During one of the day , my father was planning to drive us to one of the AMK hawker centre to eat the famous teochew porridge and we came accross this Pine Garden Bakery shop.
Seeing so many news articles, i decided to buy the cakes and tried !
i bought-
lychee ( $2.40 )
orange chocolate & ( $2.40)
Peanut ($1.20)
then peach cake , this is a baked cake ( $2.50 )
OVerall , i only like the Peanut cake and orange choc cake as the rest of the cakes taste nice because of the strong flavoring essense they use.
Especially the peach cake, after hours , the peach essense taste is still lingering in my mouth ! which made me loss of appetite .
i have also bought a red bean bread - $1.20
is taste deliciously for the first mouth but after few mouths ...it is getting a bit too much , perhap is because they put too much butter on top of the bread
LAstly is the kueh,
i asked the Auntie what is the kueh about as it look special to me , the aunt told me is a kind of traditional kueh.
i tried it and taste like kaya kueh ! no comment for this except after i have tried it , it did not meet my expectation.

My cousin treat us to Tiffany Cafe for the Buffet !!!
we went there at about 6.30pm and we were the first bagde of customers !!! haha ...so you can guess that all the food were freshly served.
the first food i took is the chocolate foundue. ^^
then small deco desserts which are very cute and look tasty.
then mini cakes which have -
orea cheesecake,
chocolate cake,
log cake , ...
mousse cakes- chococate , strawberry , sago version of mousse cake
you will know if you watch the channel 8 show on thursday - Buffet Buffet
I started out with desserts first as i am a dessert-craver !! haha
next ,,, i tried the meats which are teriyaki chicken , fish, squid ,salmon, prawn and ....many more
BEST is teriyaki chicken as it is cook on spot by the chef ! :D
i am also very satisfied with the freshness of the meats
E.g are the salmon and the prawn ! ^^
juicy and chewy !
Tiffany cafe also provided many types of salad which made me in dilemma. What to choose !!?
IT also have shark fin , onion soup , and bread?
for the heavier type of meal ....there are
fried rice , spagetti and noodle ( to prepare on your own ; DIY)
Overall, for variety wise ....although it look to me that they are trying to make it FUSION.
like providing a combination of food from Japan, western and chinese countries
but i thing they had failed.
The reason is because...there are only 1 type of rice, 1 type of spagetti and one type of noodle !
moreover the spagetti is with Beef ( so people who does not consume beef is only left with rice and noodle )
the variety of meats are a lot . However, for Japanese style they only have 2 - salmon and octopus
And having bread for dinner buffet look weird! Nobody even bother to take one piece of bread !
For desserts session -
love the mousse and pudding but not the CAKES !!!
cakes , to be frank is very NORMAL ! and the flavour of cinnamon is too strong ( is not a cinnamon cake )
i guess they have strict budget for cakes and cookies .
because the cookies is very hard to eat !
the fruits for fondue are not fresh too
anyway, i guess i will not go to Tiffany cafe for Buffet anymore

Went to dine at Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe with a bunch a friend.
The atmosphere was nice, even though there was a big crowd during peak hour ...which can be quite a 'distraction' sometimes. " lol"
Another thing that was good is the music they played !!!
what music ??? just go there and you'll know ^^
anyway, this outlet was a little special as it open 24 hours thru out !:)
which is a very good news for us , ( night cats )

Before the tampines Giant was opened, i always visit the one that is nearer to my house, and it was located at the sembawang shopping centre.
I always bought things from Giant due to its cheap and big variety of things. :D
Furthermore, they also conducted lucky draw frequently !
I always bought foods like Apples ( always seem so fresH ) ,
breads ( they made the bread themselves !) and is only $ 1 !!!! Even the wholemeal bread is only $1.20 .
They also sell sushi, cookies, clothing, meat, .....etc . TOO MUCH FOR ME TO mention.....
However, when the sembawang shopping centre closed down ....i seldom visit Tampines giant ! Because i knew i will bought a lot a lot of staff and SUFFER ! LOL
Like the Gigantic "GIANT " even though i never fail to see the long queue in every counter.
Like their things but not their staff as some of them can be quite "snobby".
OVerall , giant shopping centre is my second choice of shopping in term of distance but the FIRST in value and the variety of things they sell.

