Unfortunately I never had the chance to step into their premise, and judging from the tele-marketing calls I've received so far, it's a good thing.

The tele-marketing team is superbly hardworking, so much so that they remember to call me once a day to remind me of this sms they sent and to chase up for an appointment. Even on a weekend - I'm impressed.

After the first few calls and me telling them I am only going to look at the sms when I have time (and for them NOT to call me again), they decided to change their tact. Their calls became to want to reconfirm a phantom appointment the next day 2pm. Smart of them huh. Even after I told them that I didnt make any, they'd still call me the next day asking to reconfirm my 2pm appointment the next day. They just keep trying don't they.

The last straw was just yesterday when I received the same call, and I think from the same lady too (or maybe they all just sound the same) asking to reconfirm my appointment at 2pm 'tomorrow'. I raised my voice, asked her to please take me off the calling list, and all she said was "oh, does this mean you are not interested?".

It took a whole week of them to get that. Well done.

Expect good discounts in this NIKE Factory Outlet store, though you might just see up to a max of 55%, remember that NIKE items are usually discounted from 10%-30% if you are just so blessed... Being controlled priced... you hardly could find a salivating discount for NIKE products.

I like this NIKE Factory Outlet, though i expect more discounts, but the items there are not exactly out of fashion even though there are still some dodgy looking ones. 2 things out of the many merchandizes I love to buy here..

    1. NIKE Sport Shoes.... because they are always on a great discount of 30% and above and they mostly have mine size which is a common 8. You will also find some really outstanding designs that you may not find in departmental stores or other outside stores, designs such as high cut nike shoes (not basketball shoes) just high cut and washed in a sweet pink with some furry parts... I bought a pair of street walking NIKE shoes too... Leather black with purple trimmings and an excellent sole for just $39.90 last week.

    2. T-Shirts..... You cannot imagine how pricey Nike T-shirts can be, i mean we all know how cheap t-shirts can get especially these days when you can buy then online, but the material and make of Nike T-shirts are very precise, in terms of the stitching and wear experience is good, higher end materials are used to prevent deformation and durability as well as comfort on the body. They have quirky and motivating designs in which both says SPORTSMAN / SPORTSWOMAN... or the infamous RUNNER... which i find so appealing... They do come with great deals like 2 for $29.90 and you could mostly be able to find your size.

Service is good in NIKE... you have free and easy browsing, nobody to suck up to you or watch you like an owl... You could do whatever you want however, when you needed something.. you could always find somebody to help you. I was browsing some shoes and immediately a lady came to ask me if i needed some other sizes and even volunteered socks for me.

I should say my experience at this outlet is a good one and I've always been patronizing them and will still do... On top of that... Merchandise is exchangeable within 14 days at the factory outlet store with original packing and defective items may be returned within 6 months with receipt.. I mean with such a policy... we could really buy with faith...

I stumbled upon this very interesting cafe after watersports at Kallang River one evening. Everything was right, the location, the look of the building, the ambiance, the smell in the air, the delectable snacks and the people lounging around enjoying their moment of quiet reading.

Loysel's Toy is a one of its kind coffee hideout. Nestled next to picturesque Kallang River in a low white building surrounded by lush greenery of the park, drowning the air with aromatic coffee and baked muffins.

I chose a table just outside the cafe... Yes they do have air-con sitting inside the cafe however on a cool day like this, I rather enjoy some fresh air. Their coffee menu was a good mix of the regulars and some special extensive and interesting mixes... I mean these guys are the COFFEE CRAFTERS... and coffee is a serious business to them. Though I'm enticed by the thought of trying something dangerous, I've decided to go for my regular latte, which is a good balance of acidity and sweetness... I've of chosen a peanut butter muffin and I must say.. its perfectly nutty on the inside and the melted peanut butter cream on the top just gives it the oomph....

If you would like some nice aromatic beans or interested in having a professional coffee maker in your house... You could also find some there or enquire on their webpage... Oh yar.... They also do rental of bicycles for cycling around the Kallang riverside park.. and the bicycles look so not like the East Coast Park kind.. its more of a city bike and so leisurely luxurious :)

It is a great experience and prices are about Coffee Bean / Starbucks kind of price range. The setting is lovely and i think its a great place to hang out with friends or have some personal time. I appreciate joints like Loysel's Toy as there is really not many of such dwellings around in the urban city like ours. I look forward to much more time hanging here :)
Oh Yar! By the way.. Really nice Logo... Like a stamp from some old toys... very nostalgic

I discovered this place when a friend brought me here with much enthusiasm about a dessert, and I thought I should be adventurous. And I am glad I did!

