Haven't tried Pepper Lunch? Then you should drop by one of their outlets today!

Pepper Lunch originates from Japan, and it's a fastfood steakhouse that offers really good dishes. Service was prompt and friendly as well.

My friend insisted that I should try it out, and brought me there last week. We went to the branch at the new Ang Mo Kio Hub, and I had their Combo Series: Cut Steak & Chicken. The steak and chicken were great! Tender and tasty. :)

I had a different experience cooking the meat on the hotplate though! Haha..a note for those who haven't been there, do bring someone who is more 'experienced', cos..the hotplate tends to sizzle for a while and 'dies off'. So u have to cook fast!

Quite a healthy spread in my opinion. Oh, and many friends have told me that their "Shake! Shake! Salad!" is a must-try. Maybe you can drop by Pepper Lunch one day and give it a try! :)

Wondering where you can go for an exotic meal of a different culture and wonderful ambience? Then visit Cafe Iguana today! I first tried Mexican food at Cafe Iguana during a class gathering and it was great! It really made me want to return there for more.

The ambience was cosy and quite romantic, facing the river at Clarke Quay and the feel within the restaurant/bar was comfortable and relaxing too.

In addition to the great ambience, was the great food.

The grilled chicken fajitas I had were good~ Though I was a little clumsy in wrapping them up (like chinese popiahs) and eating them with my hands, they still tasted great. =)

Though they were well-known for their exotic tequila drinks, we had their house pour lime margaritas and it was quite good. Service was quite prompt with the friendly staff as well.

Kids meals are also offered at Cafe Iguana! So whether it's with your amigos or with your family, don't hesitate to try Cafe Iguana if you are seeking out a new alternative for dining!

Contary to what some comments raised by the public, i think the Quit Smoking campaign will probably make some difference to people, especially to teenagers.

Yes, though the advertisements are disgusting and unbearable to sight, it's actually some facts that could happen if you smoke. It may not scare smokers out of their habits, but it does bring some reflections to some others who are more conscious about their health. And for non smokers and teenagers, it may have caused some of them to actually stop and think, and reflect before succumbing to temptations.

In my case, seeing the advertisements actually made me stop and think, "hey..i wouldn't want to look like that, and neither would i want my body to be as ugly as that".

Smoking is a habit that is difficult to quit for smokers, and..if having this campaign makes people aware and disgusted, it is actually considered a minor success isn't it? The ads may not stop smokers from breaking out of their habits, but..it may saved some people from picking up the habit.

Taiwan Shihlin Snacks offers a range of snacks like their XXL Crispy Chicken, Crispy Floss Egg Crepe and Handmade Oyster Mee Sua which are popular snacks sold on the streets of Taiwan.

Hmm..for my part, I found the snacks a little too 'strong-flavoured'. The XXL Crispy Chicken was probably a little too oily, but the portion is definitely XXL and worth every cent that you paid. And as for the Oyster Mee Sua, similarly..it was too strong-flavoured as well at the beginning. However, I must say that it's not bad once you eat a few mouthfulls of it, and the oysters were really big~

Yeah, but I do agree that it's a pity that the seats available at the various outlets are really kind of pathetic. It usually seats around 3 to 4 people max, and it's really not a comfortable place to enjoy your food/snack.

Yet..that's what Taiwan Shihlin Snacks is all about. Eating along the streets, like the locals do in Taiwan! I guess we just have to do it our way. "Ta-bao" and enjoy it in the comforts of our homes.. =P

By the way, it's located at Marina Square, Suntec City, Bishan Junction 8, Hougang Mall, Tiong Bahru Plaza, Harbourfront Centre, Century Square and IMM as well. =)

Haven't tried the fascinating blend of peanut butter with condensed milk on thick toast? Haven't imagined dough fritters in black pepper sauce? Curious about what cappuccino with Coke would taste like?

Then drop by Tong Shui Cafe today!

With striking colours of pink and lime green on its walls, it's hard to miss this cosy dining area. Decorated with traditional ornaments and chinese vases, the place shows a quirky fusion of fun and traditional styles, to which I would say that they blended really well!

