A place to con those disney fans. Practically no nice filling adult food there. Spaghetti is like $8-10, Pizza for $15.95, both not nice to eat. Food served are from simply microwaved type. Smoothies ($5 ) and ice-cream are ok. Overall, it feels more like a place for dessert than for a proper meal. Surprisingly, the place is still crowded, maybe because parents are bringing their children there for the Disney theme, not the food.
I hate the hard selling tactics they employed. They would not let you go unless you sign up for their package. They pretend to let you try out their products, and the next moment, they let you sign on the bill. No thorough explanation.
They are always fully booked for the day. No free slots.
There are the usual competition (Olympic) pool, wading pool just like in normal public swimming complexes. What makes it different are the Lazy River, Wave pool, Jacuzzi, and Wave pool.
I like to laze in the Lazy River. Just let yourself float on water (or simply place yourself on a water float), and the flow of water will bring you around the premises. It is so relaxing.
The jaccuzis are nice, but they are always in use by many users during the weekends.
The Wave pool is too cold for use. The constantly moving air due to the waves and cold water will make you shiver like mad. The waves come at a regular intervals.
The slides there are abit worn out. Seriously doubt their durability.
Lastly I enjoy the experience there, and the after experience too when I visit the coffee shops nearby for a plate of rice due to hunger.
Nice place to visit for swimming, after their renovation few years back. There is a competition (Olympic) pool, teaching pool, learner pool and wading pool.
However, given that it has to serve the huge population of the East (Simei, Tampines, Pasir Ris), the pools are quite crowded through the weekends.
Water is quite clean (no dry leaves floating on water or sand particles in the pool bottom).
I like the gift boxes they sell at Daiso. You can't find them at $2 (for the size I took) elsewhere like Spotlight.
And yes I agree that not all things there are considered cheap at $2. So please do check out the market rate of similar items before proceeding on to make a purchase.
Meanwhile, my colleague likes to buy those fake long nails from Daiso, which I believe is cheap too.
