I had been to this outlet about some years ago with my cousins. At that time it had just started out so there weren't many people there but the array of games they had really left a very deep impression on me. Before that I didn't even think we could have so much fun and spend so much time with just boardgames as entertainment. Furthermore, as I set a record for 1 of the games that day, I received a free mocha. haha added plus. :)

2 days ago, I went there again. This time with a group of friends. When we reached there, we were assigned 2 tables on the upper level maybe because our group was too big? (10 people). But in the end we merged into 1 table so we could have better bonding. haha. As it was a public holiday, we could not enjoy priveleges like ladies night etc. so we ordered a deluxe package (for 6) and standard package (for 4). The packages included 2 hours gaming time and drinks for all with a party platter and a side dish of our choice. (we chose chicken wings) and then we started playing.

The games as usual included unique card games and board games good for bonding and interaction. No worries if you don't know the games cos the staff there are friendly and they'll explain the games to you.

I would recommend this place for large groups of friends cos you would be able to try the games suited for more people, and of course it'll be a more happening and louder affair. haha. However, unless you order the main courses, it'll be best to grab a bite before you go there. If not you might be left hungry after sharing the platter within the big group :p An alternative is having supper together after the gaming session, like what we did. heh.

On the whole, I think it's quite a good place to chill out with friends, but it's almost always fully booked so remember to reserve seats first!

Step into Eden Cafe, and its homeliness is the first thing that hits you. Friendliness is next, as Clement and his team greeted us with their warm smile and polite gestures. Service like this is getting hard to come by on our little island! The cosiness of the cafe makes it the perfect place for a quiet evening dinner.

I'm a fish lover, but only if they have no fishy stink and no fish bones. So, Clement recommended me their Ginger Leak Snowfish, which is a made-to-order dish. I was swept off my feet! It has zero fishy stink and fish bones. Unlike regular fishes, the snowfish does not split into bits as you cut it. And most importantly, it tastes really good! It is covered in a special sauce which has peanuts in it for that nice crunchy bite.

My friend tried their famous Black Sesame Mushroom Pasta. The pasta is home-made and is dark in colour. As Clement said, this dish is pretty subjective. Some people might love it, while some might really hate it. I guess I belong to the latter, while my friend belongs to the former, as she loves black sesame. Being one of Eden Cafe's famous dishes, I'm sure there are more people who love it than otherwise. A truly unique dish that you can't find anywhere else!

Finally, we had their Lily Citron Jello. It is a jelly kind of dessert that is stuffed with grapes and topped with fresh yogurt and yummy strawberries. It is as healthy as how good it tastes!

Eden Cafe also serves many kinds of floral teas and floral cuisine. All very healthy food that I want to try one day.

Eden Cafe is definitely a 5-star. I'm already salivating right now over the thought of the Ginger Leak Snowfish!

I went to Korea for an exchange last summer and had krispy kreme there almost every day for breakfast or supper. It was really good. I can say the best donuts I've eaten ever =D

So when I came back to Singapore, I really missed this daily treat alot. Then I heard about this donut craze here in singapore too, DONUT FACTORY! but everytime I walked past the outlet in Raffles City, the queue was so long that I did not feel like waiting. So never had the chance to taste the donuts.

Until this outlet at Suntec! I was randomly shopping around at Suntec when I realised that people were carrying boxes of donuts walking around! So my friend and I decided to go take a look. Lo and behold, there was an outlet there and the queue was not long at all. It took perhaps only about 10 minutes to get to the counter and the staff was very efficient.

At first I was still worried that I would not be able to buy the hot favourite flavours that I've long heard about. But it turned out that the donuts were stocked up very fast with like up to 6 staff baking in the kitchen! In the end I bought a box of a dozen donuts. 4 double chocs, 2 peanut dark choc, Lotus Mocha, Spicy Cheese, mint choc and I can't remember what else as I just asked the staff to give me 1 each of the remaining flavours. haha but I can say that they were all soft and fluffy, fresh and delicious donuts! i particularly liked the double choc where the choc inside oozes out when you bite into it. and the spicy cheese which gave a really different feel to the donut, especially for cheese lovers like me!

Finally a chance to satisfy my donut craving and I can say it's almost as good as Krispy Kreme. Not to mention that you can get them quite fast. Think the staff is rather efficient, only that the cashier is quite slow. Heh. But overall, I had quite a good experience there. Next time I go, I'll probably go try out those stuff on the menu. Looking foward to the donut set meals =)

Another vote on the bad back rest. The angle is awkward. And it gave me an aching neck after just a short 100 minutes show.

But the other Yebbers are definitely right about the spacious seats and the clean (but which cinema isn't clean while it's new?) comfy feel.

I still prefer The Cathay. :)

UNO Beef House is one of my favourite place for western food! I believe they are famous for their steaks, but since I'm no steak lover I can't give any steaky recommendations.

But their fish & chips and chicken chops are excellent! Portion is large and prices are reasonable (around $4.50 and above).