Chicken Pide with Cheese ($16.90) - Turkish pizza I call it. And it was excellent with thin crust and the edges just nicely crispy, and minced chicken flavourful on its own and the cheese adding the final touches to the dish. It should be okay for 1pax but not 1 very hungry pax.

Kunefe ($12.90) - a couple layers of shredded pastry joined by a thin layer of unsalted cheese, baked in a hot oven, topped off with light syrup, served with pistachios and a drizzle of cream - the signage proudly shouts "a piece of heaven" and "the best dessert you'll ever have". And you know what, they were almost right! This is unlike any dessert I've ever tried and not too sweet to boot. The cripsy baked pastry melded too well with the unsalted cheese~ And apparently they must have ran out of pistachios coz mine came with almonds, not that I'm complaining. The cream came in a quantity obviously more than a drizzle - more like a moat - but it was not too bad and ended up adding an omph to the presentation.

Service was nothing to complain about as the place is small and the seemingly experienced (Turkish?) staff were rather efficient.

A nice find I must say, with nice food to boot, plus no crowd to jostle with. Will be back just for the Kunefe!

I am surprise that Kim Robinson is not yet listed on Yebber, so here I am :)

Due to a stroke of good luck, I had the opportunity to experience a moisture treatment plus a cleanse & finish (wash and blow) which is supposed to take 2 hours and it cant be redeemed on Fri, Sat, and PH, so I booked for a Sunday slot.

I have the say the premise is impressive, and you do feel the difference when you step into the atas salon. Upon being seated, you'd be asked if you'd like any drink, and they did have peppermint tea ~

I was led into a similarly atas winding corridor into the common area where a few other tai tai were being seated. My therapist Bernice introduced herself and explained the steps of the treatment to me - 2 steams plus 2 rinses. Perhaps the difference was felt during the rinse as they were very gentle, although I felt that the techniques could have been better and included some sort of massage. The moisture treatment was over and done with in half hour.

I was then ushered to another area for the finish and the artist Keith similarly came over to introduce himself and recommended a simply style of finish. He was very thorough I must add, carefully making sure that the finish is indeed well, finished. He also passed me his namecard at the end and ushered me out to the reception area thereafter.

Little touches like making sure you're alright during rinses and replacing the tea with hot ones were appreciated.

Before leaving, I also received a first timer's welcome pack which contains 5 vouchers for mani /pedi, cut highlight, cut, scalp treatment which I will definitely use as the prices are reasonable (the ala carte prices are not).

Honestly, I didnt feel my prizes was worth the $200 it was advertised for. Yes it was a nice experience and all that but for the fact it was Kim Robinson and for $200 , I was expecting a wow somewhere. But it didnt happen. Maybe it was the fact that they knew I was not a paying customer but that shouldn't affect the service provided, no?

This review is a bit late but better late than never I guess. I booked a promotional massage at $33 on a Saturday together with a facial too. When we called to make the appointment, we informed that we were booking for 2 treatments accordingly.

When we arrived, surprise surprise, we were told that as both promos were for first timers, we were allowed only for 1 as technically after the first treatment, we would no longer be first timers and thus not eligible for the 2nd treatment.

Left with no choice, we opted for the massage instead of the facial, but was told that the massage was arranged for the 2nd hour only, and for us to go walk around and return. So we concluded that they'd rather have the slots empty and not make a sale instead of letting us proceed with both treatments.

We walked around and returned after 1 hour and were ushered in. Annoyingly, I was asked 3 time what my full name was and was addressed by the wrong name even when I was already lying on the treatment bed. On 1 of the occasions, I replied with my first name and was told that it was not sufficient and the masseur insisted on me saying my full name. How rude of them.

When I finally got to my massage, I thought nothing else could go wrong. WRONG. My masseur was falling sleep. I could feel her finger sliding and making sudden and jerking movements while massaging my head. And when I tried to quietly make some noise in the hope of making her more alert, but it didnt work at all.

When leaving, the manager asked for my feedback but she really couldnt care less, so I didnt bother.

    Touche Elite? What a joke.

It was a rainy friday afternoon and I was nearby Clark Quay after a meeting when I passed by Freshness Burger Fast Food Joint. So I've decided to pop in and try this new fast food restaurant.

