True Fitness CSQ is perhaps well-known (and avoided) as being one of the smaller outlets of the chain. However, I personally prefer the more cosy environment where everyone knows you by sight and acknowledges your presence with a nod.
If you can avoid the evening oeak crowd, most of the time the gym is quite quiet during the day
Yeah, the shower stalls are a bit unnerving, sort of a modern wayang kulit show...
Have heard horror stories about other True Fitness outlets where members get hounded and sold mship packages but I personally haven't been disturbed so far (fingers crossed)
Weekday promotion 50% off seafood ongoing. We opted for the seafood set menu ($130 for 5pax) even though there were only four of us. Comfortably enough food, no wastage, but probably cos everything was so good!
Salmon Sashimi, Braised Conpoy Soup, Steamed Boston Lobster, Steamed Fish, Baked Prawn, Baked Crab, Seasonal Vegetables, Seafood Fried Rice and Daily Dessert. And if you call in advance to book, you get a complimentary (half) Peking Duck. Take note that you will be charged for the second serve.
Very nice meal, although a bit too garlicky for my taste, I suppose you could ask them to tone down the garlic if you are not a fan. Go try!
My word of advice to all budget airline travellers, do reconfirm your flights at least two days before you travel in case there are schedule changes you are not aware of.
Check http://www.changiairport.com.sg for departure from Singapore and while checking in for your flight, double-check the return (assuming your trip is less than a week) at the check-in counter before you depart.
I believe in these times, if you really wanna travel, you should choose a reputable agency. I mean what's the point in choosing a cheap agency if it goes belly up together with all your hard-earned money?
Chan Brothers may be slightly more pricey than other packages, but scrutinise your package to see the inclusions and value. Their post-travel service is prompt and satisfactory!
