    EXCELLENT!!!

Best for take-aways, and killing yoshinoya's business.
The food is way cheaper than Yoshinoya, and TONS better than Yoshinoya. Looking at the Japanese couple cooking 'zenly' for us is pure....japanese...lol...

One thing I cannot stand about this place is that they take their own time to place your food nicely on the bowls, cook neatly slowly, hygienically...like everything seemed to be very zen about it.
The kitchen is just like any home kitchen, you can look at what kind of condiments they use, nothing is not Japanese...
I always have cravings for their food...and it's always worth the wait...food ranges from $4 to $9...if you are hungry on waiting, go get some fresh sushi from Meidi-Ya Supermarket, fresher than marketplace sushi.

Just go and try. You'll get what I mean. (But don't bring your girl there cos it is SUPER not romantic...just a take-out counter...)

My mum was the one who brought me to this place.
Being a Korean fanatic, she knows what is GOOD, and what is not.

I've been to Korea for 2x, and she's been there 6x, and experienced all the seasons there.
A foodie herself, she have had whatever as tourist and from a local's recommendation.

This restaurant that I am recommending is opened by a few Korean women whom I don't know what is their relationship, but their command of English and Chinese are both REALLY BAD. However, not to worry, their servers are all from China and speak fluent Chinese and Korean.

We had this dish in Chinese is "Shi Guo Fan" literally translates to stone pot rice. It is like Claypot rice but has a unique taste to it. This one is rather big and 2 person can share this.

And some other Korean Rice Cake with Dang Hoon (Rice Vermicelli) and it is spicy like kimchi. So remember to ask for lesser spiciness if you can't take it.

What is so nice is that they serve some organic heath tea instead of water, small korean dishes like towgay, beancurd, kimchi, ikan bilis and all, all well marinated. I honestly hate towgays but their towgay are sweet yet salty moderatly.
Talking about this I am craving for it again.

They sell Korean Rice wine too...and their Korean traditional rice cake desert which I cannot appreciate.

Because this place is independent, I really hope it will not close down so soon...they only have regulars going and it is not reaching out. So I hope I am helping them a little on this aspect.

Comparing to stuff I had in Korea, their stuff is way better, and does not have that "modified for Singaporean's taste" thing. Truly authentic, everyone should give it a try.

        AVERAGE.

But what makes it fun is that though they have a policy that you cannot have more than 4 people in a room, they ALWAYS let you stay with your gang of up to 30 people provided if you can squeeze yourselves in.

        Talking about flexibility.

You'll be having food from BBQ, having fun with everyone else, so food and fun not at your reach, will be alright.

What's most important, is that they allow a big major gathering, and that's good enough.

Why is everyone's comments so positive on this?

Ok I agree I will alway try to be an a**hole when I go to some restaurants.

That day when I went to Manhattan (PS), I demanded that I get to sit in that reserved area or I'll leave and complain.

To my delight, they gave in to me, and we had 3 fish 'n chips, 1 seafood platter thingy that are cooked with some blowtorch.

I agree their fish n' chips are alot tastier than Fish 'n Co, but I somehow still prefer the soggy fish 'n chips from Fish 'n Co.

Actually, Fish n' Chips are best with Malt Vinegar, or lots of Lemon drizzle. However, I had to call for more lemon, as malt vinegar wasn't there. Since I like my lemon like 4 slices, I told them I wanted 4 slices, BUT they came with one slice everytime they came to me. ALRIGHT. GOOD. GO and COME BACK 4TIMES THEN!!!

I'd like to comment that their staff are not very smart. Indeed I am not a big spender, but why is it that I HAVE TO ENDURE THIS KIND OF CRAP. NO! You have to treat everyone the same!

          Anyway, the food's great though.
But I'm not going again to get another potential heart attack.