As i entered the restaurant, a whiff of grilled beef patties hit me and my stomach started to growled uncontrollably. I cannot say its a big joint as i think at one time, the entire place could most likely be able to hold 30~40 consumers. Finding a nice seat is not difficult though made troublesome by space occupying students trying to study in such a noisy environment. Though seating the large glass panels is appealing, i've decided to choose a more comfy seat by the side sofa.

There is many choices of burgers to choose from, as many as 10 varieties of hamburgers, as well as vegetarian burgers... but i ended up choosing a classic beef patty burger. I also ordered some sides such as the french fries and mashed potato as well as a nice pineapple soda...

They do have an island of condiments and sauces in which the variety intrigues me. Theres the standard, mustard, chilli, ketchup as well as the peppers, tobascos and other spice kickers... for you to freely drizzle on your food.

The burger tasted nice, as the tangy sauce fused extremely well with the juicy beef patty and crunchy lettuce. Its a simple burger but I should say the quality is pretty good. I especially have to mention the mashed potato with beef sauce... Its really really yummy.... I'm actually surprised how they could get the sauce to coat every layer of the mashed potato.. Usually the sauce will be drizzled from the top but its not so for this.. As i scoop downwards, there is sauce at every layer.. how amazing.... The pineapple soda was also refreshing and of the right sweetness...

Price wise.. I should say it is slightly higher than are normal fast food pricing, however the quality is good. Oh yar.. my set meal also included a free skewer with 2 balls of Japanese donuts which is quite a delight for me.

Service is pretty zero. No cheerful HIsss or Good Byes.... and usually they are all gathering in the kitchen. I had to stand at the counter for sometime before somebody notices... Perhaps they are all trying to perfect the food... But its great food no doubt...

I would also love to try their waffles breakfast and the other type of burgers.... Will be BACK for more :)

Sports Lovers will know what is trending at NIKE Sports outlet. Always carrying the latest fashionable sport wear and functional sports accessories made from high technology processed materials and state of the art stitching techniques. While I shop at Bugis, I must at least pop by the second level of the shopping mall. Here you can find many sports and casual wear shops as well as watersports shop and skin/body care outlets.

This Nike Store is not really big but the staffs are helpful. Like all Nike stores, it is not cluttered up and there is ample space to browse and not elbow other shoppers. They carry a good range of the newest NIKE products, one section for the shoes and another for tops and bottoms. Though you can never find a really good discount as NIKE items are usually controlled priced, you might get to surprise yourself. I ever bought a really nice washable sports cap, very functional and easy to care for 40% off from the caps shelf....

So, if you are passing by the NIKE Shop in Bugis, just jump in and browse... You never know what surprises you can find... Though they do not have HUGE RELOCATION SALEs signs ON 'ALL THE TIME'.... or even big sale slogans like 50% or 70% off..... - This is totally not NIKE's Style to slash prices... but you will be surprised at some good silent offers....

I was shocked and disappointed. I left the shop feeling cheated...

I participated in the Bausch Lomb HD (Free Trial) for their Dailies HD Lenses via an Ad to their webpage: http://www.bauschandlombdaily.com.sg/
During registration, I was asked to choose a location, in which this Capitol outlet at Anchorpoint is the nearest for the collection of 5 pairs of free HD Dailies Contact Lenses. After registration, I received an sms on my mobile on the location i've chosen and to call to make an appointment before I go.

I called the outlet and appointments can only be made for weekdays as according to the lady, weekends are busy so no appointments on weekends. But i've been to Anchorpoint on weekends... Though there is shoppers, but its hardly crowded and Capitol is almost always not busy. So, i've got no choice but to make an appointment on a working day near to my lunch hour.

I reached the shop slightly later then my appointment time and was told that I've got to do an eye test and health test???? Further conversation lead to if I have a pair of spectacles and I was told how we should wear spectacles more and avoid contact lenses. All the while, the so called optician was not around and I was told she went out awhile. I mean whats the use of having an appointment when the in-house optician is supposedly late. 20 minutes after my appointment time, the optician appeared with a SLOW STROLL and nonchalant look (like she just went window shopping) and I was asked to go into a room behind for eye checking. I asked if i needed to remove my contact lenses and they said no need for that as they can check on top of my lenses. I find that particularly weird as my experience with other optical shop requires me to remove my lenses and allow my eye to rest for at least 10 mins. So, I did an eye test with my contact lenses on and an eye examination with my contact lenses on.

After the examination I was then showed outside and a poster on different eye diseases. I was told I had a mild symptom of some blood vessels around the eye and was told that I should stay off my contact lenses for 2 months. Wear spectacles and then i was then asked if I have spectacles if not i HAVE TO MAKE ONE. After a moment of silent she then carry on to say.. SORRY WE CANNOT GIVE YOU THE CONTACT LENSES. I was embarrassed not because I was not given the lenses but the whole experience is traumatizing.

