Was here for a quick bite. Service was fast and tables were pretty clean however clearing took some time. Understandable as its pretty busy on weekends. Open space seating with plenty of stools and few cushioned seats. Overall quite comfy and selection of food though limited have all we need for a local tea break. Teh si, Kopi o and kaya roti with half boiled egg is well made. Great place to hang with friends.
Was there for breakfast and totally fell in love dining next to the cascading waterfall. Breakfast set I ordered was very interesting and yummy while the dessert was super duper delicious.
Love the stand alone building and outdoor seats at the deck next to the water fall, though it does get a little difficult to hear yr friend talking amidst the vehicles stopping at the driveway, the high ceilings and open spaces.
First to greet me as I enter the restaurant is the cake counter and the selections at the counter was superb with many interesting choices of cakes and pastries. While the menu was packed with a good choice of mains, all day breakfasts, snacks, desserts and even sets for children.
We ordered something interesting called the \"eggs, beans and sausage\" which came with some crispy pita biscuits that we ate with the eggs and bean, something like nachos and cheese while the sausage was juicy and chewy. The set came with a small glass of orange juice and we added a dollar for freshly brewed coffee which was pretty nice.
The chicken and mushroom ratatoni is a cream based pasta baked with a generous cheese top. Pretty well made, tasty and generous with the toppings however then entire taste was pretty flat. Cream was a little blend and watery but overall was pretty okay.
The date cake pretty much made our day. Topped with a ball of vanilla ice cream drizzled with loads of caramel atop a thick slice of date cake. The cake kinda reminded me of the Chinese huat kway because if it\'s slight heavy and starchy texture yet it tested much more aromatic and we could spot fibres of dates within the cake. It\'s very special and yummy.
The experience was good and I\'m sure to come back to try the other stuffs on the menu ;)
I'm Sorry... but I was really disappointed with the food... I was there to collect my passport and thought of a quick bite.. and when I spotted Wendy's across the street I was very happy.
The Restaurant was a good size with plenty of seats, we chose a couch seat that appeared to be a little too sticky later. I mean overnight soft drink stain patches as well as tables with small patches of stains... Well, we could forgive that since its Monday and everybody is entitled to be have a little monday blues.
We spotted a decent looking breakfast menu and ordered one big breakfast alike menu in which the scrambled eggs are too hard and too little, while the hashbrowns too oily and cold and well, the kaya toast was dry, skimpy and tasted like stale bread and I must emphasize, nothing resembling the images on the poster
Coffee was okay for a fast food restaurant and well ice-milo is ice milo...
I was disappointed and wondered if this is the kind of served at every restaurant or only at the outlet. Well, its a hotel nearby and traffic is pretty busy at this location, I hope their service and food improve...
It was an evening on the weekend and as usual, VivoCity is crowded with people and dining joints were seen long snaking queues of hungry patrons, so we figured the best place to go would be to the basement as there were many newly opened restaurants there.
Though there are still queues outside the restaurants and cafe but we manage to get inside to order in just 5 mins of wait. Out of the many restaurants we decided to have some IPOH kampong chicken and so we did.
We looked through the battled menu with a large patch of sugar stain at the corner and decided on a few famous dishes from IPOH while we reminisce our last trip and all the yummy food we had when we were there. So we paid at the counter and the dishes arrived in approx 10 mins.
1) White Steamed Kampong Chicken ($19.90)- Was fresh, juicy and yummy, the skin was smooth and had a chewy texture yet not hard. Tasted extra yummy even without the dark sauce and ginger which i always love to add.
2) Bean Sprouts ($3.50) - Love the light chicken oiled soya sauce that went with these crunchy x-tra large sized sprouts. It was cooked just right but some may find it too raw, yet i love it crunchy like that. It was very good
3) Chicken Rice ($1.20) - Not too oily, yet flavourful, rice was loose and yummy
4) Ipoh Coffee ($1.60) - Nothing much to rave about yet its a tad too sweet
Entire meal was delicious and portion was good.
Location: 4.5/5 (Near to Harbourfront MRT),
Food: 4/5 (Yummy),
Price: 4/5 (Well Priced, a little more expensive then hawker but has aircon and minor service),
Service: 3/5 (almost none, but we didn't pay for any),
Variety: 2.5/5 (Nothing much except IPOH staple food, but its good enough)
Love the pretty blink blink accessories and the hand made little trinkets that made great gifts for my loved ones this christmas. Well, everybody needs a small blink somehow another and you can simply get them from here.
Talked to the friendly booth owners which is a jolly bunch of helpful ladies with a great smile constantly plastered on their faces, who loved to travel, shop and bring back to sell. I mean how meaningful can travelling be when you get to earn some travel money back afterwards.
Most of their items displayed are specially curated by these tasteful ladies with a bling bling crystal studded theme. There are keychains with beautifully studded jewels and many more interesting accessories...
