Comments: The food taste pretty normal - not much of any special, but slightly salted. But i love their Clear soup. It tasted light and nice, you dont have to worry about those free supply of MSG issue). I think the Paste De WaRaKu is much better over there.

Comments: Once again, i dont really eat Seafood. But the Mussel still taste okie to me ( But i seemed so delicious to my mussel-craze eating mate, i tink if you like Mussel it should be delicious bah!) One thing i must credit, the service there is rather good. Supposingly, the ladyBoss was very attentive and friendly ( serve us sauces, plates and water without even us requesting!) She made me a pleasant dining experience. =)

If you guys ever walked past this Pasta De WaRaKa Restaurant, bet you would somehow be attracted by the delicious looking of pasta "specimen" displayed outside.

Gosh. I am so so tempted to try. I dragged my boy down to Marina Square last Sunday and finally got my chance to dine there. Umm try to go-in around 5plus - Coz if you reached there after 6pm, chances of waiting / queue-in will be relatively High (most applicable to weekend!)

They have got a Menu of Pasta to Rice/Grains to SideDishes to Pizza to Drinks to Dessert. Many things to choose from! and we spent like 15mins browsing through the menu and still can decide and what to order.

And after another 5 mins of discussion, we decided on this..
    - 1 Carbonara, the waraku style
    - 1 Soup Based Pasta - Bacon and Vegetable
    - 1 Prawn & Scallop Pizza
    - 1 tiramisu wif banana wif vanilla ice-cream dessert (Umm. i forgot the whole name)

Waiting time is relatively short. And before the main course is served, We got a small serving of salad each ( All pasta are served wif a free small bowl of salad!). And the Salad taste awfully Nice!! The dressing makes the Veggie smooth to your throat and makes you crave for more! The dressing tasted a combination of Sweet, Salty and Sour - Very appetitizing. Even my boy commented tat the salad is delicious (Very amazing about that coz he nv eats raw veggie.) **So we actually checked out with the staffs on the dressing that they used and we were told that its called Black Vingarette - The Chef imported them from Japan. The staff is very helpful, he even show us the bottle of the vingarette.

We tried out on different type pasta. Mine is Tomato sauce and my boy's Cream sauce. And both are equally Nice!!

Mine is Soup-based Pasta(Tomato sauce), The soup is not too thick nor saltish , serving just nice and the noodle doesnt taste soft even soaking in soup for sometime. But its best served Hot!
My Boy's Carbonara, the waraku style, its the one wif Egg Yolk. Umm, i only tried a few mouthful. But this few mouthful is enough to satisfy my taste bud. Coz the cream sauce doesnt feel or taste too milky, in fact its delicious and small niceee ( i dont fancy cream sauce though!)

And afterwhich is our Prawn and Scallop Pizza. The serving size would be just nice for 2 person. The extreme Thin crust is coated with tartar sauce and some cheese, then baked till
crispy. Topped with fresh prawn and scallop. Not only does it taste nice, it looks nice too! Serve a slice with cheese and chilli powder. Guess you will popped in the second slice after you finish your first! *Slurpss.

Lastly would be our dessert. The tiramisu wif banana wif vanilla ice-cream dessert. Tiramisu plus ice-cream, very nice. Amazingly, it doesnt taste as sweet as i thought it would be.

We spent about S$60 for this dinner. Might be alittle pricey. But i feel that it definitely worth the money. Service is Great ( they respond pretty fast), Food is Superb, Ambience is conducive.

UNO Beef House is one of my favourite place for western food! I believe they are famous for their steaks, but since I'm no steak lover I can't give any steaky recommendations.

But their fish & chips and chicken chops are excellent! Portion is large and prices are reasonable (around $4.50 and above).

It helps that they are so near my home. :) Highly recommended if you happen to be free to drop by.

I totally agree with Natsu, the queuing system at IKEA Restaurant & Cafe made me felt like I was in National Service again! Queuing up and picking up food along the way just feels so much like NS.

In case you are wondering, no that is not a compliment. :)

The food is pretty decent, but the price is a little on the high side. I tried their Chicken Chop Rice.

Finally, getting seats might prove to be difficult with the amount of people there. So be prepared to spend a little time waiting.

It was huge but tiring to explore. I wanted to go Daiso, but had to navigate about half an hour to get there because I'm quite useless when it comes to map-reading (wth coordinates?!).

Shopping-wise, the shops are mostly on the high-end side... though the range is good - you can find anything from electronics to bodycare to apparel (all kinds) to toys. I'll get something from Mango/River Island/Forever 21 once in a while, and that's during sales. :P In general, the shopping mall does not appeal to me that much.

Like tinkerbell, I go there for the food. The food choices are extensive... My faves include White Dog Cafe, SuperDog, and Kim Gary HK Cafe. I don't fancy Food Republic much because the food is over-rated imo.

Usually, I'll only go there when I'm heading there for a meal with my kakis/bf and I only shop if there's nothing else to do on that day.

This is not a copy of Aroy Thai as we thought. We were wondering how come the prices are so much cheaper compared to Aroy and discovered that it was Ah Loy and not Aroy.

Food is above average. So far we have been there twice and they have a wide selection of items all at reasonable prices. A plate of Phad Thai is about $3 which makes it even cheaper than some mass produced Phad Thai found at some food courts...so it definitely a must try for Phad Thai lovers.

They have all the regular Thai fares and must say that the portions are tasty and just right for 2 persons. The total bill came up to be less than $20 for 4 dishes and dessert. So it really is budget. Also they do not charge GST and Service charge.

What's more, Tom's Palette is just next door, so you can hop to the next shop to get your home made ice cream after a hearty meal.

As this place was situated near the office, me and my colleagues decided to try out this place which was recommended by another colleague.

I was a little skeptical as the place didn't look "posh" and the menu was cheaply made, so I didn't have much expectations. I was quite happy with the service though, because the boss was very friendly.

The first item to arrive was the Lemongrass Salad (Yam Ta Krai). It didn't look impressive at first, but when we tried it... all of us had this OMG expressions on our faces! It was an explosion of flavours - sweet and savoury without being overpowering. The ingredients were very crispy as well. This was definitely a winner, and my favourite for this meal. Bear in mind that I'm usually a loyal meat-lover.

    We had a bowl of Tomyam soup, and it was impressive as well. There were soooo much ingredients, and the level of spicy-ness and sourness were just right. The prawns were huge too! We also had Red Curry Duck, which was pretty good as well, but somewhat overshadowed by the Tomyam as we had that first. ^^;

We also had Fried Chicken w/ Cashew (Phad Kai Med Mamuang) and the pieces were very tender and yummy. Lotus has this unique dish - Crispy Kang Kong, which looks like a pile of moldy (okay, battered) seaweed on a plate. However, they taste fantastic! Especially after dipping it in a creamy sauce (I have no idea what sauce it is). The crispiness was perfect, and this is my 2nd favourite dish.

We had Pineapple Rice (Khao Phad Sapparot) as our staple, and the serving was generous (we could barely finish it with 6 hungry people!). The pork floss was complementing the pineapple rice wonderfully.

We didn't have enough tummy-bytes for dessert, but I've tried their Sticky Mango Rice before. It was lovely, but can do without as I believe most will be filled to the brim by the main dishes already.

Finally, the bill. Guess what we paid for this wonderfully satisfying lunch? Less than $12 per person (woah!).

Reviewing what I just wrote, I think I sound pretty exaggerated, but I'm not! Even the fussiest of us loved this place. I'm recommending this place to everyone I know, for sure. :)
