The dining experience at Kuriya was certainly a very pleasant one. The ambience at the restaurant was great. It had a serene atmosphere with dim romantic lighting. The staff were also very polite and helpful, greeting anyone who walked in. I had the cod fish lunch set meal, which was around $26. It consisted of an appetizer, a main meal of cod fish, rice, chawanmushi, miso soup and a desert of chocolate mousse. The cod fish was the best I've had so far, fresh and full of the rich yet subtle taste of cod. Yet, it was not too fishy, just perfect. When it first appeared, it looked rather small, two pieces roughly the size of a palm. However, as I later discovered, it was definitely satisfying enough. The chawanmushi was also great. It was very smooth and filled with flavour. As for the desert, it was presented in a very intricate manner-- a scoop ice cream beside a small bowl of chocolate mousse. Good food with good price!Highly recommended! [Read more] |
