Frankly I was more attracted by the neon blue Eiffel tower then the snaking queue every time i ride up the escalator and to my surprise there is no snaking queue on a wednesday late afternoon.. Before I could change my mind, I've walked up to the counter, totally mesmerized by the various beautifully dressed cakes and cold sandwiches available.

Yes! The aroma of freshly baked pastry is simply too alluring and I can't help but wanna try everything that is on the counter! The various flavours both savoury and sweet are alluring and appetizing. Its more of self-serve kinda service here, you queue up, order as you queue and pay at the counter. The drinks will come later and if you order anything else on the menu that too will be served later. However I'm so thrilled with the interesting flavour in pastry cabinet, I can't help but ordered quite a few of their creations, before I know it, I've already taken on too much.

I took a power garlic baguette which is a yummy crispy baguette, soft on the inside and loads of POWER GARLIC! Expect a stinky breath but this garlic bread is one of the best i've tasted! The skin is crispy yet soft on the inside, easy to eat and the size of the baguette is just right for the mouth (No Mess) when sliced.

Got myself a sweet bacon roll which is a savoury bacon with egg filling . This is quite a mouthful and extremely delectable. A cheese bread which I couldn't recall what it is called is a hard crispy bread with chunks of cheese everywhere. A cuppa today's brew and a cuppa earl grey's tea.

High tea was yummy and the seats are extremely cushie. Comfortable and though the seats are placed pretty near to each other, there still seemed to have ample space for legs and shopping bags. The cafe is pretty clean and staffs are quick to serve. I enjoyed myself and will return again to try the other flavours.

I believe when we meet something really nice or had some food that is really good and you can't help thinking about it, its always good to pen it down and in this case review it here so that as their business gets better, they get to be around longer. This is one of such really good eats and I mean almost everything they offer on their menu is delicious.

Sometimes his father, sometimes the boy himself and other a pretty looking lady like his sister is manning the stall and they are all efficient and food taste superbly delicious.

My first love will be the GADO GADO which is a mix of long bean and other vegetables with rice cubes, potato chunks and a good mix of peanut sauce topped with crackers. I find the greens crunchy and refreshing and the peanut sauce balanced that leaves a good aftertaste.

What is most important with the Mee Soto will be the soup base and this is a savoury fragrant chickeny one. The noodles is blanched just right and chewy. I found good chunks of chicken thigh meat which is especially tender and the portion was just right, though I would love more of that yummy broth.

Mee Rebus is a noodle dish with a thick savoury sauce, some hard boiled egg and bean sprouts. To make this dish well is not simple yet they do it so well. The sauce is super yummy and not too spicy.

Other deep fried snacks are delicious and surprisingly not too oily. They are good even when kept till it became cold. The batter is light, fluffy and I must say rather tasty.

The price is super reasonable and they serve up a good portion. Usually there will be a pretty long queue, however though its long, it only took a short while before its my turn and I credit that to fast hands and feet.

I enjoy popping by this food centre whenever I am in the vicinity and I find that it can get really warm in the afternoon. But at dinner hours most of the stall are closed, so my advise is still to go for the lunch time slot.

It is rather crowded and warm during lunch time, less the occasional breeze and expect to smell like food, oil and fumes of all kinds of burning things and somehow I find it worse then Tappenyaki but it is still all worth it.

The range of localised foreign and local food stalls there are really good. Some of my favorites will be the lor mee (braised pork noodles) from the further end stall facing the road, the tomyum noodles from the same stall, indian rojak. i think theres only one stall there, it might help to look out fro the chicken rice stall behind it. Opposite the Chicken rice stall a malay stall which sells really nice Mee Soto, Mee Rebus, Gado Gado, Tahu Goreng and Deep Fried snacks like potato patties, fried banana and samosas.

The first stretch of malay stalls facing the road is usually the most crowded and theres this stall that sells chicken rice, deep fried original flavor or with blackpepper sauce, sweet and sour or lemon sauce... Frankly, any sauce is good even no sauce is good, the chicken crispy, rice is yummy and chilli is the chinese chicken rice kinda light orangie chilli which is so SADAP........ Also try thaksin's beef noodles, which serves up a good portion and is extremely savoury.

The location of this hawker centre is pretty good, parking easy and even if you travel by public transport its so easy to go to. Pricing is super reasonable and portion is usually good. (Eg. Mee Soto is like $3) Except that the tables don't get cleaned very promptly and the table cloth they clean with are soiled with the leftovers of the thousands of tables they have cleaned before. So do bring along wet tissues and plenty of dry ones, clean up before you leave and watch the birds. Yes, there are plenty of crows and birds picking up food.

2 things I LIKE about this hawker is the wash hand basins conveniently located at easy to reach spots and the outdoor smoking sits that i'm sure the smokers get a good tan while they are at it.

So my ratings are as such.

This outlet is exactly situated at the corner of the food court near the day entrance of the Singapore Zoo... The standard many flavours to choose from, the popping bright colours are more than enough to lure any sweating kids for a sweet tooth quick fix.

Their colourful posters and stickers everywhere with black and white cow spots are the main attraction for the children and me as well. The price is about the same as every outlet and the flavors available are not too many yet if you want the waffle bowl, that is available.

We managed to get our ice-cream pretty fast and they do have ample spoons for sharing, however serviettes are a little too few for drooling pre-schoolers. The choice of flavours are also kiddish... with bubble gummy to chocolate fudge... none alcohol added or not appealing to these tooth decaying children.

Service is with a smile and we get to test the flavors first before we buy. Judging by the kid's reaction in which 4 of us get to try many flavors before deciding and the staff still maintained a good smile and no hesitation for trying out. We only decided to buy a flower bowl with 3 scoops not forgetting the beautiful toppings and the service remains good...

The place is pretty clean and the seating area has strong air conditioning and ample seats.. great for a good warm sunny day.

If you have ever been here... its a pretty nice CC right in the midst of the taman jurong shopping centre, food centre and everything that is happening in Taman Jurong.

A pretty tall commercial building with large concourse, a decent basketball court and one that look like a skating park with a oh so cool graffiti wall. The club is exciting with many activities going on everyday. Always when I pass by no matter if its day or night, there will be elderly engaged in taiji or kids basketballing otherwise some kungfu or silat class at the courts. On weekends, there are collection for recycling, newspaper, plastic bottles, etc. Opposite the CC at the HDBs, there is also a weekend small scale flea which made the neighbourhood exciting and fun filled.

The building is kept pretty clean and the facilities are maintained in pretty good shape. Toilets are clean though they still smell abit and lifts and stairways are litter free. The staffs are particularly helpful and gentle, perhaps its the more elderly neighbourhoods that made them this way, or perhaps they are just nice.

Now they even have a museum at the courtyard which i have yet to visit.
