I have been always hearing from my friend that Swee Choon is one of the best place with the best dim sum that i die die must try. However, i personally feel that it has been overrated. As in i made a review about Bao Today and comparing one of their signature dim sum, "steamed custard buns" i think Bao Today offered a better custard buns. I am not sure is it because of the crowds that makes the standard drop.

Moreover, it depends on each and individual definitely. Different people has different taste bud. This is just my preference towards Swee Choon. I heard that it was so good that i thought the food will make go "woahh" but after i have personally try the Dim Sum, i felt it was just okay.

Beside their signature floss bread, i would also like to recommend you to try this raisins cheese bun ! Inside this bun there is lots of cheese filling that make you feel full.

As the cheese itself tastes salty, the sweetness of the raisins goes very well with the cheese and make the whole bread tastes simply delicious !

I tried before some other cheese raisins bun with only little filing inside which really upset me. Till i try out BreadTalk cheese raisins, i will always stop by Northpoint and grab one before heading to school. They even offer breakfast set which mean you can purchase their bread together with a cup of coffee.

Takoyaki Takoyaki !!! One of my favourite Japanese food !!! (:
Although takoyaki in singapore is not rare, but to find a stall that sells yummy takoyaki is very rare!
The takoyaki selling here at ION orchard is the traditional type from what i know.

Thus, you will see a long queue during the peak hours :D They sell it in 4 or 8 balls in a boat shape. Just from the appearance you can tell how delicious it can be right Yes ! indeed ! their takoyaki taste REAL nice :D Just endure with the long queue and you are on your way to good food.

Fruit Paradise always keep me amazed when i walked passed, the tarts they display inside the display look so much like a fantasy cake whereby the top layers were filled with lots of different fruits and look so tasty that one is not bear to eat it.

I ordered their tea set where it comes with a slice of tart and tea. The tart i ordered the mixed fruits tart, as you can see from the picture even inside the layers of creams there are also fruits smile, the tea is also another must try, the fruit tea smells really fragrant and sweet ! A good place for high-tea and gathering !

Will be back for more definitely !

When you are in Ngee Ann Poly, you can try out their Yong Tau Foo. I ordered 6 items with bee hoon. I like to have their sauces together with bee hoon as it added a lot taste to the food.

The minimum items to be ordered are at least 6 items with noodles/bee hoon/ rice and the price cost $2.80.One item cost around 30/40 cents. I find it acceptable as it is not overpriced.

They provided yellow beans on the counter, so whenever they served me the soup I will put two spoonful of yellow beans into it. And whenever the beehoon is too dry, I will add the soup in to mix with it.

It's worth giving a try for their Yong Tau Foo but do not go during lunch time as there will be a long queue for it. Overall, I would rate it 4/5

Hey! If you were a cafe hopper! You Should not miss Cupplets (a vintage-feel) cafe that was hidden in a corner of ngee ann polytechnic. (It's near the poolside)

Cupplets is a comfy cafe with friendly staffs who are delighted to serve you. I am a tarts lovers and I will always eat the tarts together with a cup of latte.

They usually serve tarts, muffins, brownies and cakes. And I ordered lemon meringue, matcha tarts, croissant and cake. The tarts had a flaky crust and the filling was light, fluffy and rich. It is not too sweet as I'm a person who dislikes to eat sweet stuff.
During my free time, I will definitely be back for more of their pastries.
If any of you would like to make orders of their pastries, do check out their website. www.cupplets.com.sg

Yesterday I went to Changi Airport to send my friend off, and so i went to kopitiam with my friend to have our dinner. She ordered duck rice and I ordered teriyaki omelette rice. The price for duck rice was $4.50 and omelette was $5.50. The originally price was $5 for duck rice and $6 for omelette. It was 10 percent cheaper as we got the kopitiam card. So it's best to get a kopitiam card so everything will be cheaper by 10 percent.

I was told by my friend that the meat are not that tasty as it was not that tender and the rice is a little hard. As for the omelette rice, although it was overpriced but I still went to order it. As omelette has been one of my favorite food as well. The omelette was well cooked but the rice was hard as well. But I like the salmon and the "salad" at the side.

If the rice is well cooked it will be better. Overall I give 3.5/5 for the omelette rice. By any chance I would hope to try other dishes but the price of the food is way too pricey. So I would rather go to Burger King to have my meal the next time(:

Whenever it is Friday and you don't have any place to hang out to celebrate TGIF, think of Timbre at Substation ! I'm fan of timbre but not a fan of zouk. (a place for clubbing) Zouk is way more noisier as the music are loud and everybody is dancing around. Whereas Timbre is a place where i can chill with my friends and enjoy the ambience. Usually, on Friday, there will be a group bands singing songs. They would even sing some of the songs that were mentioned by the customers.

Also, whenever i been to timbre, i would definitely order their smoked duck pizzas and hawaiian pizza as their pizza crust is thin and crispy. Though i also like those thick and cheesy crust but timbre crusts still beats those thick ones.

In addition, i would also order their chicken wings as the meat are tender and delicious. By adding a jug of beer would be best as well.

As for the staff service, so far i did not have face any bad service. So far the staff are friendly and easy going.

I would rate it 4.5/5. And definitely, during TGIF, this is one of a must go place.

    9. Satay By The Bay

Went to Satay By the bay which is a hawker centre that has many different types of varieties of foods. However, the price of the food is much more expensive as compared to other outside hawker centres. As 20 satay sticks cost around 16 bucks. And a bowl of gravy sauce together with onions and cucumbers were served. I even ordered hor fun as I was craving for some kuey tiao.

Other than that, my friends and I even ordered sting ray, chicken wings and cockles. I'm not a fan of cockles hence I didn't have any but my friends were eating it happily. As for the satays, we ordered 3 different flavors, chicken, mutton and pork. I love the chicken ones and it is extremely tasty when the satays goes together with the gravy sauce.

The chicken wings are tender but it was oily. So for those who's on diet, please stay away from chicken wings. Otherwise, one chicken wing is never enough haha

Canton Paradise is a place to indulge in authentic Cantonese dim sum. They offers a tantalizing menu of Cantonese delights that include succulent roast meats, congee and noodles.

My relatives and I ordered their crispy Char Siew Pau脆皮叉烧包, Xiao Long Bao 小笼包, har kow 虾饺, steamed chicken claw with black bean 鸡爪 and egg tarts 蛋挞

The har kow was the best as the filling was tasty and the it has a crystal clear and smooth skin not those soggy and thin type. Those dim sum I had ordered is also the must try or must order dim sum.

Overall, I give 4.5/5 for their dim sum!
