Yes.. Threadless tees are the most awesome tees your wardrobe can ever contain. Haha!
Firstly, the designs are all original and submitted by designers all over the world. Some are quirky, some are humourous. Some are design images, some are slogans.
Personally, I prefer slogan tees because it's so cool how a simple slogan can attract a person's attention to your shirt! Haha.. so far, I have only purchased 3 tees from Threadless but I assure you, I will continue to do so for as long as Threadless is alive.
By signing up as a Threadless member, you can not only submit your own tee shirt design and slogan, but you can also earn cash and store credit if your design is being chosen!
As for people like me who don't posses a talent for designing, you can choose to score other people's designs.
The best thing about Threadless is that unlike many American online stores, they ship internationally! Which means I do not have to go through VPost or Comgateway to order. You only need a Credit Card and you are ready to purchase your favourite Threadless tees.
Oh, another thing is - do wait for their sales! They usually have sales about 3-4 times a year when it's back to school for the students in USA and all tees are sold for only USD10! Which means it come up to around S$16-17 for each tee including shipping.
I highly recommend this online store to everyone because it offers cool tees/hoodies for men, women, kids and even babies! Now you can convert your whole family into Threadless addicts!
My friends and I headed for Vivo City on a Monday afternoon and we reached the mall at about 2 pm. We were famished! So we walked around, hunting for the most worth-it set lunch we could find. As we are students on budget, of course.. prices below $15 would be ideal! As almost all restaurants end their lunchtime set meal at 2pm, we were left with not much choices.
Ah-ha! At last, we chanced upon Kim Gary HK cafe! The menu looks surprisingly wide in variety and best of all the prices were within our budget so we immediately decided on this!
We were ushered to our sofa seat where we got a good view of the sea and the place was not crowded thus it was spacious and comfortable. The waiters were polite and patient when explaining the dishes to us.
What we ordered: - Iced Milk Tea - Iced Yuan Yang - Iced Honey Lemon Drink - French Toast - Garlic Pork Chop w/ Spaghetti - Black Pepper Pork Chop w/ Spaghetti - Preserved Veggie with Fish Noodles Soup
The drinks came first and I was super refreshed with my Honey Lemon drink! It was blended together well and it tasted not too sweet like any other soft drinks. I love this!
My main dish was the Garlic Pork Chop with Spaghetti and sad to say, the spaghetti was undercooked! Me & my friend both commented that the spaghetti was a tad too hard for our liking. The pork chop was alright, for mine, the Garlic sauce was very fragrant and tasted good with the pork chop.
After our main dish, I realised that my French Toast have not come! I told the lady waitress about it and she was very polite and checked for me. I realised that Kim Gary hires many middle-age ladies and they are very kind & polite!
Soon, my french toast came... AND IT WAS SO YUMMY! I totally love this, in between the butter-soaked french toast was a generous helping of peanut butter! This is my favourite dish of the day.
I will go back to Kim Gary for the Unagi stone grill rice! Their stone grill rice is their newest addtion to the menu.
I would recommend this cafe for all budget customers!
I first came to know about this quaint little cupcake shop through two of my friends' blog. They shared photos of this cupcake shop and raved about how beautiful the cupcakes were.
So, I went there the other day when I was out with my girlfriends! When I first step in, the PINK walls attracted me. Along with the pink walls, there were silver sofa princess-like cushion seats! The walls were also filled with black and white Audrey Hepburn photos in photo frames. I love the decor!
My friends & I ordered a pot of Earl Grey tea to share, and 3 types of cakes. We had a strawberry cheesecake, a double chocolate cupcake and a mango cupcake.
There were no other customers other than us when we were there so the service was really good. The waiter was very meticulous in serving us and even offered to help us take a picture when we were camwhoring away, haha!
The Earl Grey tea was nicely brewed and we had 2 cups each so it was actually a good choice to order a pot to share among the 3 of us.
The cheesecake was really good, it was thick and there was a hint of strawberry too. The cupcakes were so-so but their pretty decorations were too hard to resist!
In total, we spent about $6-7/person as the cupcakes were $3.50 for one if I remember correctly.
This is such a heaven for girls who love to take photos! The cupcakes itself aren't that good to rave about but I would say there's no harm going there to have a cuppa afternoon tea and a piece of cake with your friends.
