Anjappar (Mustafa Center)

This is one of my favourite restaurant and I find the taste and quality of service is thousand times better than any other Indian restaurant in that whole stretch of Race Course Road. Everytime, I go there, their waiters are just wonderful. Sometimes, they forget to bring the drink which I asked. And sometimes, when your eating a thali meal, they tend to act busy, hide here and there, take cover inside restrooms and stuff, I dont understand why. I have seen this thing happening. But food wise, this is the best place. As far as the real taste of India is concerned. The chefs are flown in from Chettinad, Tamilnadu - India. This restaurant specializes in Chettinad cuisine. Its a place in India called as Chettinad and the way they make the food there is simply delicious. Just browse through the menu and order just any item and its surely mind blowing. Dont know about the desserts and ice creams though, but try the Gulab Jamuns and its super yummy! Also, whenever I go there, since am a regular there, I know all the waiters etc.. Each time, they see me, they bring the food as too many times I have beem there, I always order their Chicken 65 and Chicken Biriyani and a can of Coke. Simply awesome and rocks. Also their Special Non Vegetarian Meals rocks too, whereby you can get extra rice at no additional cost. Simply tasty and so delicious. All the other Indian restaurants in Race Course road except this one, doesnt flare much in the taste segment. Still I dont know why always people rush to Banana Leaf Apollo just because they are famous, even once had a Japanese tourist bumping into me asking the direction to go to Banana Leaf Apollo standing right infront of the Little India MRT exit facing Race Course Road. So that means, they are following some old books whereas reality gets updated and upgraded each and everytime and books arent. So people, as long as your in Race Course Road, must go to _____. Fill up the blanks yourself. Thanks! Am not advertising or talking proud of the Anjappar Authentic Chettinad Restaurant, but taste wise this place rocks to the core. Then its upto you all. But the Mustafa Opp. Anjappar branch sucks. I mean the Syed Alwi Road. Also the Jurong West Central 2 branch of theirs suck too. Except the Race Course outlet. As its the matter of magic on the hands of Chefs I think. Hmm.. ;-)
