This is possibly one of the best places for traditional Teochew and Shanghainese food in Singapore. I would personally rate it better than the Crystal Jade outlet in Ngee Ann City. Perhaps the most impressive thing is that the hand-made noodles are served in double-boiled chicken soup, not just the water it was cooked in. The stir-fried eel strips are also very well done. I almost forgot about the eel because the noodles were that good. The second visit to this restaurant was less impressive. The texture of the Shanghainese fried noodles was exquisite, but the dish ended up a little wet, most probably because too many vegetables were added a little too late, and the moisture from the vegatables made the sauce a little too watery.
