This outlet is located at the narrow walkway of Clementi Mall. Already a pretty erratically spaced shopping mall with walkways in the most funny locations and assess to the large basement via a single escalator with no other escape routes except the very limited lifts and escape staircases which are pretty much difficult to find.
Love this outlet because the entrance is somewhat outside the mall facing the open sitting area. You could see if there are any available sittings at one glance and in a small space such as this, sittings were properly spaced though tight yet good space for chit chatting customers.
The counter is near the entrance as such you could order before proceeding inside to sit. The menu is rather similar to other outlets, toast is usually good and service fast, however the staff at the outlet are more jovial yet talk a little too much. Clearing of tables are also not as efficient and tables remains sticky for a longer than usual period. I really hate it when the area that i sit, the floor or table is sticky. Otherwise this is a great outlet. If you would like more choices also bread, breadtalk is just next door and you could pop over to get more yummy breads :)
Location: 4/5 (Near to MRT yet convenient)
Service: 2.5/5 (Though counter is quick but seats, floor and tables are sticky)
Price: 3/5
Food quality: 3.5/5
Handicapped Friendly: 2/5 (Though easily accessible with no steps or hurdles, the shop is too small to allow a wheelchair to come through!)
I was tempted not to review on this clinic as I was still in the state of shock after I came out of the clinic. It was somewhat dilapidated, i mean you could deem it nostalgia but in another words... It is rather old and broken. The counter was one cladded in formerly white but now yellowish brown plastic laminates and you could see really old school medicine cabinate around. It is non-aircon with a few plastic seats and I couldn't imagine such a clinic could still survive. No antiseptic smell like we always expect in a medical facility and I could see flies around.
The counter lady was in her twenties in t-shirt and shorts with I should say not much of manners, not to mention service. Simply hurling people around though not loud and rough but we could feel the annoyance in her voice. The other lady was slightly nicer, though warning me of 8 person before me. I looked around and only saw one guy sitted by the out of place chair waiting and wondered where is the other 7? I kindly asked if they could call when my turn was next as I would be nearby. "SORRY NO CALLING" is what I get being rebutted by the lady behind the counter as though what I asked was "OUT OF THE WORLD".
So starring at the two charging mobile phones on the table.. I quietly sat down, wondering why I didn't cross over to the other clinic opposite which looked like a better place. Well! lets wait out and see... Shortly after the guy went in to see the doctor I was called to be next. The doctor's office was grim... The bed which patients lay on for examination was still the wooden kind with soggy cushions. The doctor was nice though. Did a thorough check and gave me ample advices. Caring and soft spoken, as compared to his cocky counter girls.
I emerged from his office and waited for collection. My name was called and i was hurled at again with medications and instruction spoken so fast " I DON"T KNOW WHAT THE HELL SHE IS SAYING". So before i could ask, i was asked to pay... so the stuffs were quickly packed and I was about to go before i noticed... No receipt... So while I ask for a receipt... the lady just gave me an annoyed look. Hurled at me "PLEASE TAKE A SEAT, GIVE IT TO YOU LATER!" while waving me away with her non-chalent hand as though she doesn't speak to peasants. I felt I just paid to be humiliated by a t-shirt unprofessional girl who does admin at a dilapidated clinic and mind you.. the consultation and medication is not cheap.
So i waited again.... for about 5 mins before my receipt was ready... and walked out vowing never to return.... and if i can help it... never to get sick.....
Location: 1.5/5

Will i Come Back: Please KILL ME if I come again

This is my first visit to this community centre, mainly to watch the children's Akido grading and I'm surprise this community centre atop a hill has got so many activity space to offer.
We parked at the HDB carpark as such we had to trek up a trail across a small park. While we pace through the windy roads, we came across a pretty huge basketball court which is somewhat at a lower part of the hill and another space which is locked up with a gate that seemed to house some equipments for extreme sport.
Lots of sitting and lazing areas for youth as well as a small cafe that serves the nicest snacks such as chicken nuggets, freezy drinks and plenty of other young people snacks. The hall which is good for 2 badminton courts with a stage is now decked in hard sponge and loads of children rolling and practicing their akido moves to get their proposed grades. The place is well ventilated with a large entrance however the sound system is lacking as we felt difficult in making out what the examiner was saying.
The toilet was too tiny with only 2 cubicles. Clean but have space for improvements.
Location: 3/5 (Not really easy to find)
Convenience: 3.5/5 (Near to Kovan MRT and lots of buses goes to the interchange)
Cleanliness: 3/5
Facilities: 4/5
Handicap Friendliness: 2/5
Will I hang around here: Nah, except for dedicated programs
Will I introduce my friends: Yes, if they stay around Kovan...
Lavender Food Centre is one of the most well loved place Singaporean like go for really yummy local fair. Though the nearest MRT which is lavender MRT is about a ten minutes walk away, a few buses towards city pass by here. It is pretty near to the city (Bugis) however not of walking distance.
They serve up a good choice of yummy chinese food, in the morning, I would always love to have the pig trottle minced meat noodle from Kim's, a poh piah from another stall and some Dim Sum like dumplings, braised meats and yam cake (most delicious of them all).
In the afternoon and evenings, you must try the prawn noodle served in claypots. One of the most delicious prawn noodle I ever had and not forgetting the famous frog leg porridge which is smooth, savoury and herbalicious.
There are much to choose from, the seats and plentiful and parking as well is easy. Though the prices are slightly above average, I find it reasonable for the quality and portion. A must go for me, at least twice a month.

I visit at least twice a month with friends and my loved ones.
Indeed one of the most chocolaty place i've ever been. Everything served here is dosed with a thick gooey chocolate. So unless you love chocolate, otherwise this is not a good place to hang.
It caught my eye because of the right out of nowhere seats. Visualize with me, a fenced area cordoned off in the middle of the walkway with tables and chairs and the diners are comfortably enjoying the potent aromatic cuppa hot chocolate which filled the air with the same tantalizing cocoa butter.
The menu was chaotic, I must say as I am not much a menu reader, the pictures as confusing as the background images as such I just picked whatever I saw first. We actually wanted a fondue with sponge cakes, fruits, marshmallows which many friends deemed it as a must have, but our tummys have no space as such we only ordered ourselves some of their winning chocolate drinks.
The hot chocolate was fabulous, smooth and bitter sweet, of the right combination of milk and good quality chocolate. Tasted balance and not creamy, the way I liked it. We also ordered a orea chocolate shake which is quite a bad order though it came in a fancy cup with a metal straw. We doubted hygiene issues of the straw however the drink tasted pretty nice with crushed bits of cookies. I find it rather too sweet and the cookie taste overpowered the chocolate. So the verdict... Great chocolate and should always be served au lait otherwise dark solo. Anything else just spoils the fine cocoa.
Location: 4/5 (Easy to locate)
Service: 4/5 (Pretty quick to react and we felt served)
Comfort; 3.5/5 (Seats were pretty close to each other and not really comfy and I kinda find it weird to sit in the middle of the walkway)
Food: 4.5/5 (Great chocolate served)
Price: 3/5 (A little bit too pricey)
Would love to come back and will bring friends. This time for the fondue!