With an amazing menu of over 300 items to choose from, it's bound to make you mind boggled and spolit for choice over its interesting range of dishes and beverages offered. While some of the names of dishes really looked too 'unique' for consumption, it's definitely worth it if u dare take up the challenge.

We tried the dough fritters in black pepper sauce and..while it tasted weird at first, the weirdness soon evaporated, leaving tinges of satisfaction. The cheese baked rice I had was good! Unlike some restaurants that served you burnt and overcooked rice dishes, the baked rice was done quite perfectly.

Oh and the peanut butter & condensed milk on thick toast? Heavenly. A must-try! =)

Miss Clarity Cafe.."where happy people meet".

Stepping into the cafe, what meets your eyes are colourful walls and characters (in the day) and still colours, yet with a tinge of ambience with candles on every tables at night.

With it's bubbly characters and happy themed interior decor, Miss Clarity Cafe definitely lives up to the image that it aims to portray. =)

There is quite a wide range of courses to choose from it's perky and colourful menu. Range of dishes are deliciously ranged from Bacon Aglio Olio to Slipper Lobster pasta. Furthermore, its pricings are reasonable. Together with good service attitutes, what more can u ask for?

It's definitely a cosy place for a get together with your girl-friends, a place for couples to dine at night with the nice ambience, or just a relaxing dinner with your group of buddies.

Just a note: the queues do get a little long during the night. Be prepared to wait if u want to get in this fun and colourful world of Miss Clarity Cafe! =)

    [edited - 19th August]

Went to eat at Miss Clarity Cafe again yesterday, and..really, it's getting increasingly difficult to get a place there for dinner.

When we reached the cafe at 6pm yesterday, the whole place looked empty. Yet, we were told by the waiter that those tables were booked! That's like.. 3/4 of the cafe booked! Wow. People have resorted to reserving seats now, instead of queuing up outside the cafe. Hmm.

However, he added that we could have a table if we were able to leave by 7pm. So yup, we agreed and had a quick dinner there.

My friend and I shared one of their main courses, "Old Macdonalds Had A Farm", which included lamb chop, chicken chop, steak, pork chop, bacon slice, ham, sausage and potato wedges. Well..I do agree that the whole farm seemed to have been included in the dish. Yet..the meat served were not up to standard.

The steak was a little too raw for me, and the rest of the meat were really tough, except for the chicken chop. And frankly speaking, though the waitress claimed that the dish would feed two people, I think she missed out the fact that it wouldn't feed two HUNGRY people.

Thank goodness I wasn't very hungry then. Or else..

Anyway, my other two friends had their main courses: "Fish Cordon Bleu" and "Garlic Crusted Dory", and according to them, it was not bad. Ah..I still preferred the "Chicken Cordon Bleu" that I had the previous time. Hmm.

Anyhow, I still think that it's a cosy and nice place for a get-together at Miss Clarity Cafe. The staff were friendly and polite too. Just that..for now, you'll probably have to get smart, be quick and make reservations early or something, if you want to get a place there for dinner.

If not...either you'll be left standing/queuing outside, or left with the choice of re-selecting your dining place for the night.

So remember: Get smart, plan and be quick! :)

When they advertised VivoCity as the largest mall in Singapore, they really meant it. Yet..somehow, the lack in signs made the walk around the mall confusing. I sort of ended up in circles, and wondering if i've been pass these shops previously.

However, the range of shops were really great. Shops ranging from the high ends to the very basic and common shops can all be found there, suiting every needs that one could have.

Restaurant choices was one of the factors that attracted me. VivoCity had a range of food and restaurants that were slightly different from the normal restaurants that we are accustomed with.

Oh! Do visit Build-A-Bear Workshop while u are there. It's a really adorable concept for people to make their own teddies. :)

Hmm..on the other hand, however, the appeal and attraction to visit VivoCity was lost quite soon enough after the first visit. Nothing seems to really capture my want to revisit it. Maybe it's all the media hoo-ha that made people visit at first.. *hmm*