Fortunate Xin Fu Yum Cha Restaurant should be quite a familar name with most people, largely due to their heavily advertisements on TV. The other being Yum Cha restaurant which also did a lot of TV advertisements. Their main branch is located at Toa Payoh, with a second added at Intenational Building, Orchard Road (beside Lido Scotts) which i say makes it easier for patrons to visit them because of the accessible location.
Anyway, Fortunate Yum Cha is currently having a promotion, 50% off Dim Sum during weekdays 3-5pm, and i must admit that’s the main reason which draws me to the place.
The restaurant is old-school traditional restaurant, with the decors your typical chinese restaurant style. When my buddy and I arrived at 245pm, we went into the place and browse through the menu until 3pm for the promotion to start.
We asked politely whether we can used the powerpoint for our laptop, but we were told they’ll charged us a fee of $5 per hour for the usage. This rather turn us off as we needed the laptop for some discussions, and we even contemplate leaving to find another place which allow us the use of powerpoint. But we decided to stay, have some dim-sum and get off.
Well, thats the main issue, if they had allowed us to use the powerpoint, I believe we’ll have stay longer and order more Dim Sum, but due to the fact that we aren’t allow to use, we order just about 7 Dim Sum between the two of us.
Another issue which we encountered was that the staff told us that the Dim Sum promotion from 3-5pm will be only 30% instead of 50% which we saw on the newspaper, because the 50% is for Dim Sum during 8-10am. We accepted it without much questioning because there was still 30% discount anyway.
But shortly after that, when the assistant manager passed by, I inquire her on the promotion and she told me it was 50% during 3-5pm also. Well, speak of double standards.
Oh ya, and as the place wasn’t really crowded, they didn’t have their usual staff pushing the trolley around to offer Dim Sum. Instead, we ordered the dim sum, and they bring it to our table.
Siew Mai ($4) Like i said before during my visit to Red Star previously, I always felt the true test for a dim sum restaurant will be its Siew Mai, and the ones here are good! The prawn in the siew mai is big, real big!
Prawn Dumplings ($4) The Prawn Dumplings or more commonly known as Har-Gau, is also excellent. The skin of the Har-Gau isn’t too sticky like some of the one available elsewhere, one bite into the prawn dumpling, and you will get the result below!
A big prawn inside the skin of the Har-Gau. Simply goodness!
Fried Carrot Cake ($3.80) The waitress came up with a stove and fried the carrot cake right in front of us. I suppose its not bad, at the orginal price of $3.80 i probably won’t take it again. But having 50% discount, i guess $1.90 isn’t that expensive considering we had 4 pieces of carrot cake.
Char Siew Chee Chong Fun ($3.50) Chee Chong Fun is always one Dim Sum which i’ll always order when I go to dim sum restaurant. No exceptions here, the chee chong fun is like your usual chinese restaurant one.
BBQ Pork Bun ($2.50) There is no problem with the char siew bun, the bun is good, but the only thing is if i’m not wrong, usually char siew buns come in 3 instead of 2? I got a feeling that because there was two of us so they served two buns instead of three? Maybe this is how Fortunate serve their char siew bun, can someone enlighten me on this?
Pork Ribs ($3.80) The pork ribs were not to my liking. N’uff said!
Century Egg Congee ($3) Usually i don’t really facny century egg congee, but since my buddy wanted some, so we order this to share. And to my surprise, the congee was not bad! But again, $3 for a bowl of congee is probably too high a price for me to order again, unless there’s a promotion again of course.
Mango Pudding ($5) The mango pudding was really ordinary like all normal mango pudding, and at $5 you can call me a miser, but I won’t pay the money for it. Simply its not worth the five bucks
Total Bill was $21.10 for 2 person, 7 dim sum, 1 dessert, chinese tea. The total price before the 50% discount was $30. I must say the dim sum at Fortunate Yum Cha is quite average, i’ll still prefer Red Star over Fortunate, but given there’s a 50% discount again, i won’t mind going back to Fortunate for some dim sum.
Service-wise you shouldn’t really be expecting any, and go during weekdays where there’s 50% discount. But then nowadays many other restaurants are offering 50% discount on their dim sum, such as Ah Yit abalone restaurant, and Tung Lok Seafood.

Brazilian waxing first-timers, i have found the best place to make your first experience (with brazilian waxing) as pleasurable as it could get!
Check out Honeypot at Pacific Plaza.
