ASTONS ! I LOVE THIS PLACE !!! The food first. The variety of foods there will simply spoil you ! I especially enjoy the steaks and grilled fish(dory i think) The atmosphere is cosy which is perfect for couple dining and having the whole family come together for a good western meal.
I also visited the ASTONS somemore in the heartlands of Tampines(near SAFRA) and the quality of the food is still there. Great Food !
However you might have to queue for at least 30-60 mins on average if it's really crowded. If you don't mind having Western dining at a simple kopitiam, do give the other ASTONS a visit :)

Good quality food, cheap and fast service.
I like their grilled fish. Although the flavour is not strong enough, the texture is nice because i find it well grilled on the outside and the softness is still maintained inside. Also there was no fishy taste. But if you are one who go for heavily flavoured food, this might not be for you.
Their fries are pretty nice as well. Soft in the inside and crispy on the outside.
Their prices are pretty affordable too. Definitely won't burn a whole in your pocket (:
Service was rather good as we did not have to wait too long for the food to arrive.
A placce to go if you are looking for affordable and nice western food.

Astons at Katong has to be my fav location for a deccent western lunch.
Do try to come early or expect to wait at least 20-30mins Every main course comes with two side dishes like rice, mashed potatos, sauteed vegs etc.
The steaks are a definite value for money! And the dish i would recommand is the IEAT burger A delish 100% beef patty, with strings of yummy coated fried onions & bacon. Shiok!
I usually go with my folks, a steak dish, a burger & a fish or chicken for 3 pax wld cost us abt $30