Here I am taking my lunch time to rush down to the location on a working day and after much waiting, did an inaccurate eye examination WITH MY CONTACT LENSES ON and was told a scary news of a mild case of blood vessels around my eye which I could only further derive from the other pictures and the optician didn't say anything of what might caused it and she only said this ONE THING... THIS IS CAUSED BY YOUR CONTACT LENS WEARING in which I deemed inaccurate because 16 years of contact lens wearing and my eyes have no problems, no feeling of strains or other slight symptoms of discomfort. There was no further elaboration or any kind of report given on my eyesight test whether if my power increased or decreased and all was said was your eyes are not healthy and you need to rest it with spectacles for 2 months, DO YOU HAVE ONE If not YOU HAVE TO MAKE ONE. Well its an eye examination and consultation, then give me advises on what caused it, how to prevent, or if there are any other things that could help. NONE... and she carried on to embarrass me by telling me that we cannot give you the lenses with that (You're so cheap you want free gift and i'm not giving it to you) attitude, on top of my rejection, I felt a slight feeling of being coerced into making a pair of spectacles with them, in which is way TOO EXPENSIVE as compared to the many other optical shops in Queensway Shopping Mall and the shops opposite queensway shopping mall. I've ever made spectacles in queensway shopping mall and the service attitude is great, there are many shops and designs to choose from, price is very economical, quality is good, fast (you can pick up the same day sometimes) and you feel like its money well spent...

So I left the shop, both embarrassed and puzzled... Feeling like i'm a cheap, kaisu Singaporean who needs the free pairs of daily lenses. Its the kind of feeling when you got scammed and the aftermaths of regretting that you made it for the appointment in which I would have conveniently forgot and quit making way to Anchorpoint which is neither near a MRT Station or in Town.

To sum up, the service was bad, attitude is somewhat STUCKUP, hoping to get more spectacle sales then contact lenses... oh yar of course.. you get more profit from spectacle sales...
If you do not honor your word, then why should i trust you in making me a pair of trusty spectacle.

Even if you advise not to wear more spectacles, you could still ask me to come back for a re-examination or even to honor your word and advise me not to wear them till my eyes are rested... NONE OF THESE... JUST IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO MAKE A PAIR OF SPECTACLES please SCOOT OUT OF MY SHOP kinda attitude...

Well, this also affected my impression of Bausch Lomb products, I mean it is your responsibility to work with your dealers to honor the promotions or marketing that you do. I mean if they do not honor them then how do you expect the users to trust your products? If your free gift is subjected to eye health tests and only be given to healthy eye users, then put that in your conditions or make it known to the participants... I'm disappointed...

    What The!!!!!!!

A new CottonOn MEGA Stored opened at the old location of the PAGEONE book store. Though I loved pageone, but I love cotton on even more... Be greated by the beautiful array of fashions must haves littered all over the place. Bright litted up in a cool white hue of fluorescent light, this mega store not only provides the casual everyday fashion knick knacts, they also provide really nice accessories to turn your casual wear to a smart casual one.

Theres this new section that I love called TYPO.... CottonOn also launched a section on stationaries, notebooks and other students must haves... Who says studying cannot be fashionable. With the brightly coloured beautifully wrapped and designed notebooks, who dare says a student is not a fashionista.

I also love the cotton on BODY section. I particularly like the PJs they offer.. mostly thin and silky and priced really reasonably... I mean sometimes i really do find sleeping wear to expensive... You know sometimes i rather sleep with my $50 bill buttnaked... then wearing that tiny PJ that cost me a BOMB!!! The soft and fluffy HOOD PLUSH GOWNS with pastel colours are really a hit for me. I love them as they make excellent after shower wear and after you emerge from the swimming pool wear.... They are soft, water absorbing and easy to handle.

You can also find economical and well designed sports wear, yoga wear or stretchy pants here. Be sure the price is reasonable but you could also view the sales items. I personally find the sales very attractive on top of that, they look good feel good, though not the upmarket fashion products, they are good for everyday wear and if you happen to tear them, you won't feel your heart ripped apart.. Thats for sure.... So if you happen to rip some of your clothes intentionally or unintentionally, that just gives you more reason to shop and buy somemore :)

Be sure to head down to this MEGA Store and I'm sure there is something for everyone and most importantly, its super economical and value for money :)