Firstly, for ladies who are conservative, no worries. All their staff are female, so you'll have nothing to worry about.
Second, the ambience in the waxing room is nice and cosy, complete with calming music, so you'll probably feel like having a nice snooze in there.
The wax that they use are specially formulated to ensure that even people with sensitive skin (especially at the delicate area) will not suffer from any after-effects.
The staff are friendly and will chat with your casually to ease your nerves and assist in making the whole experience more pleasant.
Even when its an "all-off" situation, you won't have to get into any awkward positions. Just turn to your side and leave all the rest to your very nice and gentle waxer.
And before you know it, its over! You'll walk away smooth as a baby's bum and thinking to yourself, "hey that wasn't so bad. It was pretty good actually!"
Personally, i'm a real coward when it comes to physical pain and i will cry before, during and after injections. I decided to take a chance and go to Honeypot for my first Brazilian waxing session. Not only did i live through it (which i frankly thought i wouldn't), i felt so much better about myself afterwards having gone through the whole thing!
Try it yourself if you don't believe me!
Oh yes and i only gave it a 4-star 'Good!' rating because when you enter the shop, it seems a bit disorganized and the ladies were nowhere to be seen. I had to call out for someone to come out to attend to me. But everything else after that went smoothly!
Snowlights (aka Snow's Closet) is a blogshop that sells handmade accessories. Owner Ade, who also happens to be a florist, makes use of every possible material to create her accessories, including mini teddy bears!
The accessories are very affordable such that even school students who have a fixed allowance can afford it!
While they are affordable, Ade also ensures that she uses only the best (in quality) materials to create her accessories.
When you're browsing, there will be a nice slow song playing in the background. It gives you a very relaxed feeling, and coupled with a nice and simple clear-cut layout, viewing the website is a real pleasure.
The photographs displayed on the website are accurate and there is little or no discrepancies from the real thing itself!
Personally, i've purchased a necklace from her. Initially i was quite worried that i'd purchased something that might have looked better than it actually was (like another blogshop i visited), but when i received it, i was pleasantly surprised! The real deal looked SO MUCH BETTER than in the photos! And furthermore, Ade packed my very delicate necklace into a nice little black box and cushioned it very well with just the right amount of bubble wrap.
Other blogshop owners just wrapped many layers of bubblewrap around the necklace and its a real chore to open it because i have to be cautious not to break of any part of the necklace inside!
Ade also adds in her personal touch by providing instructions on how to care for the trinklets.
All in all, i feel that for an online blogshop, Snowlights is more professional than it looks.
What you see may not be what you get, because what you get could be so much better! So go visit Snow's Closet today and be pleasantly surprised!
Searching for Hay Dairies Goat Farm one Sunday afternoon was frustrating. We were outside Jurong West Police Station and we saw a sign to Hay Dairies. So we followed the sign and went 'eat wind'!
Took us an hour to reach the farm and it was closing for the day! arghhhh....
Undaunted, we went the following Sunday. We still missed the milking sessions. Bummer.
Milking sessions last from 9am to 11am Milking demonstrations and briefings are held at 30 minute intervals during the following times: 9am, 9.30am, 10am & 10.30am.
Educational Tour: $3.00/pax; 250-ml bottle of milk and souvenir
The mother goats were kept separately from their kids and the billy goats. Visitors can buy a packet of dried grass (S$2) from the reception counter to feed the billy goats and kids. Kids enjoy feeding the goats.
I don't enjoy drinking goat's milk even though I bought a bottle of chocolate flavoured one. Goat's milk is an alternative to those who are allergic to cow's milk. Thank goodness I'm not allergic to cow's milk. hehe....
Be prepared for the unpleasant goaty smell though. hehe....
The goat farm is just next to the Dragonfruit farm.
My colleague and I were wandering along East Coast road wondering what to have for lunch when we stumbled upon Stewhaus - a nondescript cafe located just next to Sushi Jiro.
Stepping into the simple no frills interior made me feel all warm and fuzzy, with its wooden finishings and smallish interior - just like returning home. Service was cordial but a little inattentive that sunny weekday afternoon though.
I've never actually drank summer vegetable soup before so it was quite an experience for me. The soup was refreshing and light but I didn't quite take to the kidney beans (personal preference). Overall a decent soup, but not something I would order again. As for the mushroom soup, it was nice and thick with generous bits of mushroom. However I did find it a bit too salty for my liking.
