House of Chin is infamous for their good and reliable supply of live chinchillas. Like its name, house of chinchilla specializes in mostly Chinchillas however they also do provide other small live pets such as guinea pigs, pretty rabbits and everybody's first pet, the hamsters.

Chinchilla are very special animals yet the cuteness and interactiveness is beyond that of a small pet. They sleep during the day and must be kept in a cool environment, as in approx 25 degrees and will get a heat stroke if it gets too warm, as I'm being told by the friendly staff there. They are fun and will come to play with you when they awaken in the night. They are like a racoon and a cat and loves to climb. It sleeps like a teddy bear and is cuddily. The inside of the humble looking shop is full air-conditioned yet its not stinky. There are a few cute looking chins sleeping at the corner of their cages and its surprising clean. Goods and stuffs are properly stacked and the little cute animals looked so happy.

Though you can only look at the animals, carrying and touching is not allowed to preserve the integrity of the animals as they say. I personally feel that theres somehow an obstacle for bonding if I cannot touch the pets. Yet I must warn you, the prices for the chins, guinea pigs and rabbits are pretty steep here. But I'm sure the quality and breed is pedigree. I'm looking for something average and emotional for a pet thus I left without buying anything. It no doubt a good shop with a good variety of pedigrees.

Its located at a pretty off the road location though its right next to the road, its the service road leading towards the carpark of plaza singapura and I've always passed by Charly Ts, yet have not had the change to pop in.

So we went in for a drink one friday evening. The place is nice and cosy with booth sits and large glass windows allowing the headlights of onward moving cars to spill into the cafe. Its cosy and great for chit-chat drinks. The ceilings are high and it kinda contained the noise well and the groovy background music soothes our busy minds. Read the menu from the board above the cashier, you will notice some words that is hard to pronounce and then you realise.. Its GERMAN... Dinner menu is interesting with a good selection of mains such as different types of chicken (aka Kampong), burgers and steaks, however I find the desserts most interesting.

Besides the yummy looking cakes in the cake display, you can also choose the handmade ice cream which comes in only 2 flavors. Vanilla and Cookies and cream. We ordered an ice-cream on waffle and the waffle is hard though crispy and the ice-cream balanced, creamy and smooth. The combination goes well as the hard waffle will not grow too soggy after the ice-cream melted.

We also ordered a super yummy german pancakes (KAISERSCHMARRN) with ice cream. This is the best ever such dessert i've ever eaten.. the pancakes buttery soft and spongy with a generous dose of berries and it goes perfectly well with the vanilla ice-cream. Pictures speaks better than words so please do have your own verdict with the pictures.

Selection of beverages are not so good though we managed to get a bottle of sparkling white wine which is not value for money. The ambience is great and service attentive and helpful. Its a great experience.

      Price: 4/5 (Slightly Pricey),
Location: 3.5/5 (Its actually pretty convenient),
Food: 3.5/5 (Varieties good and dessert yummy),
      Service: 4/5 (Helpful and Friendly),
Handicapped Friendly: 4.5/5 (Groundfloor location, well spaced walkway, Handicapped friendly toilet in store)

Will I come again: OF COURSE YES

Will I bring my friends: FOR SURE :)

Its not easy to find a pets supply store in the fashion bustling orchard road and here at the basement of centrepoint, your help is not far. This outlet of Pets Lovers Centre has been around for many years and has faithfully been my pet's supply store for food, yummy snacks, toiletries and every other day sundries.

Prices are a little on the high side however if you have the membership its a 10% off. I love the fact that they provide free delivery with purchase of $80 and above, that means I need not hull home a huge bag of 10Kg pet food all over orchard road.

Service is great, the staff knows their products well, friendly and efficient in providing you with service and payment. I ever consulted them about some issues of my pet and they could advise me appropriately. The selection of merchandises are great as well with a good selection of brands and package sizes neatly stacked in rows and rows of shelves.

They also retail small live pets such as hamsters, rabbits and guinea pigs so if you would like to start your children off with a small pet that could comfortably seat on the palm of their hands, this is the place to go. I can spend hours watching the cute hamsters cuddling up asleep at the corner of their tank.

I was there to collect a free set of headphones that came with the purchase of my handset. The location is not easy to find for non Bishan Mall frequentners and I was a little bit lost. There was only an address and no map on the collection slip and I had to ask around a little bit more than usual to find the shop.

Its a corner shop at level 2 with a few staffs and a collection table supposedly. There was no signs nor any indication and I actually queue up at the counter just to be told that the collection is through the counter at the other corner, thats (Boo Boo #1)! The slip was then collected and we were asked to fill up a form in which one of the staff went in to collect the goods. We waited about 10 mins and its still not our turn. (Boo Boo #2)

I finally collected the item and the entire process cost me 40 mins with only 5 person in front of me. Its simply too inefficient and I will not comment any further.

I was here for breakfast and the service was appalingly sluggish... I was a big fan of Kentucky Fried Chicken, however the portions of the chicken, sides and services has shrunk through the years. Whats left is just mild flavoured saltiness in tiny chicken portions.

The selection on the menu has somewhat remained pretty standard and the only additions are the porridge and pancakes for breakfast and the rice meals which is not as tasty as it looks. Somehow, I still prefer the familiar taste of their deep fried chicken. There are better tasting and competitively priced fried chicken out there. The escalating prices of the set meals and shrinking portions is not encouraging me to go back to KFC, except for that occasional invitation by some friends who seemingly could have already lost their taste buds amidst a 5 meal fast food regime.

However, one special offer appeals to me... That is the $2.95 breakfast that consists of a pathetic portion of overcooked scrambled eggs, dried and chompy, 2 slices of blueberry pancake (Pipping hot, soft and I simply cannot resist pancakes) and a triangular thick slab of hash brown (Which is surprisingly yummy). Crispy on the outside juicy on the inside and is not too salty or oily. Add $1 for a regular hot coffee or tea which is merely meeting the regular mark.

Despite this, I still would like to retain this childhood joint of ours. Help us Help you! Provide better food and services so that we can give you business! You happy, I happy, everybody happy!
