I love Candy Empire for all the chocolates, candies and biscuits, some of which you can't find in supermarkets.
The have a wide range of chocolates; so much so that you'll be spoilt for choices which to buy. All of them are quality guaranteed, imported from countries like Australia and New Zealand.
The only thing is that their product's prices are considerably higher than those in supermarkets like NTUC or Shop and Save. So everytime after i leave the shop, I would always have burnt a big hole in my pocket. But it's worth it, for i love chocolates=DD
I like the Art Friend at Bras Basah. Although the staff there are not as helpful as those at Taka, and the place is not as classy or new as Taka's, the most important thing is that their range of art materials are wider than the one at Taka.
I visited the Taka's branch several times and a couple of times what i want wasnt in stock. But for the Bras Basah's branch, i'm yet to enounter this problem.
Art Friend is really a great place to go to get any kind of art material. Whenever i need any art material, the first place that comes to mind will be Art Friend! You can find almost anything there, from colour pencils, to crayons, to paint, fabric paint, drawing blocks, stencils, canvas and the list goes on and on.

Frankly, i would prefer Ngee Ann City's Kinokuniya as compared to this on at bugis.
This branch is not as well-stocked and the major thing i don't like about thisbook store is that it is seriously too crammed. Especially between the shelves, when i am browsing through some books and another person wants to get pass me, i'll have to lean against the side and let him/her squeeze through. The best-seller section is also quite messy as well with all the books stacked up all together.
I feel that they should improve on their organisation of the store as well as make it more spacious.
The Kinokuniya at Ngee Ann City is very well-stocked. The have almost all the books you need! The best thing is, all of them is anrranged according to different genre in the shop, from travel to food to non-fiction and so on. So you will have no problem finding the books you need! If you can't find anything, the friendly shop assistant are always willing to help.
Furthermore, the ambience of the shop is great. It's quiet and neatly organised and not too crammed.
The only down point is that their books are more expensive then most other bookstores like Times and popular.

Also, the seats here are limited and it's super crowded during lunch hours especially after the secondary school students are released.
However, i must say that the staff are efficient as the serve customers very quickly.
