The Cotton On at Anchorpoint is an outlet store, so the items on sale here are generally cheaper than those found in other outlets. Also, the selection here is not bad. They have stuffs like dresses, shirts, t-shirts, blouse, skirts, shorts and also shoes and most of the stuffs you'll find at other CottonOn outlets. Also sometimes they have factory rejects here too. These are mostly going for much lower price, but since they are factory rejects, it means that there may be something wrong with the item, for eg. the sizing may be wrong, the button may have dropped off or there may be stains on the shirt.
Overall, the Cotton On here is quite good if you are looking for some affordable clothes.
I have been to Around De World once to eat dinner with my friends and the food there was not bad. The restaurant looks like a very hip and trendy place suitable for youth and stood out among all the Chinese desserts and steamboat shops. It is quite near Bugis Junction (at Liang Seah Street), so the location is not that hard to find.
I ordered the white wine prawn and the wine taste was surprisingly quite strong, but I like it. My friend had the teriyaki chicken and mushroom and I tried it too and it tasted awesome! It's a must try if you are there.
Overall quite a good place with nice food to eat at. Good if you are near Bugis and craving for some good pasta.
If you mention Queensway Shopping centre, the first thought that comes to mind for many people would be that it is a place to get sports related stuffs like sports shoes, rackets, sports wear etc at cheaper price. Ditto. That's just what this place is mainly. You will be able to find cheaper sportswear, sports shoes, FBTs etc here. Also there are shops selling clothes and accessories and it is quite good place to make printed shirts like class tees since I think there are quite a few stores doing customising shirts available here. I also heard the spectacles sold at the shop here are quite affordable too....
I have tried the laksa here once with my colleagues and I like it's taste especially the gravy/soup with the hint of lemongrass taste in it. The spiciness is also just nice, without it being too hot. It is also easy to eat since the noodles are short and you only have to use the spoon to scoop the noodles, along with the soup to eat. The only thing about the laksa is that the portion given is really small, so those with a big appetite especially most guys may find it not filling at all.
Overall, the laksa taste better compared to the normal laksa at coffee shop, so it is worth a try.
I dined in one at the Qi Ji Bistro at Tiong Bahru Plaza during office hours and it was quite crowded with the lunch crowd and it was quite hard to find seats then. My mum likes to takeaway the nasi lemak from here for us too. The food is not bad.
The rice for the nasi lemak is quite nice and I especially like their chilli. For the nasi lemak, I think they have a few set choices which comes with different ingredients with stuffs like eggs, chicken, otah, fish etc. I've tried the mee siam there too, which is not too bad as well.
Overall not the food at Qi Ji is not bad and it is Halal certified.
