I just returned from a massage session at Estheva Spa at Raffles Hotel Arcade. It was a less than stellar experience, considering the prices that they charge. And I have been to many spas.
First of all, it was not explained to me clearly that they charge 50% of the entire bill when you make the booking (this is extremely poor form in my opinion, and this policy is NOT listed on their website), so that already annoyed me. Secondly, as I was changing, my therapist knocked and asked if I was ready, to which I replied "No, I need a few more minutes". She then tried to open the door and I had to hold it shut. Seriously, which part of "I need a few more minutes" did she not understand? Thirdly, I understand that oils are used during the massage, but I usually get offered the use of a shower to wash the stuff off after. This was not the case here. My clothes now have oil on them.
