Basically, i felt that art friend got everything you need.
what you want , they provides !!!
there are stuffs range from markers, colour pencil , drawing board to the stand .... etc...
What's more, the staff are very friends !
i always go into art stuff and shops whenever, i passed-by .
Prices wise, it must depend on which items you choose, something is cheaper then the other shops while there are also things that is expensive !

Art friend is a convenient, fairly sized art supermarket located right smack between bugis and city hall.
i find Art Friend a rather intimidating store. Its one of those stores that scare me. I used to walk in there, to 'see-see' and i would get lost finding what i initially wanted. ( It doesn't help either that the cashiers prefer to stay by their cash register and their sales assistants prefer staying by their counters. ) I would usually end up like a lost deer and along with a few other lost deers in the store walking to and fro trying to figure out what we actually wanted.
The layout of the store isn't world-acclaimed. ( i used to believe the items were arranged by a drunk artist ) Yet, the simple warehouse-kinda shelves makes it all the more.. unique. Its an artist's warehouse stocked full with a variety of items, from beads..to boxes.. to canvases, all types of paper (toilet papers excluded..but then again ..), brushes, pens, pencils.. loads of everything.
One thing to note though. I bought a few brushes, pencils, an A4 canvas pad and a kneadable eraser.. and i paid about 50bux for it all ! Was i shocked ? No.
If you consider yourself an artist, (aside from being in the real world still), try being in an art-shop owner's shoe. How many amongst us Singaporeans could even draw a perfect circle in the first place ? Art business is hard business. But when you can finally draw your first perfect circle and sell it for a thousand bux. It suddenly looks easy.
Go to Art Friend with an open mind. Purchase what you need, and not what you want. That way, your wallet won't be groaning as much as you'd usually spend your night away getting drunk.
All in all, its one of the places you should go to get your art stuff, if the mama shop under your void deck doesn't stock up on drawing blocks :)
