Wagyu Done the Japanese BBQ Way
Aburiya marinates their meats in a variety of flavours, I especially liked the Tare, traditional yakiniku sauce, a sweetish soy-based sauce. I chose most of the meats to be served with the Tare marinade.
ALL the meats were decadently succulent, mouth-wateringly juicy, addictively aromatic, melt-in-your-mouth tender, headily robust and blazingly flavoured. 1) Wagyu Ribeye ($25.50), my favourite cut because it has the best flavour, marinated in Tare
2) Wagyu Jo Karubi ($17.90), wagyu prime short rib, marinated in Tare sauce.
3) Jo Karubi ($12.90), beef prime short rib, also marinated in Tare
4) Karubi ($7.90), beef short ribs in Tare marinade.
5) Kurobuta Karubi ($9.90), pork belly marinated in Hot Miso (spicy miso).
6) Chicken, Tori ($7.90), one portion in Tare marinade and the other in the Wasamayo marinade (wasabi-mayonnaise).
7) seafood, Hotate ($10.90), scallops, and Ebi ($12.90) prawns, both in a luscious butter sauce.
8) Sausages, the Cheese Cracker ($7.90) pork, beef and cheese sausages.
9) The Horenso Salad ($10.90), a spinach salad with refreshing cucumber, onions and tossed with crispy garlic slices and (little) bits of bacon, complete with a topping of sesame sprinkles. This is my absolute favourite salad of all. 10) Portobello mushrooms ($6.90) in butter.Yummy.

Went to this resturant on X'mas Eve. Although it was raining, the ambience was great. We get to sit at a table by the waterfront!
Frankly speaking, this is my first time having Japanese Charcoal Grill.. and I really love Aburiya.
Aburiya has a wide variety of meat, vegetables, salads and side orders to choose from.
Savoury pieces of beef, lamb, pork, seafood, mushrooms all waiting to be barbequed over your very own charcoal pit in the middle of the table.
As this is our first time there, we ordered the set meal for 2 paxs so that we can try out a variety of food.
The set meal comes with a green salad (i nv like salad but this is heavenly great!), kimchi, beef stew x 2, egg soup, rice x 2, shitake mushroom, chicken (wasabimayo seasoning), beef (miso seasoning) and prawn (butter seasoning). We also order ala carte german sausage and pork cheek (hot miso).
The prawns are sooo FRESH! The mushroom simply melt in my mouth.. And the pork cheek is so crispy and yummy!!!
And definately you must try their rice ($2.90 per bowl). It is slightly expensive, but it really go wells with the bbq food.
Must tries: Green Salad, Rice, Mushroom Pork Cheek & Prawn.
As the dining area is small, the service is quite pleasant. Staff are ready when you need them, and not in your face all the time.
For the price of $118 (after GST & Service Charge) for 2 paxs, it is slightly on the high side.. But i'll definately visit the resturant again to pamper myself on special occasions. ;-)
