Didn't know Hiang Ji Roasted meat & Noodle House is kind of 'Famous' store at Toa Payoh.
As my friend and I were there by chance and decided to settle our dinner at toa payoh, it was around 8pm when we patronised so there isn't crowd or I would say hmm no people there actually.
The duck meat tasted really good however the price is abit too pricey i feel. The service was quite bad and the boss seemed t be a little impatient perhaps because I requested my duck meat to be changed to egg and tofu.
Nevertheless, the food tasted good. But if you are those that are particular about service, maybe you would like to think twice.
Went to have dinner with my friends at Yishun BBQ chicken (: ! I had ordered a Fish Baked Rice which cost $10.90 ! It is inclusive with 1 mushroom soup and 1 cup of drink ! One thing i love about their baked rice is because it is so cheesy !! cheesy lovers can give it a shot ! MY friend ordered the grilled chicken, which comes with the mashed potato and coleslaw
However, i didn't like the service the staff gave.
As when she was serving the pepsi and root beer, she did not tell us properly which is which.. she is just purely place two cups of drinks and said this is pepsi and root beer.
When we asked her again, she said the straw that is being bended is root beer. I felt that, they should inform the customers beforehand and not wait until the customers ask, then they say it.
Overall, i would say the fish baked rice was great and tasty. Rating will be 4/5 (: !
Decided to have King Louis for dinner while waiting for my friend arrival.
The entrance to King Louis is in quite a deserted corner beside the Daiso. But after we went in, we realised that the restaurant is actuallly quite large and they even have outdoor dining.
The price is valued for its big portion, we could ordered one portion and share among the two of us and still feel full and satisfying :D
The bill came and one person is around $20 plus. including the GST and service charge.
Shall try out their lunch set the next time i go there.
My friends recommended me to try this ‘yum cha’ at Chinatown.
And just recently i finally had a chance to dine with them.
I only managed to take this pic of my favourite "ha gao" to keep it as memory while the rest i did not really have the chance haha :D
Click on the images and look at the filling !
It just makes you feel like ordering more. It tasted really yummy !
My friends and i went there which cost us around $100 plus after adding the GST and service charge. I will definitely be back again to try out other dim sums !
It has been awhile since i last tried goreng pisang. Passing by this "56 Li Ji" store which sells goreng pisang thus my sister and i decided to buy one piece and tried how it taste. To our disappointment, the goreng pisang which seems to be crispy turned out to be soft. Furthermore, it is also oily as you can see from the tissue how much oil it has been absorbed by the tissue.
Furthermore,if you wan the goreng pisang in a plastic bag it cost 10cents per plastic. At that moment, i got a shocked. Hence, it is my first and also the last time trying li ji 56 goreng pisang !