Half Pork Knuckle - Pork Knuckles are usually grilled (at least those that I've eaten) so it came as a surprise that Stewhaus's rendition was baked instead. The pros of such a cooking method is that the pork knuckle turns out healthier (less oil) but the downside is that it sacrifices quite a bit on taste and texture. For one, the meat wasn't fibrous, coming across as gluten like and the nice grilled taste which I personally like was missing. Thumbs up for the skin still retaining its crispiness though.
Mixed Berry Stew - Another first for me. Zesty from all the berries yet sweet at the same time from the ice cream. Very contrasting flavours indeed but not exactly something to shout about.
$38 for 2 soups, 1 main and 1 dessert isn't exactly expensive but its not cheap either. Food quality falls just above the average mark and only service charge is levied (No GST). Would I be back? If I happen to be in that area, maybe.
Had its humble beginnings located at Tampines mall for about 3 years before shifting to the nearby Century Square. Being my first rating on gameshops, allow me to seperate the review into a few categories.
1. Staff and service 2. Timeliness of stock 3. Assortment of Titles 4. Price and competitiveness 5. Perks
1. Staff and service - I've known quite a few people from the shop since a long time ago. Approximately 7 years to be exact. Ever since the Tampines mall stint, one of the guys, Willy has been at the shop for a long long time. Well, what can i say? The guys there are great, always friendly and ready to help. And seeing that they remember me, i'd say they have pretty good service. No black faces or anything bad from this shop, just smiles and generally good service attitude. I guess the one reason they are nice is due to the fact they are gamers themselves and thus, talking is easy.
In a nutshell, service is good.
2. Timeliness of stock - Now this is a little difficult to judge. I'm a gamer so i know what games are great, what games are bad. And generally, if you don't reserve from the shop, the good games disappear real fast. And stock comes really slow when depleted. I mean reeeaalllyyy sllloooowww... I've also had experiences when i was anticipating a release but generally had to wait an additional week or 2 before it gets to the shop. Thus the timeliness is average at best.
3. Assortment of Titles - The shop is quite decent in this department. Stocking upwards of 1000 titles ranging from the DS, gameboy, Xbox360, PS2, PS3 and Nintendo Wii. The titles on sale are a mixed bag of hits and misses which most shops have to endure since to them, its just a guessing game.
4. Price and Competitiveness - Ah....now the most important part. The games, if new, range from $50 - 130. And they are smart to price the better games at high prices. And generally, all their games at priced at higher then average prices. This humble reviewer only bought the best hits and the second hand games so that he can maximize his dollar. And thats what everyone else should do.
5. Perks - Trade ins. I love trading in old stuff. Exchange it for cash or simply get a new game by topping up a minimal amount. This shop does it but definitely ain't giving your dollar any stretch however. There are bonus points for buying their stuff but it doesn't seem to translate into savings. So thats that.
In a pinch, a good shop with good service but definitely overpriced if you knew where else to look. (To the guys from the shop, no offense on your service but its just that i'm struggling financially thats all. lol)
It's advertising fiercely every now and then on the screen. It's hard not to take note. So this very day at work, I was hungry so I decided to take orders from the rest and went online to try out their online delivery service.
Menus and prices are easily accessible on this site. However, there are some flaws. It is not possible to make any special orders (e.g. saltless fries, plain burger, etc) through the online service. It also makes no sense to set a quota on the number of condiments you can request. I made 4 meal orders, so the default system maximum request is 8 garlic chilli and 4 ketchup. I can't even request for mayonnaise or curry sauce. Gosh!
Unlike the conventional call-in service, payment can only be made via credit card for security reasons. This makes me wonder, why should I go through all that in order to make a meal order? It's like having to go to a McDonald outlet and make a meal order via credit card. This strikes out those users who do not have credit card. (the young and savvy users perhaps)
Waiting time was the same as the conventional method. However, we are further dissapointed. No straws were given for the drinks, and the very limited amount of condiments requested is not even there at all.
Really gutted by this experience and will not be making any orders online anymore. It just doesn't make sense to have all that in place. Just too much restriction and hassle to get a meal.
I LOVE THREADLESS!

Bummer.
Milking sessions last from 9am to 11am
Milking demonstrations and briefings are held at 30 minute intervals during the following times: 9am, 9.30am, 10am & 10.30am.

Mega multimedia.
