It's been maybe a year since I've been to Billy Bombers. I remember trying their burgers there. Quite a couple in fact. A few of us were there and we ordered different ones to try and share. The impression I had of the place was a good one and I thought that I'd be back one day ( that "one day" came only a year later..)

This time we order two main courses to share, out of which one was their promotion 4-meal-set-course. It's actually just a drink, soup, dessert and a main course. Nothing as special as they made it sound like.

The service there was ok I must say. Maybe because it wasn't their busiest time yet, and so we were always attended to immediately. Also, our food was served almost immediately, it was good because I was starving!

My soup came first. It was ok, but nothing different from the Cream of Chicken you get at most places. The "exciting" ones were the main course. We had a sirloin steak and half a grilled honey chicken with BBQ sauce.

The steak was horrible. I wanted my steak to be done medium. It came out with part of it well done like it was over-cooked. It was really tough and more than a quarter of the steak was just fats and there was effectively very little meat left considering it was a small piece to begin with. It was served with 2 side dishes - creamy spinach and potato salad. They both had a weird smell/ taste. Probably the same cream or sonemething used? And the spinach just looked horrible - cream with soggy spinach. It spoils your appetite.

As for the chicken, it wasn't exactly well done. The taste was fine, but it wasn't well done because you can still see red parts on the chicken. It's common you'd say, but it's not what I'd expect from a place like Billy Bombers.

When I left the place after dinner, I didn't feel full at all. Even though they've got nice interior decoration and acceptable service, the food that I had today wasn't worth what I paid. I don't think I'll frequent the place in future..

I had a bad experience there too! The staff there seem inadequately trained. Gave wrong bill to wrong customers, not once but twice!! :(

I just visited the place today! It's not too shabby, but I think there's only, effectively, one level of shopping. Or to be more specific, less than 8 shopping outlets? They have salons, manicure shops and food outlets! Small place though, more of service apartment. But if you look at their directory, you'll see that they have quite a number of restaurants beyond the first level.

It's probably a really busy place during lunch hours because it's in the business district, near Tanjong Pagar MRT. But other than that, it's a really quiet place and almost all the shops are not open on weekends.

Good place for a quick walk and stuff. But it's gonna get boring after awhile.. Too little to see.

One of the few clothes shop at Icon Village, they sell ladies' stuff, mainly bags and clothes. Of course they have little items like earrings and costume jewelry, belts and shawls. This is a good place to go for office ladies working around Tanjong Pagar. Even if you don't work near there, I think it's rather convenient to get there too as it's near the MRT station. But they're only open on weekdays if I'm not wrong, to attract the office ladies.

Knowing the opening of a new shopping centre, I made my way down to take a look at the place in general. I walked into this shop and was warmly welcomed by the sales lady. A very friendly lady who isn't a pushy sales person (I say this in most of my reviews because I really think it's very important! It's a major turn off when sales people are too pushy/ impatient).

This shop is not too bad as their clothes are pretty nice and caters to females age 16-40, I'd say. Also, the most expensive thing I saw there was about $33.90, so on the whole I would dare to make the assumption that their things are pretty affordable!

Their stuff are mainly imports from Korea and Hong Kong. It's pretty common now I guess, but I'd say it's a good place to go since they have quite a good range of items. Personally I'm not a fan of the current fashion, however I would nonetheless go there to look at the bags and earrings because of the pure fact that it's cheap! (I got a handbag at 10 today!)

Worth a visit if you work nearby (:

(They're currently having a storewide 20% discount at Icon Village! Worth going!)

        49. Yummy O Donuts

I didn't see the place itself, but my brother brought home a box of Yummy donuts. For me, I haven't tried anything else but Munchy's (let's not count the overseas ones like KRISPY KREME'S!), so I don't really have a good variety of donuts to compare.

My first impression of it was that it was small. Yes, small. It somehow looked smaller than the other donuts. Is it me or what? But when I showed some friends, they all said it was small. But I must say it looked nice actually. (Or at least the few that I saw..)

I tried 2. They were all chocolate flavoured. I didn't heat it up but I ate it about 45 min after it was out of the fridge. I didn't quite expect it to be good because it wasn't heated up after taking out of the fridge, but I was kinda surprised at how it was rather soft. I like it that way. And I thought it wasn't too sweet. I actually thought the softness was kinda like KK's. Of course it didn't taste like it.

On the whole, it wasn't that great, but I thought it tasted better than Munchy's. Comparing the chocolate flavoured ones, I thought Yummy's was better as you don't get sick of it so fast. Maybe because it's smaller, or maybe it's just the flavour. But I really got sick of Munchy's very soon.

I think I'd go back there to get my donuts if it's not somewhere with long queues.. But I'd still say donuts in Singapore are overrated..

Ya yummy donut is smaller and to me it is also better than munchy donut. I love donuts and so far Krispy Kreme is the best. Tell me if there is any better local donuts in town.

Most things sold at the basement of Raffles Link are like finger food stuff, especially made convenient for consumption. I must say that it is a good idea to chop up the fish and chips into small pieces so that it's easy to eat, especially for people on the go. It's quite a common sight in London I think.

Whatever it is, common sight or not, I must say I don't quite like what I got from Chippy.. It was a small pack that cost you $4.60, but nonetheless it was really filling. Why? Because of the batter. If you have to know, I think the fish is just 20% fish and 80% batter. Plus the fact that there's also chips in the bag (that's fried in the batter too), you can't quite tell exactly how much fish are there.

I like the idea and how convenient it is, but I think it's really not that good/ worth the money..
