I went to this cafe twice. The first time, the table and chairs were placed too close to each other. There wasn't really enough space to sit comfortably without hitting the person behind you.
The second time, the layout and chairs have changed. It's more comfortable. The place can be rather cold for those who cannot stand the cold.
Groups of about 6 can take the tables that are longer. There are about 4 such tables. The orders are written in the order pad given. Although I found it strange that they didn't check their pencils. The one on the table I was sitting at had a broken lead head.
The food took quite a long time to arrive, more than 15 minutes for a basket of potato wedges. The cost is rather reasonable compared to the same basket of potato wedges being sold at Cathay counters. I found more wedges in NEbo than at Cathay.
The staff are very young as this place is catered to the group of ages from 16 - 25. Membership is available to that group age too.
It isn't that bad and more improvements can be made as it is located next to the cinema and the patrons expect the food to arrive fast enough so that they won't enter the cinema late after that.
Been there a few times. The place is gigantic. The aisles are arranged in systematically and the items easy to grab. It isn't too crowded on weekday evenings.
I found the cashier queue too long to wait. Even with the express checkout line, I see trolleys filled to the brim queuing up at the express checkout lines.
Not all the stuff sold are cheaper than other supermarkets either.
Having read the newspapers since young, I found this to be information in certain areas. As it is a local news, the news are focused on local news although, not all news.
News about overseas have to be sourced from elsewhere and the online site provides only a certain number of free stories. The members have to pay a subscription if they want to read other news. A discount is given only to those who have a subscription to the print version too.
I find this an extra cost. Other news sites like New York Times, The Herald (UK), and BBC offer free RSS feeds for all news based on the categories.
It would be a better experience if RSS feeds are also offered so as to trim down reading time.
I bought some items from there once. I found the items being sold are organic. Food items are mostly snacks and items that need to be cooked. It is a supermarket for those seeking healthy food alternatives.
As the location is rather secluded, one can miss the entrance if one doesn't notice the surroundings. For some, the prices can be considered exorbitant if compared to non-organic food.
I found the location not accessible by train as you have to take a bus from Orchard MRT just to reach Tanglin Mall. If I didn't worked there previously, I wouldn't have gone there just to buy anything.
I did a walk-in for some eye-brow trimming, I took the shaving option as it was cheap. The ambiance is relaxing and all I had to do was to lie down on the bed while the lady did her stuff.
After the trimming, I noticed that my left eyebrow was slightly higher in arch than the right. Perhaps, I have used that left eyebrow to arch too much and thus, the result.
I have rather high eyebrows and while the shape was nice, I didn't fancy the uneven heights of the eyebrows. The good thing is that they are not hard selling and during the trimming session, the lady suggested that I should go for eyebrow embroidery. I have yet to take up her suggestion.
