I use XiYan regularly for entertainment. It is different. Nice ambiance and the location is in itself a talking point. Service is good, and the wine list better than most chinese restaurants I have come across. Juts like a japanese omakase or french degustation meal, you leave the selection mix to the chef. Some will hit home, some will not but overall, you place yourself at the chef's culinary choices for the evening.
