Sarong Fly is indeed nice. But the place's a little quiet even on weekends. Great for a romantic stargazing (if there are even stars) night, and for gossip sessions with a group of friends.

If you're looking for a place to try vietnamese food, I highly recommend this shop at Caltex House. It is located near Raffles Place MRT Station, very convenient to go to.

The food comes in huge servings and taste almost similar to those that you can get in Vietnam, only that it is slightly tastier here to cater to the likings of Singaporeans. It is a must try!

However, as the shop is located at Raffles Place, it is very crowded during lunch hours and the shop unit is very small. The shop is only opened slightly before lunch hour, till around 4pm.

I went to Ho Chi Minh just last November. Just a note for caution to people who intend to go to Ho Chi Minh, be careful when boarding taxis there. Some meters there run so fast that it could cost you double the price to get to a particular place.

Not much night life there. Only pubs are open after 9pm . For people who are into nightlife such as shopping or eating, this probably isn;t the place to go.

This cinema has sofas! Relaxing sofas that can sit 2 or 3 people? Ok 2's the ideal figure. The sofas bring movie-watching to a higher level. I think you have to pay a special price for it, but you could just sneak up there when there's no one. Either ways, it's worth a try!

But if you're a person really particular about service, this place probably isn't one that I'll recommend. Could be a one-time biased judgement but I was turned off by their services when I went there. I purchased two tickets and only realized I was given one when I was about to enter the cinema. Lucky for me, the guy at the counter recognized us and recalled that we paid for two tickets and so we managed to get in without much trouble. But I was shocked when I overheard part of the conversation between two of the people working there that this was not the first time someone was short of tickets. I'm sure it would have been quite a turn off if anyone were to be rushing to go for their movie and were to be held up by such an incident.

BreadTalk offers nice breads and cakes, that I totally agree. It's fresh also, considering how there's almost constant flow of human traffic in and out of the shop and the bread has to be refilled every now and then. I won't say that the breads there are cheap. But it is definitely of better standards than those in the neighbourhoods, and maybe that would explain for the difference in price.

New and huge shopping mall. And when I say "huge", I mean huge. (Well but then again, it's relative. If you've been to malls overseas, it's normal.)

The shops there range from the average shops you'd find at neighbourhood malls to the high-end shops such as Zara, as well as many new foreign brands like Gap and River Island. I would say it's a good place for shopping for teens and adults as if you have the time to cover each shop, you'll be able to find clothes of various styles and designs that would suit many.

Also, there are many food outlets there, ranging from fast-food outlets to high-end restaurants, which includes Japanese, Chinese and Western cuisine. Ideal for spending the whole day there, shopping and eating! So who needs Hong Kong when you can eat and shop in Vivo City, Singapore?

In addition, the place is very easily accessible, despite it being at Harbour Front. Not a bad place to go. (:

Compared to Taka's Kino, this place is pretty small. The things you can find there are limited to only reading materials, unlike those at Kino. It's good enough for someone who's out looking for just books to read during your leisure time. But if you're looking for more reference materials on interior designing and such, Kinokuniya at Takashimaya is better.

I agree! I think this shop is really small and hard to walk about. If you're a frequent customer, you probably know where to go and get your stuff. But if you're not, with that limited space, it's really quite annoying especially when there's alot of people in there.

Excellent place to chill out! Probably the liveliest place to be in Holland Village. The live band performance and the enthusiastic crowd is what make the place a favorite of mine.

Every Thursday and Saturday, The UnXpected will play here. Shirlyn's lovely voice, Brandon's drumming skills, and Rene's proficiency with his guitar never fails to amaze me.

Oh, their chicken wings and alcohols are awesome too!

BreadTalk makes really nice breads and cakes, which sell at affordably low prices. I love their pork floss buns! Also great for grabbing some food on the way to work.
