Just went for dinner here yesterday... 1 word.. it is cheap!!! This restuarant is part of the Ajisen Ramen group. Compared to the ramen, the food here is considerably cheaper.

Some of the mains are less than $10 (eg. pork cutlet, chicken cutlet). You can add on $3 to make it a set, which adds on rice, pickles and soup. Not such a good deal in my opinion, but simply essential for me who likes rice. haha. We ordered the unagi with egg set and omu-rice bacon main. The unagi set contains lots of unagi. tasted quite ok. Soft and nice but a bit boring after eating so many pieces. The omu-rice came with spanish sauce. The sauce is ok. Tasted quite diff from other sauces, a tad bland. The nicest part is the bacon. This dish is one of their famous 1. The bacon is really nice. Must try. Worked out to $28 inclusive of the gst and service charge for the above set and main.

Service wise, it is still ok as we went around 5 and it is not really packed. Refilling of water need to be reminded. Other than that, the staff are quite courteous.

A nice place for affordable jap food. Quite a lot of desserts but I didnt really try.

visited this place some time ago. The food is good! This is the third time i ate this and it haven failed me yet! haha.. ok.

For the uninitiated, this place sells jap-french fusion food. The signature dish is the black squid spaghetti (which I haven try yet.. so no comments)

First on the food. The food are done quite well. I had a dish of beef meat covered with omettle with rice. This is the nicest. Never failed to get this whenever I go there. A must try. I also have this beef patty with rice (their supposed signature). Not very worthit and nice i feel. Just ok only. The beef is like upsized beef patty. I prefer beef meat pieces than patty made of minced meat.

During lunchtime, there are also set lunches from 12.90 to 16.90. Quite cheap compared to eating dinner. Set lunch includes 1 drink, 1 main, 1 soup, 1 salad.

Another tip is to sign up to be a member (2 types of membership - lunch and dinner) For dinner, if you accumulate 10 stamps (1 stamp for every dinner visit), you get $100 voucher. Very worthit i feel.

The service is also very nice too. Quite polite. Maybe only sometime didnt top up the water as fast.

Went for buffet dinner today! Waiting time is long! lots of people! The place is quite small so you will need to go early

Spread wise, it was a far smaller than other buffets such as hotpot culture which is also a porridge buffet. However, the quality is quite good. In short, there are main dishes, porridge, rice, hot desserts, cold desserts and plain water as drinks.

Cold desserts are simply ice kachange and ice cream. Nothing fanciful. The hot desserts include barley and the bread and butter pudding. These 2 are super good. The drinks wise, sadly, only warm and cold water.

I think they really shine in their main dishes. The nice 1 include the sliced duck (a waiter sliced the duck on the spot, must try), mussels, steamed fish (this is very good. must try).

In short, very worthwhile for weekdays i would say. Sadly, the spread is not too wide. Service is very good, dishes are cleared immediately.

Went for an event at ACM recently. Took the chance to tour the museum too.

The museum is packed with lots of artifacts~ It is broken into exhibits according to the different regions in Asia. For instance, Southeast Asia, West Asia, etc.

The first feeling I have is that of being overwhelmed by artifacts. There were tons of artifacts present. Due to time constraint, I only visited a few exhibition areas.

The exhibits on China was particularly interesting. Learnt quite a fair bit on religions and stuff. Reasons for things which I had practised all along as taught by my parents.

As a whole, I will say that this is the right place to go if you want to learn about the history of Asia. The s include the free pamphlet at the start of each exhibits to aid in understanding the exhibitions and the "computer stations" or more like video stations around which relate to you the exhibits (helpful for ppl like me who are lazy to read.. ahaah). There are also some interactive stations, eg. you can put on chinese opera costumes or some headgear to take pics~ (prefer to pic)

Drawbacks include the dim lighting which made it quite hard to read the pamphlets and take photos. However, it do make the atmosphere better.

        A few drawbacks though,

The Cathay is one of my fav cinemas. The seats are comfortable and clean.

Particularly like the couples seats which are the last few rows. Spacious and nice for sitting with your loved ones. Not always available in other cinemas. Somehow feel they have more threatres here fitted with the couple seats. Maybe because it is new.

The exit doors are also suitably situated which led you back to the ticketing counter area. Not like some cinmeas where you got led to some ulu place outside the mall.

For NTUC plus card members, there is a promotion of buying 1 get 1 free when you show they a charge slip using that card. Very worthwhile in my opinion. Cost me only $10 for a movies for 2 on weekends.
