       Tomato Sausage Spaghetti
Dining in Hans makes my blood boil. Although I specifically says not to add in ginger and any forms of onion, the orders came in with everything added. I sounded this to the person bringing in my orders and all she could says is: "I don't know anything" and off she scooted away. What kind of service is this? Han's Marina Square branch, you ought to start teaching your staffs about good service manners!

    Tomato Sausage Spaghetti
The tomato spaghetti came in ok, but the sausages came in a bit burnt. Overall presentation wise, the dish doesn't appeal to me. It just look like an average dish that can be cook by any hawker on the street, definitely not worth the price to pay for a $11.80 set meal.

    Pork Congee
Huge in quantity, average in quality. This basically sums up the dish. Made up of egg and mince pork, the chef did manage to get the thickness of the congee correct. At least they are not too thick nor too watery. However, the congee itself is pretty plain, perhaps they can add some soy sauce in it to make it taste nicer?

The shop located at Far East Plaza Level 5, which up to just recently, I have no idea about its existence at all, if not for a company gathering. Well, here is my review of the food in the shop.

      Fried Wanton
Decently nice, with a crispy outer skin. Nothing really special, but eating too much of it will get you a sore throat.

      Hotplate Beancurd
Minced pork, soft toufu and egg, with some carrots and beans as ornaments. Not a bad dish when eating it hot. Sauce wise is a bit salty, but mixing it with rice will kept you going for more.

      Mussel with Chilli
This is definitely not the sambal mussel that I know. The chef decided to cook this dish the chinese way. The sauce itself is sweet and hot, with spices, spring onion and small chilli. Quite a unique taste, and the mussels are decently good.

      Sambal Kang Kong
Nothing special about this dish, the usual that you can get anywhere else.

      Tomyam Seafood Soup
Finally, a dish that is Thai. The soup is spicy and hot, with a little taste of sourness. To go with the soup are prawns, fishes, mushrooms, potatoes and carrots. Once you start drinking it, the soup is so good that you don't want to stop. Good to drink on a cold day as it can keep you warm, but if the weather is warm and hot like recently, please give this a skip unless you want to have a good sweat out.

Nikutofu Gozen   Tori Maru Cheese Wazen
        Nikutofu Gozen

Basically, this is a set meal comprising of fried fish fillet, pork chop with rice, simmering black pepper seasoned beef with toufu and miso soup. With such a spread, I guaranteed that you will never walk out of the restaurant feeling un-full or unsatisfied. To complete the daily fibre requirement, the management has thoughtfully included 2 slices of fruit to go with the set meal you ordered. Price wise, they are not that expensive as they range from $14 - $18. With the amount of food that I am receiving, I couldn't complain anymore. Quality wise, in my opinion, they are decent enough, not really that fantastic, but they are not too bad either. If you want your money worth worth, go for the set meal!

        Tori Maru Cheese Wazen

Comprising of fried soft shell crab, miso soup, fried chicken with cheese, chawanmushi and rice, this set meal is not bad either. However, in my opinion, do not eat the fried chicken direct as the sauce is a bit salty. What I recommend is to dump the rice into the sauce, mix it up and it will be just perfect. For their chawanmushi, I just love them! They are just so tender! When you eat them piping hot, you just could not stop. =)

             Volcano Ramen
As the name says, this dish is not to be taken for the faint hearted. It is certainly not called volcano ramen for no reason. Although on the menu itself, it is labeled as a 3 chili spiciness dish, but to me, it can easily passed off as a 5/5 scale for its hotness!! It took just 3 spoonful of the hot ramen with its gravy for me to wave the white flag. Hah. Besides the hotness, I find that their set meal promotion (typically around $13 - $15) is also a steal as it provides you with a cool refreshing ice lemon tea, with a ala cart side dish (the fried chicken is my top pick). If you have high endurance for taking spicy stuffs, perhaps, you can challenge yourself with this volcano ramen from Ajisen?

               Special Miso Ramen   Katsu Don
            Special Miso Ramen

While walking around Bukit Panjang Plaza deciding on what to eat for lunch, I managed to find an eatery that serves good decent Ramen. Ajisen is out, their ramen are horrible. Let me introduce the Special Miso Ramen from Sapporo Ramen Bishamon! On their menu, they gave it 3 chef recommendations and it indeed lives it up to the expectation. Starting from basic, their base soup is already very tasty. Piled it on with a huge slab of pork and fresh corn, you really can't ask for more. The unique mix of ingredients are really fantastic! There is one thing in this dish that really surprise me. Have you ever seen a hard boiled egg with runny egg white and egg york? I really don't know how they did it but I saw it today for the first time in my life. Quite a good experience overall.

            Katsu Don (Added on 04/04/10)

I still prefer their ramen, as they tasted better than their dons. In my opinion, their dons are just average, ok to eat, not that impressive, and their servings are a bit smaller than their ramen counterpart. However, I am really impressed by their service standards. No doubt it was their busy period and we have waited like 30 minutes for our meal and it came with a wrong order instruction, they immediately took it away and cooked a new one without any complains. However, I still find the shop space a bit small. Seriously, they should consider expanding.
