I am always a big fan of Soup Spoon when I need something light yet filling for my meal.

I loved their soups especiall clam chowder and tokyo chicken stew. Each soup is filled with chunky pieces of clam or chicken with vegetables and/ or potatoes. Each soup will come with their specially made bread. It can be upgraded into a full meal with either half a wrap or sandwich plus a ice tea.

Their pot pie is also very good. The crust is crispy yet tasty when blended with the soup. It comes with a small serving of salad and ice tea.

They got ready packed soups to bring home reheat and eat in the comfort of your own home.

They got a rewards card that you will get a stamp for every $5 spend and once completed, you can redeem a drink and a bowl of grande soup of your choice. Definitely worth every cent!

Minds Cafe is a great place to meet up with frens at the same time to eat and play boardgames as well.

The staff are friendly. There are tons of games to choose from, fromt he brainles games to the more intellgent games.

However sometimes to go there during peak hours, the place might get a bit too noisy to hold a normal conversation with friends. At times there will be stranger approaching you as they are to do some forfeit as they had lost their game or something like that.

One of the places that I would choose to go and hang out with my friends and to spend a great time there.

Remember to make reservation before going down to avoid disappointment. Hee....

Every time I walked past the stall, I will definitely stop and buy a sardine puff or a crispy yam puff or BOTH! Haa..... Especially when both of them are freshly fried from the fryer.

The crust is flaky yet crispy, not oily at well. The fillings inside are jz right, for the sardine, not too hot or spicy, for the yam, not to sweet.

Well I had been to the this Japanese restaurant quite some time ago. So I can't really remember what I had eaten there. However, without a doubt, the quality of the food there is not satisfactory, and is not worth the money paying.

In addition, the staff were slow in their service even though there were not that many customers around at that time. In the ned, I did finish up my meal cos like Natsu, I was just too hungry at that time and I don;t wanna see my money go to waste in a way.

Suffice to say, that was a really disappointing meal for me and I won't be going back again for sure. And guess what, I walked past the restaurant last week and it was all covered up. Not sure if its under renovation or the business winded up liao.

I never really like to go concerts at the Max Pavilion for the following reasons:

    1. The location. Jz damned ulu and far.

    2. Transportation. The cab going out from there have surcharge, the MRT ended its run around the same time the concerts ended, and bus stops are a long way as well.

    3. The seating arrangements are bad as they are on the flat ground. The tired seats are all the way back at the concert hall.

    4. The sound system. Not really good for the past few concerts I had been too. A lot of interferences for the sound systems. Sometimes, music too loud and cannot heard the singer sing etc.

    5. There is usually a large crowd as there are exhibitions, church servcies etc. This will lead to not enough parking lots etc.

The only reason y I go there for concerts cos the singers I like decided to go there to hold their concerts. Sigh... Give me indoor stadium anytime!

I decided to go there when I came upon an article about this place in a magazine. Since I had not tasted how black pork tasted, so go and give it a try.

The restaurant is among the many other japanese restaurants in the Central. Managed to locate the place easily.

The setting of the restaurant is a mixed of tradition and modern jap. We was seated near to the window with a view of clarke quay and Singapore River.

After looking through the menu, decided for starters, a deep fried sweet potato and for main, Black Pig Loin Katsu set and a Seafood Katsu Set.

The sweet potato was good and not oily as it is deep fried. Loved it!

For the main dish, the seafood set is generous with the tempura prawns, if not a normal seafood set in other jap restaurants. For the Black Pig Loin Katsu set, the black pig loin is tender and simply melts in my mouth. Even my friend who is not a pork lover, likes the taste of it!

Each set comes with free flow of cabbage and rice. The staff will ask you if you you need a refill.

They still got a lot of dishes with black pig pork so can give it a try! The service there is also quite good as well.

Pls note that the price might be a bit on the higher side as the pork are imported by air daily to ensure its freshness.

Uno Beef House, one of the best place for cheap and good steak!

Was introduced by a colleague and was hooked onto it. Be prepared to wait up for an hour for the food to arrive pipping hot in front of you! Need to have patience for good food, that is how popular is that place.

The coffeeshop is not easily accessible yet able to have crowd, so this show the food is really good there!

I recommend the sirloin steak ($10) which comes with a special deep fried mash potato ball. Together with its mushroom sauce, it is almost prefect.

Why almost? Well I ordered medium rare, even though, it came in the right tone, outside cooked and inside raw. I was slightly disapointed that the steak did not ooze out any blood when I sliced it. A bit too dry for my liking.

The coleslaw and the chicken wings are also worth a try. Heard that they added in some durian in the coleslaw, I could not taste it out though.

The owner of the place is friendly and is open to all comments.

Will definitely go back for the steak again!

GV Vivocity expecially GV Max is my top choice when going to the movies.

    Reasons being:

    1. Loved the large leg space. Dun have the feeling of being cramped any more.

    2. Large screen. Jz loved it! Haa...

    3. Great sound system.

    4. The layout of the cinema. Spacious and wide! Do not have the feeling of like being in a very cramped place.

    5. Many ticket counters and snack counters as well.

The only thing I dun like is the exit point of the cinemas, tend to led out all the way out of vivocity and need to make a loop to go back to the shopping centre again.

Was at this restaurant a couple of months back with my girlfriend and her friend. I was formerly introduced to this place by my colleague and so decided to give it a try.

The place was quite nicely done up and if you were sitting by the window, you can get a good glimpse of the lights and the Singapore River while having your dinner.

So after we were seated, we ordered Black Pig Shabu Shabu, Black Pig Loin Katsu set and extra plates of the Shabu Shabu meat. I must say that the Shabu Shabu meat was really tender and juicy. The taste was realy good, with the meat just melting in your mouth almost instantly. As for the Pig Loin Katsu, it was crispy and yet nt too oily, which was very good.

Unfortunately,we did not get to eat their dessert which was the Orange Jelly and Nagasi Warabi Mochi, which were already sold out when we wanted to place our order.

Overall, I would say that the food there taste really fantastic. However, the quantity of food is catered mainly either for one to two pax consumption depending on ur choice. Therefore I would be recommended to order extra plates of meat if you are a meat lover.

However, do take note that the prices there are slightly steeper due to the high quality of the meat, which is the Berkshire pork ("black pig") which is imported from the United States. As such, you may consider ordering extra plates of meat when you have finished your intial serving and wanna have more.

Another vote on the bad back rest. The angle is awkward. And it gave me an aching neck after just a short 100 minutes show.

But the other Yebbers are definitely right about the spacious seats and the clean (but which cinema isn't clean while it's new?) comfy feel.

I still prefer The Cathay. :)
