I went to the sembawang outlet to had Yu Kee Duck Rice as I was craving to have duck rice on that day. Since I was young, my dad has been telling me that Yu Kee duck rice is one of the best duck rice so die die must try. However, to be honest, different outlets have different standards. The sembawang outlet duck rice tasted not too bad. I would rate it 4/5

The sauce is not too salty as compared to other duck rice stall. The slices of duck are tender and moist. I always like to mix the chili together with the duck rice and the duck meat. For chili lovers, it's a must to have their chili together when you eat.

I went to Lee's Taiwanese with my friends the last time. I ordered their Braised Minced Pork Rice set meal. Which mean I get to order appetizers, and I ordered the baby bak choy and peach red tea. It cost around 13 bucks in total.

The braised minced pork rice is one of the must try. And the portion is very generous. In addition, their staff service is very friendly, I still can remember that one of my friends is japanese and trying to pronounce 卤肉饭 but pronounce it incorrectly, and the staff who was taking our orders try to teach him on the correct pronunciation.

He waited patiently for all to decide our orders, didn't rush or anything. He even introduced more of their must try foods to us.

In addition, the other must tries are their pig intestines and meat ball mee sua, beef noodles and more

Went to Bao Today to had Dim Sum for supper with my friends at Somerset. This is our first time trying Bao Today and to our surprise, the Dim Sum tasted extremely good !

Especially the Steamed Custard Bun known as 流沙包(Liu Sha Bao) and 虾饺 (Har Gow)

I also ordered their 叉烧菠萝包 (Char Siew Polo bun) however the crust are a slightly harder as compared to other Dim Sum restaurants. But the filing are a lot.

As for the price, it was not extravagant. I would strongly suggest dim sum lovers to give Bao Today a try ! And definitely, they don't just serve Dim Sums but they do have porridge, noodles, set meals styles etc. I would definitely be going back to give other Dim Sum a try as well

    14. Santa Fe (Orchard)

Seriously, for Santa Fe i think it is the worst place i ever been to to hold celebration for friend's birthday.

Although the food looks good, but for $21 for a plate of western food...i would say that it would be too pricey for student especially.

The first time as we stepped into the orchard branch SANTA FE. the feeling was not welcoming at all....perhaps it was due to the setting and outdoor dining factors.

Howevers ,what made us feel like leaving the place was mostly due to the limited variety that Santa Fe offers and also the pricey menu that we realised we can eat 2 good sets of mcdonalds. ( sorry, that is how students are like, budgeting are always running through our brains)

At least, the food was acceptable. But we eat with uncomfortable .....and this was because as we were having our food. Most of the staffs doing serving , are watching at us ! We were like...are they hungry or what....why keeps on looking at us ?

Hey , we are your customer. not some funny animals for you to look at.....although there are some nice couple seats but i guess the atmosphere would be ruin soon or later by the staffs.

Nvm about all that, let's talk about services....
The services by the staffs are not doing any good too....the staff can look at you and seem to ask - are u sure is that all ? ...the face really can piss u off. Well , except for one staff which is abit different by serving us well through aiding us e.g. when we are lighting up the cake, he would go extra miles and lend a lighter from his friend to lend us even before we ask them for lighter.

Anyway, i would like to conclude that if you really want to eat SANTA FE so much. Do visit the RIVERBOAT outlet...i guess it would be better than the orchard one.

Was having some site visit around the CBD area of Shenton way as my friends and i decided to stop at a nearby cafe to start on our work since we have somehow finished gather the resources we need.

As we walk through the underpass, we came across this starbucks cafe which cleverly locate just outside the underpath. The cafe was very obvious, hence without further ado, we went in and ordered the some snacks and drinks.

Previously, starbucks to me was a cafe that sell nice coffee. But never did i ever realised that, besides good coffee, they actually have good food too... and what i am going to recommend next is the RAISIN SCONE !

So far for scone , i have tried four leaves, normal bakeries and scones made by friends. But of all i have tried i am dare to say that STARBUCKS's scone taste the best.

Especially with the bonus value of good customer services :D

so dear friends, if u are reading this post now ....remember to buy the rasin scone for your lunch later. :) trust me , you won't regret.

Was stolling along the crowded Bugis street, and my friend and i just couldn't decide on what to have for our lunch ...

as we were taking escalator up to second level of the bugis junction, we saw this chinese restaurant of Nanxiang.

