Tampines Mall is indeed very crowded, but it is the crowd that makes it vibrant. It is like a mini version of Orchard, with most of the popular stores found in this shopping centres. I like their roof-top garden. Interesting place to explore.
The escalators are the ones that put me off. So difficult to manoveur through the crowd at the escalators if you are in a rush.
Very nice place selling mochi ice-cream. Provides more flavours than those selling in supermarkets. There are Tiramisu, Chocolate Vanilla, Green Tea, Chocolate Mint, Guava, Vanilla, Sakura, Pistachio, Chocolate Espresso, Passion Fruit, Chocolate Coconut, Mango, Strawbeery, Raspberry, Cocolate Peanut Butter, Lychee, Azuki Bean, Blueberry, Strawberry Dark Chocolate Chip. So many flavours!!
I like those non-fruity ones. You get to choose your own desired flavours to place into the box if buying more than 1. usual price is $11 for a box of 6 mochi ice-cream. Dry ice will be provided. And the staff will indicate the flavour of each mochi ice-cream on the box, in case you forgot what you ordered.
I dislike the service rendered by the staff there. The hairdresser was pulling my hair backwards with such a force that my neck is going to break anytime from the back. I feel that they treat their customers more like Barbie Doll than human beings (as there is always UHU glue available to glue the neck back if it breaks).
The staff were like intentionally holding back information from customers. They highlighted that my regular hairdresser was not around the day I visited the place, but explain to me that it would mean I have to pay for hair trimming for my session, until I query about it during payment.
I like challenger as i can always go back to the store with the receipt and goods for an exchange within 7 days.
I must say, yes the eastpoint branch is much smaller than the Funan branch. However, the major essential items are all still available at the Eastpoint branch.
An alternative to the Eastpoint branch will be the White Sands, with lesser TVs on display, more computer products.
Ma Maison has numerous chain outlet back in Japan. I didn't try the food in Japan when I was there.
I had tried the food at The Central outlet. Like their ambience and decor. Even bill paying system is unique. You will be given a "key" and you have to take the "key" to the cashier counter to make payment.
Went there for dinner. Not that very crowded, still manage to get a table. Had Escargot. Quite nice. Hamburger steak set was nice. Omu rice set was nice too, but not that filling.
The escalators are the ones that put me off. So difficult to manoveur through the crowd at the escalators if you are in a rush.
