Been there almost 10 times already, each time I just feel like going back! However, i would say the standard of the food has dropped compared to when it just started. The service remained pretty good though.
I had my dinner there yesterday about 630pm, because I had a sudden craving for low price American food. Even though is was dinner time, the crowd seemed lesser than usual. I'm sure the number of people will be double on weekends.
Cajun Chicken Meal ($7.5) - Even though I've been to Botak Jones countless times, this is the 1st time i ordered Cajun Chicken for myself (previously tasted from other people who oredered). I also asked for extra fries, at no extra cost. The chicken tasted alright, would not say fantastic. The melted cheese on top of the chicken is good. The chicken did not turn out as dry as I expected though. Love the coleslaw. Definitely one of the best I have eaten. The fries was okay only because it was not hot. I presumed it was left there while the chicken was being cooked because it took very long to come.
Botak Burger w/o Cheese ($5.5) - My all time favourite, also clearly the reason why I kept returning to Botak Jones. My girlfriend wanted to order this which was why i did not order it and ate the Cajun Chicken instead. The beef patty is very nice. Succulent and juicy. The buttered bread went very well with it. Full of veggies as usual, gave the burger an added crunch.
All in all, the Botak Burger is still a must try. Also, i asked for additional fries for my Cajun Chicken Set so that I need not order a set for my girlfriend's Botak burger. Great for people who does not have big appetite and also to save some money. I believe I will return there, mainly for the Botak Burger.

I brought my girlfriend here for our post-valentine's day dinner. The restaurant was located at the basement of Paradiz Centre, which we had trouble finding.
Entering the restaurant, all the staff greeted us in unison, just like when you enter Sakae Sushi. The restaurant was rather packed as it was a Saturday evening. Once we got our seats, we were served tea which tasted rather refreshing. Follwing that, we were given the menu and the staff subsequently recommended some dishes for each of the courses.
Starters: Mushroom & Cheese Gratin with free-flow of Toasted Bread
The dish was rather watery for my girlfriend's liking. She mentioned that it tasted more like Campbell's soup with cheese than gratin. We liked the bread though. Overall, it was Ok for me. It is a fixed item on the menu
Salad : Farm Boy Splendour & Fruit Salad
The Farm Boy Splendour was quite tasty and appetizing. The chicken slices was what made the salad taste good. The fruit salad was refreshing and unique. Tasted good too.
Strawberry Sorbet
Did not tasted really like sorbet. More like shaven ice and syrup presented in a short glass. It is a fixed item on the menu.
Grilled Mushrooms
Small portion of mushroom slices but doesn't taste like it was grilled. More like stir fried in my opinion. Tasted ok, nothing special. It is a fixed item in the menu.
Soup: Cream of Pumpkin & Shark fin Melon Herbal Soup
The Cream of Pumpkin was nice. Very smooth with slight sweetness. Would have tasted great with the toasted bread as well. For the Shark Fin Melon soup, it was pleasant and light. Lots of melon that were cut in shapes of shark's fin. Did not really managed to find any shark fin.
Beverage: Apple and Rose Ice Tea & Peach Summer Ice Tea
The Apple Rose tea was pretty good. Subtle taste of the Rose which went well with the taste of apple. The Peach Summer tea was good. Tasted like cammomile tea with honey and a twist of peach. Very very nice. Both tea came with mini forks for you to eat the fruit chunks that was inside the tea pot.
Main Entree: Lamb Cutlet & Baked Flounder with Cheese
The Lamb culet came well done. I think the staff should have asked how I wanted it done. Lucky thing the meat wasn't too tough. Also the meat was very lean, would have tasted better with some fats. It came with a mint sauce that was too gooey and sweet. Portion was adequate. The flounder (a type of fish) with cheese was so-so only. Very strong taste of egg that was cooked over the fish. Not sure if there was egg used though. A cream sauce would have tasted better with it. Both dishes came with a tiny scoop of mashed sweet potato and 1 brocolli stalk. We liked the side dishes.
Dessert: Yangsheng Poached Pear & Black Sesame Pudding
The pear was a disappointment. Not sweet enough and not very nice. Not much flavour, quite dull in taste. No wonder the staff did not recommend it. They recommended Creme Brulee instead. The pudding was much better. Not too sweet and the sesame taste was just nice.
Overall, the food was only average. Kudos to the staffs that were friendly and made efforts to chat with us and made sure the food was okay. Waiting time in between courses was very short despite the restaurant being very busy. The ambience was more for family and friends and not really suitable for a romantic date. The place was rather noisy, which was not the restaurant's fault. There was probably more friends and family dining there instead of couples. Prices was ok, dinner for 2 added up to about $67 nett without any credit card discount.
