Chanced upon this tiny cosy cafe at the basement of Century Square when I was there with my mum last week. Since mum is currently on a healthy diet, we decided to give this organic cafe a try.

Can't remember the actual name of the dish but its grilled cod fillet with brown rice. (Not on the main menu. Its a $9.90 promotion menu or something.) But just look for it lah! Cause its super yummy! I'm not a fish person (that's why I ordered the spicy beef spaghetti which was also very good) but I enjoyed eating my mum's dish!

Another must try is their yogurt. They've many toppings to choose from, we had the mango one. Nice.

If I'm not wrong, they also have an outlet at Velocity.

Something different from the usual Swensen's outlet. Earle serves a finer menu and yet have their famous sundaes and fish and chips.

Went to Earle at Vivo almost everytime we were there for dinner. What we enjoyed most is the salad bar that comes with all main course order. Not alot of variety but enough to make you want to have more than just one serving.

If you're there with a friend, try their Cioppino. Yummy sauce and fresh crayfish. Sure to fill 2 hungry tummies. If you're not into sharing, and can't decide whether to take the chicken or the seafood, give Surf & Turf a try. Chicken breast meat, fresh prawn and fresh crayfish grilled to perfection! The thought of it now just make me want to have it now!

So if you're down at Vivo and don't know where to makan, try Earle Swensen's.

    Updated 23 September 2007
I returned today with a few yebbers for lunch. After reading their menu for 30mins (while waiting), I decided to try their lobster. There were 2 options, the grilled or the baked. When I saw my order, I was rather upset and thought I should have taken the baked lobster instead. The lobster looked white and there's no sign of grilling done. Tasted it and ya, definetly not grilled. Or maybe they did for like 5 seconds? It's more boiled than grilled.

This time round, the quality of the food dropped. Wasn't just my own opinion, but the others there with me also mentioned that the food isn't good. Quite disappointed with my visit this time round. Might give this place a miss the next time I'm at Vivo. Hence, I'm re-rating Earle Swnsen's.

Great place to check out on Sundays. This Flea Market has been around for many years. (It was previously at Clarke Quay if I'm not wrong.)

    What you'll find there?
Collectors items, Toys, Vintage stuff, Second-hand stuff, Fashion accessories, bags and many many interesting finds.

Do give this place a go if you've got no where to shop on Sunday.

Nearest MRT station: Chinatown or Raffles Place

I was back again recently and took a video of what you will usually find at China Square Central Flea Market.

This is THE place to get all your scrapbooking and paper supplies! They have the largest collection of materials such as pattern papers, tools and embellishments. The largest scrapbooking store in Asia I think.

The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Always willing to give a helping hand. For mummys out there, they can help look after your kids while you shop too! (Well, this one depends on the crowd lah. If its very busy day, try to understand.)

They have very cool workshops too! Learn to scrapbook and create pretty handmade albums and cards.

If you're around Plaza Singapura, check out their store!

    166. K Box Karaoke System

If you are looking for a Karaoke system, you may want to take a look at this GV DVD player with BIK amplifier and speakers distributed by K Box.

I have not been to any K Box Karaoke room, but I see no different with this home karaoke system. You can select songs from the remote control and adjust your voice frequency from the key control button. What else do we need? Perhaps a good wireless mic that can make our voice sounds like a professional.

The thing which I am more appreciated is the service provided by this company. I had some problem initially after the installation and I called the company to report the problem. The person who attended my call, David, after listening to my complaint, insisted to come to my house to take a look at the system. In fact, he and Sam came down on the same day and replace a new unit immediately to solve my problem. Till now, my system is working fine.

Good jobs, guys. For this, I will give it a 5.

Although it happened quite a few months back, I thought it might be good to post it here for the benefit of others. I saw on paper an advertisement ( sometime at the beginning of year ) regarding the 'Golden Voice' DVD player which claims to be able to record karaoke and allow on screen selection of songs.

This interest me because I know that :-

    1) No DVD player in the market can record karaoke from DVD and
    2) to have on screen song selection will require a computer to be connected

I was looking high and low to have a player that can record karaoke and selection of song for playback like in Karaoke lounge. But I do not want to have a Computer attached. I thought this is exactly what I want and immediately call up to make enquiry.

There was this guy ( sounds very Ah Beng ) who pick up the phone and I started asking question. I only need to verify the above two points and his answer was:-

    1) 'Can, who say cannot...'
    2) 'No need Computer, you can come down and see it yourself..'

I am not convinced because there was no logical explanation at all. So I told him I still cannot understand how it works and he said, 'I already tell you a lot. You come down and take a look.' with a very impatient voice.

I must say that there is nothing wrong with the shop, but the attitude of the salesman is a big problem. That ended our conversation and I never visited his shop.

This is one of my favourite Indonesia Restaurant. The best dish is the Beef Rendan. I can't find any better Rendan than this. It is so tender, a little sweet and hot but not spicy. Of course, besides this, there are many other nice dishes as well. If you like Indonesian food, you must give this a try.

I was told that many youngsters make their own products especially hand bags, T-Shirt, necklace and ear rings etc to sell it on the net, but never do I know that the no. of online blogstore is more than I can imagine.

I really admire these youngsters. They are really creative. They can really do somethings which we adults can never think of doing. I would have thought of how to collect money, how to deliver and how to avoid false transaction etc when selling things online. But the younsters seems to do it without any fear. They don't really border about the appearance of their blogstore ( but many have good design too ). They simply sell anything they can create.

The main criteria for these blogstore seems to be cheap and creative. I wonder are they doing it for fun or for profit? Are their customers mainly students? May be this is what our government wants, ie, Entrepreneur.

Whatever it is, time has changed and the way to do things change too. All the best to all the online blogstore owners and keep up with the good works.

Located inside the mall, it is quite a convenient place for lunch/dinner before or after shopping. There are more than 100 different types of dishes for selection. Previously, the serving was quite small, it was catered for one person. Now the serving is meant for 2 person and the price has increased.

For 4 person or more, you will be able to try out many types of dishes serving in small portion. Most dishes range from $6.00 to $15.00 and you can choose as many as you like unlike the traditional 10-course chinese food.

I personally strongly recommend this restaurant.
