Thr porridge here is one of the best i must say. Normally, I will patronise it for supper.
The atmosphere is those of shophouse traditional kopitiam style. Very much like those eateries at Geylang.
Food wise, the sweet potato porridge is a must try. I like how the sweet potato is cooked until soft. Other than that, all the dishes are alright. Typical comfort food to go with porridge.
Prices wise, it is a bit high. My parents once paid around $20 for just 2 of them. I would think that it is a bit overpriced.
In terms of parking, if you are lucky, you can get a roadside slot. If not, just drive a bit further down and there is a small carpark to the left just before the main junction. It is just after Maybank.
This branch is at the basement. The last time i went was around 8pm on a weekday. Even on a weekday, there were a lot of people in it.
Firstly the queue, the queue to get your no. from the info counter was around 5 ppl. Took maybe 15 mins (depending how longwinded the peopl in front of you are). After that, it took me around 30 mins for my no. to be called. Good thing is after getting your no., you can roam around to look at other shops.
Service wise, it is quite speedy. The staff know their stuff. Level of friendliness is average but knowledge level is quite high. Asked quite a few questions which were answered quite satisfactorily.
All in all, a place to go if you can't solve your singtel problems over the phone or you can't get through the hotline.
This kopitiam is revamped and moved from the 5th flr to the 4th flr some time ago.
The ambience is quite nice and the food selection is quite big. Cleanliness is quite tip top.
Food wise, I would recommend the ban mian store at the entrance. Heard it is quite famous. Tried it too. I think it is above average but not super duper good. Other than that, I have tried the hokkien mee and think it is not bad.
Seating wise, there are lots of seats. The usual scene is that of mostly heartlanders - families, teenagers (due to sec sch nearby), etc.
Love eating breakfast at macs, especially on lazy weekends.
This macs is just like any other macs. It is situated just at the entrance of hougang mall, thus, it is quite busy. The scene is like those heartland scene. Lots of families, lots of teenagers (with laptop for free wifi).
Service wise, they are quite alright. Queue is not too long normally. Normally, 3 to 4 counters are open so it is quite speedy.
Food wise, the same as all other branches. Seating is quite hard to find during peak hours. Not super big also.
It is only open for 24hrs on weekend i think. Not sure if Friday is included.
Flown jetstar to bangkok some time ago. Service wise, not much complaints. Maybe due to the lack of need for interaction with them.
The good thing about flying jetstar is they operate at one of the main terminals and not the budget terminal which i'm not familiar with.
In terms of the airplane, it was a 747 if im not wrong. The seats were very crampled. I have quite long legs and needed to sit sideways. Service attendants were quite alright. Nothing to complain about.
All in all, a cheap way to fly if you don't have exceptionally long legs. Certainly a no-no if you want to fly further than bangkok.
