I was always curious about the long queues outside Astons. One day, my curiosities beat me to it and I joined the never-ending queue. It was not a long wait to be seated, but waiting for the food was longer than I expected. I guess it was because of the lunch time hour, but I seriously feel that they were short of staff.
It took quite some time to get hold of the waiter to take down your order. Then, you had to wait even longer for the food to come. All in all, it was quite a wait before the food came.
The food was not bad though, and filling. And it is pretty cheap compared to other western food restaurants. But if I had to wait that long, I think I will go somewhere else..

After school, a few of us went over to Aston for a quick fix. To prevent ourselves from getting caught in the long queue, we went to Aston at 5pm for dinner instead.
Had the grilled fish that cost around $7 (can't remember the exact price) and it came with two side dish as well. The side dish choices are classified into two categories, one is the cold sides like potato salad, another is the hot sides which are barbequed baked beans, onion rings, fries as well as the buttered rice.
The dishes took more than 15mins to come and another downside was that the plain water are not complimentary.
The damage for three person is around $27.
True enough, when we made our exit, we were greeted by the long queues. If you want to have a meal here, do come early to avoid the queue!

Hmm i think my comments about Astons are pretty much similar with Bobo.
Ive heard of much ravings about Astons, and have always seen the long queue whenever i drove past. So one day after work, i decided to bring my family there for dinner.
Surprisingly, I dont have to wait long for my turn (it was abt 630pm). Just about 4 person in front of us, and we were served in about 5-10mins?
But the waiting time to order food is the torturing part. Yep i think they are pretty much short of staff and all the servers just seem so busy walking around and occupied with things they 'cant see' me signalling to them.
i finally got hold of a waitress to take my order when she was serving food to the table beside ours.
Everything was fine, rather filling portion of food. But I really do not see whats so nice about their food. I mean, its okay, but its nothing really fantastic.
For 4 person, we ordered 5 main dishes and the total bill came up to about $100. I guess our bill is slightly more expensive coz we ordered the more expensive stuff like wagyu beef n such, but yeah i guess its pretty cheap when compared to outside.
Conclusion: Average food, room for improvement for service and good prices.