Haha, I am a Ngee Ann student so whenever our school's canteens are full.
My friends and i will go to Mega bites and have our lunch.

in the way that ....it is something like MArche !
When you first entered , you will get a card .
Don't BE SHOCKED !
they will need your card when you purchase your food.
E.g. you ordered a food and chip, they will require the card . Hand it over to them and they will put a stamp on it.
so when you finished your meal proceed to the counter and paid up together with the card :D
Other then the unique style of handling bills.
I also like their portions of food, is really A LOT !!!
Even my friend ,who is a male, cannot finish the food ! haha

then $2.5 ~ $ 4 for the chicken rice stall
$3.50 ~ $ 4.50 for the soup stall that sells fish soup and tom yam soup
LAstly , SIM students and NP staff still get 10 % discount when their present their staff cards !

Now Ah mei cafe has shifted to another location but still in Northpoint.
Perhaps, it was because last time it located at second story hence not a lot of people know about the Ah mei cafe.
I guess this is the reason why Ah mei cafe is always not crowed with people.
Been there during one of the weekend and i still managed to find seats :D
I agreed that their services is still not up to standard !
NEed improvement, especially the variety of food they provide !
I bought a set of kaya toast and hot milk tea. Compare to Ah kun , i will prefer Ah khoon "loti".
Ah khoon kaya toast is not that sweet and i like their ice lemon tea, while ah mei toast still has the space to improve.
Now, since it has change the location.
Ah mei cafe is fully packed even when it is weekdays .
People are that interesting!

Yishun village is always my choice of place to watch movie.
Although, the place is small and cramp.
the popcorn stall is located inside...
but i'll still visit there..
and this time ...my friend and i went there to watch HSM 3
even though the website did put that if we purchase 4 tickets it will give a free photo frame.
But , the staff didn't give..
one think i dislike GV is that ,, whenever there are Freebies.
WE " CUSTOMERS" need to ask for it ...

My friend was a korean so when we past by this shop, he asked us to try some of this korean delicacy.
First , he chatted with the store owner using korean language. Then the store owner let us tried all the different type of rice cake...
the rice cake presentation is very nice , with colour like Green , Pink and white.
there are dou sha filling( Red bean ) , Sesame filling , and plain rice cake
In fact, i decided to buy the Red bean filling home ( 9 medium size in one pack ) which is $6.50 ...
after that my friends suggest me to buy the sesame one , cause is more worth it ( 12 small size but $5.50 Only )
so in the end , i bought none. LOL
But i bought the chilli type of rice cake ( plain ) and share it among with my friends.
It cost $3. quite a lot !
TO me the level of hotness is acceptable , while my friends found it too choking.
But my korean friend say the real one is even more "hot" .
HAHA ....i can go korea le....^^
Overall, i REALLY like the CHEWY CHEWY feeling !
so nice !
But for price wise, it is not worth it .
better than tibits which make me fat.

went to Ajisen and had my dinner..
we ordered the Miso cha siew ramen and nan-katsu ramen !
like both the soup but the the ingredients !
and their noodles is definitely taste NICE !
other than that...i have also realised their green tea is refillable haha...
the california maki is nice but somehow quite plain...so is like normal sushi , i expect it to be much more oiishi
another small dish is something like fried potato ...i think that one is fried potato mixed with some corns and beans...this is nice ! i recommend you all to order this :D
i like their value set meal but please be more flexible on the choice or ramen !

Never try the food in this store till recently my brother being curious and order one cheesy fish set from the Paddy's fish store.
Well this store is located at the foodcourt of Northpoint shopping centre in Yishun .
The price range is $4.50 to $20
so it is quite Extraordinary to have this kind of stall found in a food court as most of the food stall only sell their food pricing range from $4 to $6 max ....which is what i think....
We were in dilemma of cheesy fish or mushroom fish so after the auntie recommend we decide on cheesy fish ! $4.50
it is unexpectedly NICE !!!
as the cooking was on the outside which mean we watched how the fish is being cooked...the process was quite fun !haha, i am thrilled by it !
so after trying i have decided that next time when i passed by northpoint i will try the next fish meal !
this is really something different from the usual western food !
