I am not a chicken rice person but I simply love to eat the steamed chicken, Samsui chicken, from The Soup restaurant. Cravings for chicken rice type of chicken but won't eat from normal chicken rice stall, I gathered few colleagues down to the restaurant to satisfy my love for the dish.
The samsui chicken is the signature dish that most patrons will order. They served the chicken with some cabbage at the side along with their special ginger sauce. One is to add the ginger sauce to the sliced chicken and wrap it with a piece of the cabbage. it's refreshing and yummy!
The next dish, sambal tofu with prawns, is kinda like a replica of chilli crab except that it's milder. The sauce is really good to be as a condiment to the fired rice that we ordered.
The sliced ginger fish is only average as it's quite bland. There was no sweetness taste in the fish...so i'll give it a pass next time.
The broccoli with scallop is cooked nicely. Broccoli was crispy and scallop sweet. I like that!
The penang fried mee sua was very well done except it's a bit oily. I won't be able to finish off a plate on my own though. It's good for sharing with each person taking a small bowl serving.
Yangzhou fried rice tasted different from the normal that I know. Probably because of the preserved sausage meat dice that they added. The taste came out too strong for me.
Their daily soup is always a must. I can just imagine how long they have been boiling the soup for. It's nice!
I will definitely go back for more of the chicken and soup!
The place was decorated to give you the feel of being in Hawaii. It will be better if they could add some accessories to the staffs to bring out more Hawaii feel.
The food selection is not great though but if you are a steak hamburger person then it's definitely the place for you. They pride themselves for the brown sauce that is served together with the burger.
Lunch time promotion was good with a choice of main dish salad soup rice/bread and drink. I had the hamburger steak set while my friend had the omelette rice with mushroom cream gravy. I personally find the brown sauce to be a little too salty. It must go with rice or bread. The steak patty is quite generous, meaty and top with a sunny side up. It was good especially when the runny egg yolk flows onto the patty...niceeeeee.
I tried on the omelette rice with mushroom cream gravy too and it was nice as well. Tasted different from the normal tomato based omu rice. I liked the brownie with a scoop of ice cream most! I am not usually a brownie person but this brownie made me wants to go back for more! It's moist and warm enough to melt the ice cream..Mmmmmm...simply delicious!
If you want to try them out but reluctant to spend too much, go down during lunch for the promotion!

I've been to the specialist for my vertigo countless times and that doesn't really help to ease the dizziness and ringing sound in my ears. The only thing I get from all the visits are medicine and more medicines.
I got to know Michelle Tong, (a physiotherapist at Manual Therapy), and she enlightened me on what a physiotherapist does. Whoa.. I was blown away by what I heard. All along I had the impression that physiotherapy treatment is for those who had serious accidents and etc. I didn't know that the treatment is for all sort of physical pain as well as nerve related issues. Michelle shared that vertigo can be treated through such treatments and I wasted no time in arranging for a session with her.
I personally like the tight security in the building, makes me feel secured! The office is really nice...so comfy and I felt relaxed at once as though I was at home. There's also a nice pool out there for patients to do aqua therapy.
Michelle started with asking questions about my condition and we did some exercise to test out the level of severity of my condition. After the simple test, we proceeded with the treatment. She used her hands to feel the movement of my skull and around neck area as well trying to find the main cause of my dizziness. She also helped to loosen the tightness of my muscle in different areas. I thought massage is good but this is even better! She knew exactly where are the sore areas and just applied the right technique to relieve them without much pain.
The whole treatment session was very soothing and comfortable. She also gave me tips on what I can do to ease the dizziness when it occurs. I am really glad that I met her and it helped me much. I definitely anyone who is experiencing pain in any part of the body to visit Michelle for treatment!
The Mega Flea 11 was held over at Suntec convention hall 404 over the July 5-6 weekend. It was spacious enough to hold 200 over stalls with ample walkway space for the ultimate flea shopping experience! Toilet was also conveniently located at the back of the hall with a distance away from the booths at the last rows.
The vendors set up their stalls early and waited earnestly for the crowd to flow in. Thanks to the marketing efforts of the flea organiser, the crowd was good and people started coming in from 11 plus. The organiser had also got in other companies to rally up contests, games and free ice creams for the public. This really helped to hype up the whole event and shoppers went back home with more than just their buys.
The were a wide varieties of stuffs being sold at the flea. From pre loved clothes to brand new to hand made accessories and skin care to nail foil to mosquito repellent and even trip to Lombok to save the shark!
I had fun browsing through all the items and the vendors were so friendly to share their passions and dreams for their businesses. Nevertheless, I couldn't resist and made some purchase myself afterall they were a steal at such bargain!
I am definitely looking forward to the next Mega Flea event!
