7 Jan 2015 (wed) I had an exclusive lunch with Mr Nicholas Heng, the man who brought Yoogane to Singapore. It was a privilege to have him and his team welcoming my friends and I.

I had the chance to peep into the kitchen, it was all very well-organised and clean.

While waiting for the staff to get ready, drinks were served.

Signature dish : Seafood Chicken Galbi
No oil is added, chicken simmers and cooked with oil from the chicken, cooked right in front of me as I watch them adding various ingredients in this huge pot of yummies. Lastly, Ramyeon noodles and Sticky Noodles added.

Delicious, healthy and fun, be sure to return the next round. More photos can be found on Rinaloveslife.com

25 Oct 2014 (Sat) Had brunch with the lady boss of Ashleigh Ivory who was so kind to drive me there! The place is actually accessible, just 5 minutes walking distance from Kembangan mrt.

The first dish i was served was the fried mee siam, tasted like mee hoon, perfect for breakfast, for in between times you feel hungry or for a light lunch. The fried mee siam is not oily but tangy and slightly spicy. ;)

Next, i tried the Chee Cheong Fun and I like the texture of the chee cheong fun! It contains a special blend sauce (secret recipe) and there is even taupok!

Coming to my favourite of this foodshop: Porridge Bento Set; Sweet potato porridge top with white bait fish (1 person portion)
The set has braised pork, taukwa, salted egg, chye poh omelette, pickle and kiam chye or mui choy.

I met up with the three lady bosses Jill, Judy and Tino. They grew up eating dumplings and would like to introduce the delightful flavours of Malaysian KL Bakchang (Dumplings) to Singapore! #INSPIRATION

The dumpling recipe came from Jill’s grandmother and hence the shop name of Teochew Moi Rice Dumpling. Her grandmother’s last name is Moi. This 50 year old home made receipe from Grandmother Moi is sold in KL for the past 25 years from her home. The secret? Fresh quality ingredients, soft moist rice with tender and fragrant pork filling.

21 Oct 2014 (Tues) Ahoy Readers! We are going aboard Fish Tales! If you are at SCAPE Orchard, this is one place you got to dine in.

The original fish and chips served with thick cut fries and tartar sauce.

Fish Tales has an in between fast food and dine-in concept. I have to say the fish is really fresh!

        Some dishes we tried:
        1) Chowder of the day!
        2) Spaghetti with prawns and wild mushrooms tossed in garlic and chili.
        3) Popcorn Fish!
        4) Crispy soft shell crab tossed in special sauce. I managed to share this soft shell crab with three of my friends.
        5) Cheesy affair! Cheese and fish! We spent lots of time and effort experimenting with different ingredients and ratios trying to perfect this dish. And it has proved to be our fan’s favourite where the battered fish oozes cheese. #BEST - Fish Tales

After lunch, having a cup of coffee with homemade apple pie.. A good escape to the “sea” with Fish Tales!

I spoke to, Mr Joses Chan, the founder of Fish Tales.

Speaking on his inspiration: “I’ve always been an avid fan of fish and chips and felt that the flavour of fish and chips here in Singapore could be more savoury. Having stayed in Australia for 3 years, where fish and chips is very much a staple, and boy do they taste good. Thus the inspiration came to create affordable yet tasty fish and chips in Singapore!” #INSPIRATION

14 Oct (Tues) Evening time, i was at Trunk At Bay and witnessed the sun set.

Mr Francis, one of the owners of Trunk At Bay, invited me for dinner. I invited three of my friends along. We ate a lot and some of the photos i did not include as the dark lighting affected the photos. (But the food was good!)

We had both the Green and Red Curry! Choice of pork, chicken, beef or seafood.

Homemade at Trunk: Thai Fish Cake and Thai Prawn Cake

Tom Yam Clear Spicy Soup #BEST

Do not miss the Mango Sticky Rice and Red Ruby!!

I asked Mr Francis on what is his inspiration to open a F&B business here? He replied: “Thailand is one of my favourite place that I often travel to and my eldest daughter’s god-father is a Thai, we enjoy authentic Thai food and would like to provide the same traditional Thai taste palette in Punggol Settlement with a waterfront view like no other.”

9 October 2014 (Thurs) - “Come on over and “hide” away from all the hustle and bustle. Enjoy artisan gelato, freshly baked sweet and savoury waffles at The Hideout!” quoted from HideOut's Facebook page

Casual and Modern cafe with a wooden counter top that overlooks the glass panel that seems to separate the blissful aromatic smell of coffee from the greenery outside. I am thankful to be invited for the soft launch and was surprised by some of these interesting little finds while hosted by one of the owners Ms Claudia.

            1) Carbonara with Poached Eggs - Creamy and Delicious

            2) Salami Pizza - handmade crust was thin and crispy while the sauce and ingredients were a good mix in flavor.

            3) Chestnut Ice-Cream waffle with butterscotch - I cannot describe, the waffle is crunchy yet moist

The Hideout has an array of Artisan Gelato made fresh daily and has no preservatives. Awesomeness for the healthy folks yeah.
