I had a craving for potato wedges. Not the first time. I love them!
Now, I was passing by the nearly empty Coffee Club and felt that it should be a good place for some finger food and a drink. So, I popped in and more customers came in after that.
Anyway, I digress. I ordered the soup of the day (broccoli) and felt that Ikea had better ones. Can't seem to understand why other places don't taste as good.
I had the $7 wedges but couldn't finish them. They came with sour cream and salsa sauce. I prefer the cream though. They were good.
I like the courteous staff. As for refilling of the ice water, I had to hint that my glass was nearly empty. Do ask for a glass of ice water since they don't automatically get one for you if you have just sat down.
I passed by this Japanese restaurant twice before trying the Ala Carte Buffet. Monday to Thursday at $33.90 per adult and other days for $39.90 per adult. Kids don't eat for free, around $16.90 per kid for Monday to Thursday.
While there was quite a number of variety for the buffet, I wasn't quite impressed with the refilling of the Green Tea. They started to fulfill the food orders once more customers arrived. Not that it's a bad thing but at least have someone who is assigned to be refilling the cups would have made the expensive buffet more worthwhile.
The food arrival wasn't slow, it was just right. The food itself didn't taste that bad either.
There were 3 private rooms for private functions, you have to remove your shoes in these rooms. I found the rooms rather authentic.
The servers were quite alert and attended us as soon as they could, something which I liked. However, I found the price too expensive for a buffet.
Having watched a few movies there a few times, I must say, I'm quite satisfied with the seats and the range of finger food being offered. I like potato wedges and I think this is the only place where wedges are being offered, although a tad more expensive and less than having them in cafe.
The seats are not too uncomfortable although there are too many commercials running running for around 30 minutes before showing the movie.
It would be better to show the movie after 5 - 6 minutes of commercials since we pay for the movie, not the commercials. Overall, I like the legroom. However, if there were to be someone sitting in front of me, I would have a head outline instead of having the privilege to watch the whole screen.

I took a day off to enjoy the high tea. There was a complimentary voucher for it so I went there.
We arrived slightly early and were shown to our seats. For a weekday, this place wasn't that empty. The variety at the buffet was enough to tantalise my food buds. When the accidentally dropped a receipt on my plate of nachos, they took it away. I would have appreciate a new plate but where got high tea got waiters replace, right?
I enjoyed the high tea thoroughly and would like to go back there again once I have another pair of vouchers though.
It's my first visit and I quite enjoyed the place. We selected a few games for 6 and had fun trying to outdo each other. Drinks wise felt a little like I was in K Box or Party World, limited drinks.
As for the food, there wasn't much option since they would give us the package, anything else would be topped up. Since the focus isn't for food, we started with the games. Most of the games were worst for the wear but I won't expect well-maintained games since the games and cards have to pass through quite a number of hands.
It's rather cramped if you have a large group of people going there. For 6 people, it's just nice. I would recommend this place if you like to have games and some finger food.