With curiousity of their design, we took a look at their menu and find that the pricing is quite affortable. Furthermore, we couldn't stand the grumbling sound from our stomach so 4 of us just walk into the restautant. THanks goodness, it was around 4 to 5pm there is no crowd or queue :)

As we flipped through the menu thoroughly, our conclusion is that rice is more worth it to order hence my friend and i ordered the golden fried rice - the plate that has the floss meats on top .

and subsequently , another of my friend ordered the chicken cultet fried rice and another one ordered the fried noodles..

our conclusion is that only the GOLDEN FRIE
D RICE is recommended, while the noodles is in a very small portion and quite oily too...

whereas, for the chicken cutlet fried rice, only the chicken cutlet is nice. the rice don't worth $8 ...since is quite normal in taste.

    Went to KOVAN food market

althought it is a small Hawker Centre but it reflected our Singaporean life.

After a long walk, i have a sugar cane drink at Cheng liang sugar cane drink..

    the taste is OIISHI !

the drink do not have those leftover...as in if the stall owner keep on repeating squashing the sugar cane there will be a lot of substances in the drinks..

But for this stall, they will do filtering ....so it ensure that what u drink is only the WATER and not with the stalks of the sugar cane.

it cost 80 cents for a small one

    $1.20 for a big size ...

    the price is quite economic

furthermore, the stall looks very clean

    Marina food loft !!!

hmm...been there quite a few times and especially these few months which a lot of activities has been going on over there....

at the food loft...i tried the japanese fried fish ! the fried fish has two version one is the korean and another is the japan ...if you have been to there you will understand what i mean :D

the fish cost $5.50 which it come with a bowl of soup ... inside contain crab meat, fish ball and vegetables ...it also come with a bowl of rice. :D

we try to find the difference between the korean and japanese version but we guess the only difference lies in the soup ...

apart from that we also ordered the Pan Fried Dumplings

comments from us is : TOTALLY not nice ....

the meat is not fresh and the vinegar sauce they gave make it even worst...so end up i just feel that the $3.50 has gone to waste ...

photos will soon be up after i uploaded it in my com

It was our last paper and we decided to shop at ION orchard...after half an hour of shopping, my friends and i decided to settle down at coffee beaN and have some drinks.

then i remember i have this coffee bean card which i got not long ago so i ask my friends if they want to use my card to purchase so that i can accumulate points !!! :D

but then when my friend want to pay the bill, my card only has a value of $5 which i was told by the service man at the counter, so i ask if there is an option for topping the value and he replied yes , but with a minimum of $20 ! ok...since i planned to visit other coffee beans outlet in the future , i topped-up my card.

and it went smoothly for the transaction, after my friend has paid the bill....to my horror...the person at the counter did not want to return my card. when i wait for quite a time, i asked ..escume, can i have my card back ?

what i didn't expect was , the person hold my card closer to him and ask me, so what is your order ?

upon hearing this , first i got shock then next i got puzzled ! in my brain, i was thinking....you hold my card so long just because you are waiting for my order ? so i told him gently saying that i am still deciding could you please return the card to me ...

ok...i need to say it TWICE before i got my card back... and it was after he gave me an irritating look !

never mind about that, as i only been to starbuck instead of coffee bean, i don't know the flavours well... so i ask other staffs to give me advice on the flavours...the same attitude i received from the staffs again...so snobbish !

my conclusion is that, i will never ever visit the coffee bean at ION orchard again !

what's wrong with the staff over there ? i don't get it, but i do hope that other outlets of coffee bean will be good enough to change my mind on the training that coffee bean gives their staffs.

but speaking of the food, i do think that the drinks taste not bad.. but Starbuck is still my choice of cafe !

Do not have the idea that cheap haircut will give you bad hairstyle !

Well, i have this thought all along until my sister bought me to this Hairtitude Xchange with cute exterior and interior design !

It seem that they are trying to do student businesses as at that time it was under a promotion price for student of $8 Nett.

well, since i only want a simple haircut i just go in and try..

the service is very good ! compare to those expensive ones. i think the aunties there do serve me well and will ask me what kind of haircut i want.

you know some of those haircut shops which charge $10~$20...sometimes i get so mad just because the hairstylist wouldn't want to listen to me ....and i feel like shouting to them " HEY ! this is my hair so would you please keep your mouth shut and listen to what i SAY ! "

don't you agree with me ?