It helps that they are so near my home. :) Highly recommended if you happen to be free to drop by.

I totally agree with Natsu, the queuing system at IKEA Restaurant & Cafe made me felt like I was in National Service again! Queuing up and picking up food along the way just feels so much like NS.

In case you are wondering, no that is not a compliment. :)

The food is pretty decent, but the price is a little on the high side. I tried their Chicken Chop Rice.

Finally, getting seats might prove to be difficult with the amount of people there. So be prepared to spend a little time waiting.

What a pleasant surprise, when I discovered the good food and excellent service at Hog's Breathe Cafe yesterday. It was my birthday, so the good stuffs were definitely welcomed!

I had their Atlantic Salmon with fries and salad. The portion is huge and it's very nice! I tried their Chicken Tender too, which is just as good.

The prices are fairly reasonable for their portion. At the end of the meal we were really really full!

    Definitely must re-visit. :)

Ah Mei Cafe at Ang Mo Kio Hub caught my attention due to the crowds of people queueing up for it!

Initially I was at AMK Hub for a movie. After the movie, we were walking around the shopping centre, doing some window shopping at the same time. It was then that we realised that a crowd was gathering outside this cafe that was situated at the middle aisle of the level, in between the two rows of shops.

On a closer look, we realised that it was Ah Mei Cafe. By it's name, we thought that it served only chinese food, however when we looked at the menu, we realised that it sold malay and indian food like nasi bryani and roti prata. Apart from these food, a large variety of drinks commonly sold at the coffeeshop were also sold there.

Looking at the crowds, we decided to try it out. But in the end, we had to wait for about half an hour before we got a seat. For your information, there were only about 10 tables surrounding the cafe, seating maybe a maximum of 30 plus people at one time. So we actually only got a table of 4 after standing and waiting beside people who were still eating. That was in fact a little embarrassing because it felt like we were hurrying them. However, everybody there seemed to be aware of the limited spaces so we did not have to wait even longer. We were really thankful when we finally got the seats.

When we settled down, we ordered food - pratas ( plain and egg) and nasi bryani (chicken) and drinks - teh o, iced mocha, kopi o and teh susu. The nasi bryani and drinks could be collected upon ordering and the portion was rather big, with a jumbo leg included. However we had to wait for the pratas but the aunties at the stall were very nice and so made our wait easier. The stall also had an automated queue signboard, so you could go back to your table first and not loiter around the area waiting.

The pratas were large however the flour was rather thick so there was less crisp and fluff, as compared to the other pratas I've eaten. However it was still of acceptable standard as I finished 3 of them at one sitting. Not forgetting the price that I paid for them ($1.60 for 2 pratas), it was still worthwhile.

On the whole, we had a filling and inexpensive dinner. Although it would have been much better if there was more seating, so that people would be able to sit around longer and have chats without feeling rushed or embarrassed.

I have been a Starhub MaxOnline user for many years too. Let's see...at least 7 years? It has been serving me really well, and it's so nice of them to increase their plans' bandwidth for free (then again, it could be that they are holding back their speed and giving us bit by bit).

I'm on the cheapest plan, mainly because I'm the only person at home using it. I don't know if upgrading my plan will help, but whenever I try SingNet at my friends' home, it feels faster. I believe it's the ping time. The same reason why online gamers swear by SingNet. But when it comes to downloading, Starhub seems to excel with really fast speeds.

All in all, I am a satisfied customer. But I do hope they will reduce their pricing. I admit I've been tempted several times to hop to SingNet due to their lower prices.

This is a rather new restaurant and till now I've tried the food there twice upon recommendation by my friend.

Initially, I was just searching for a place with a nice ambience and good food to chill out and spend time with my friends. But it turned out to be a rather nice experience.

As we went there slightly before the peak hours, we did not have to queue long before we got a seat. We were seated on cushioned sofas which were very comfortable and quickly ordered our meals!

The first dish that arrived was the grilled chicken which my friend ordered. The dish consisted of half a chicken and also came with rice and spices. It was a rather filling meal but my friend commented that the chicken was a little overcooked thus the meat was quite dry and a little tough. However she still finished the dish so i guess it was alright.

Then the pastas arrived. My friends ordered "Waterworld" which was seafood pasta, and black pepper chicken pasta. Both dishes were quite well-liked although one of my friends commented that the black pepper was a little too spicy.

Finally my meal came! I tried the cheese chicken, which also came with thick mango slices and nachos. The sweetness of the mango blended well with the cheese on the chicken and the nachos was a good choice as a sidedish.

Overall, the food came in adequate portions and was quite tasty but the staff took quite some time to top up the water.

On my second visit, I went after a day of shopping to try the one-for-one waffle promotion on fridays and saturdays after 10. As it was on promotion, we could only choose from 3 flavours, vanilla, chocolate and strawberry but we could order 2 scoops each. The taste of the icecream waffle was normal but for it's price it was rather worthwhile. So if you are around the suntec/marina area at about 10, feel free to go there to get a refreshing dessert!
