i have to agree with you iyeb. i was there with my colleagues and decided to give it a try!!!
as you said, the couple is really worth watching. was discussing with my colleagues about their absolutely fantastic memory. though there was quite a queue, the couple came down to my order pretty fast. but it was really worth the wait. it is really good!!
the chilli is really hot and great!the spiciness really burns your tongue bout it definitely adds the kick to the noodles. the liver pieces were really well done. but i have to say that am a great fan of liver, so what can i say. yet eating it with chilli is bound to bring the spiciness to your ears and out of them.
two thumbs up!!!:)

Was at SPH for a meeting and decided to pop by this coffee shop to try the fishball noodle. I went around lunch hour and it was very packed. Finally got a table for four, we set down and I ordered a fishball noodle with extra chilli.
I sat and watched as the husband and wife team "performed" at their hawker store. It was pretty amazing how they can remember every order and where their customers sit and all, considering there were many orders during lunch hour. And they could even recap a regular customer's order when the guy raised his hand from his table, he didn't even have to walk to the store to order! Pretty amazing!
My fishball noodle came shortly, the noodle looked red and hot with the extra chilli. The serving was just right to fill an average size tummy. If you're a big eater, I suggest you add a dollar for more noodles. The taste was good, the chilli is tasty. And the soup is good too! Normally soup provided by hawker is either too saltish or tasteless. But this stall has put in effort to make the soup tasty too. As for the fishball, its Q and bouncy.
I will go back again for more when I'm around the area. If you are, do give this fishball noodle a try. Its value for money.

Love fishballs? Love liver? Love lean pork? This fishball noodle stall is one that you cannot miss when you're around Toa Payoh area! Located opposite the JTC factor, this stall operates from morning 7am to noon 2pm only. (Sometimes they close as early as 1pm when they're sold out!)
Its hard to find $2.50 fishball noodles these days. But they stay true to their loyal customers who have been with them for many years. You can also upsize your order to $3 or more if you want more noodles and fishball.
Their fishballs are bouncy and tender. The noodles is cooked to the right tenderness that'll make you want more. Their self-created chilli is one that I cannot resists! You can ask for more if you think you can take it extra spicy.
Their other famous dish is the Fried Kway Teow. Appeared once on the chinese newspaper. This created quite a havoc for this stall as people travelled all the way from the West just to give this Fried Kway Teow a try.
This stall is sure one that you have to try!
