Authentic Korean food cooked by Korean chef. Price is reasonable and portion suited for one person. They serve mostly pre-cooked Korean dishes. No BBQ dishes. Bulgogi is pre-cooked and tasty. Propably one of the most tastiest I have tried. Priced at S$16.00, it is certainly value for money!
The Kimchi soup (Yookgae jang) is also delicious. Again the portion is just nice. The only problem we had with it was that it was slightly too oily for us. But then again, there might be others who like it.
The rice tea goes very well with the food and the kimchi is just right. The staffs are friendly and helpful.
Also a must mention is that they have Korean rice cakes for sale. So if you like rice cakes, this is the place to visit. If you come by late enough (about 8pm to 9pm), you might even be able to get a discount for the rice cakes (no guarantees!).
One of the specialties that surprised us here is the red bean rice, delicious to the core. Goes well with the BBQ dishes we ordered. The servings are also generous. The Samgyetang (Ginseng Chicken Soup) is the real stuff, with rice fillings and pieces of ginseng in the soup. Taste is great.
This is a typical family run Korean restaurant. Ambience is nice and modern. Food is also great. If you are into Jinro, it is at about $19 per bottle here. Quite the same as in any other Korean restaurant or supermarket.
Owner is friendly and helpful. If you are not sure about the dishes, just ask him and he can explain to you. Dishes are authentic korean and the kimchi here is just heaven - spicy and all tasty.
Fantastic place to eat authentic Korean food. Nice ambience and friendly staffs. Service is excellent. You can find all your favourite Korean dishes at reasonable prices, like Bulgogi (Not the BBQ ones), Samgetang (Ginseng Chicken Soup), Pajun (Korean Pancake) and Kimchi. Staffs and chefs are also Korean, so you get the real deal. BBQ Portions are also large. One BBQ portion can be shared by 3 persons.
Especially like the Bokbunja Rasberry wine. Did not find it in any other Korean restaurant I visited. The taste is smooth and fruity. Just right to accompany your bbq meal.
Tea is free flow and their array of side dishes is simply amazing. The most that we have seen in all the Korean restaurants we visited in Singapore. You can order the 2nd round of side dishes absolutely FREE.
The restaurant is situated in East Cost. There is another outlet in West Coast. Been there also. If you are into BBQ Bulgogi (beef), it is best to visit the West Cost outlet as they do not serve this dish at East Coast.
