ate at nyny @ citylink once, and i was delighted by the quality of the food i was served. together with my fren we ordered quite no. of dishes, and all was pretty up to standard. i think this really explains the perpetual long queues seen outside the restaurant, esp on weekends.
something worth mentioning is that you find pretty funky food items here not found elsewhere. basically they mix and match certain ingredients and while you could be apprehensive at first when reading the menu (like i was), you may be surprised at how well the combo can actually taste.
prices are not all that cheap, but reasonable for the quality of food, ambience, and service that you receive. worth a visit, if u dont mind the queue!
i like manhattan fish market! their menu is almost identical to fish&co (hence the lawsuit), but i will say this is the more value-for-money version! i almost always eat their fish n chips, which is always satisfying and never disappoints me. at just $9.90, it is really worth it, as the huge piece of fish is served with a generous portion of tasty chips.
the seafood platter for two is a hot favourite among my frens as well. some of them have claimed that the prawns are more delicious here than over at f&c, cos they're more "burnt" and hence more flavourful!
am nv a huge fan of hongkong cafes. i find their food kinda dry (all the baked stuffs), and i prefer my food with gravy. usually go there only for dessert and to chat with frens. i suggest meals to be taken elsewhere, and hk cafes be reserved only for their beverages and dessert.
dessert portions can be quite big, so it's good for sharing with friends. but do check with the waitress if unsure, cos the pictures on the menu can be really deceiving!
haven been back to the cafe for some time, but when i tried it last year it was just average. the ambience, the quality of the food and the service. i guess it's the pretty laid-back atmosphere that appeals to the youth/student/undergrads crowd to hangout at this cafe. plus the prices are really quite affordable and the food is decent.
i personally dont quite fancy the very girlish decor tho. haha. so pinkish!
frequent HUGE updates with many many different styles for you to choose for, it's easy to find something you fancy from this blog store. it's also one of the few blog stores (that i noe of) that sells a nice variety of bags too. prices are really decent as well. with so many plus points, it's not surprising to find that items are sold out really fast! just look at the number of comments she receives and you know how popular the store is. so, do subscribe to her mailing list if u like what you see, and be sure to grab that item that catches ur eye fast before it's gone!
