    The first thing that interest me when i saw this outlet is... why did they use an email address as their shop name??? Perhaps that is their innovative way to interest people and it has defintely interest me.

    As their shop name propose, this shop sells kuehs and only kuehs. Well, i always thought that theres only these much (little) type of kuehs available, just how many varieties can you give?

    This shop defintely impressed me. Take for example their ondeh ondeh (sweet potato rice ball with fillings) has more than 5 different types of fillings. Not mentioning the other nonya kueh like steam tapioca, kueh dadar, kueh talam ubi, kueh lapis, etc.

    Their yam paste (orh nee) is one of my must order item. Unlike those watery kind o orh nee that is served by some dessert store, this store's yam paste is thick. I loved thick yam paste cause they are more fragrant than those watery ones.

    Another plus point of their orh nee is that it is not very oily nor too sweet. (a good reason for those healthy watcher to give their orh nee a try).

    And not forgetting, their yam paste has added mashed pumpkin and ginko nuts. A very nice combination for the sweet pumpkin to mixed with the strong taste yam, makes you feel like eating more and not getting sick of it easily.

    Overall, a pretty good place to search for nonya kueh as their kuehs are freshly made everyday.

    Word of advice:
    Their ondeh ondeh runs out pretty fast especially during lunch time. So please be there early, if not you will be disappointed.

    ||Provence Bakery||
    This is no ordinary bakery shop, it has successfully combined japanese and french flavours into their breads. Provence Bakery has a bakery cum cafe concept, which i find it quite good. Whether you need some quick take away or a relaxing afternoon tea, you can definitely find it there.

    Located in a quiet corner of holland village, it took me really some time to finally locate this bakery shop. But, its really worth my effort cause their breads are really amazing.

    The definitely must try will have to be their wansat. It comes in two flavours -- chocolate and custard. Both are really nice (although i prefer the chocolate one). ha.

    Shaped like a small croissant with inter layers of chocolate or custard filled in between. Whats more? Their texture is really really soft, one bite and it will melt in your mouth. Simply heavenly.

    They are usually sold in a pack of 10s with either a mixed combination (custard and chocolate) or chocolate only and custard only. Really nice of them to pack in this way. So, if you wish to try both of the flavours, you can choose the mixed combination without having to buy 2 packs. hee.

    Milk and cheese is the next bread that i would like to recommend. A fan shaped alike crispy crust, has milk and cheese combination filled up right in the middle. This slightly sweet bread has a very strong milky after taste which i loved it very much.

    Overall, their breads are really good. However, if you want to try out wansats, my advice is to go there early cause their wansat are usually sold out by late noon.

    ||The Cheesecake Cafe||
    Being a cheese lover, i simply loved anything contains cheesy. So when i heard of this cheesecake cafe, i told myself i got to try it!!!

    The cheesecake cafe is located in the eastern part of singapore and only opens during the evening - night time. Glad that i did not went there early in the morning, if not guess i will miss these cheesy cakes. hee.

    They have only a few parking lots just outside the cafe, but they are usually full so do come early if you do not wish to search for a carpark space (which is rather difficult in that area).

    My very first step into the cafe really surprised me. For i nearly thought i have stepped in to a bar instead. ha. It is dimly lighted with some soft backgroup music, combined with big comfortable sofas, it is a perfect cosy place for you to relax.

    However, didnt really like the height of their tables (which is rather low). Perhaps it is to complement their sofas, but i find it quite hard to eat a main course.

    How can i not order cheesecake when i am in the cheesecake cafe??? Their range of cheesecake is very special as you will not be able to find most of them in the normal cafe. From the normal new york cheesecakes to peanut butter cheesecake. ha.

    I ordered their recommendation -- peach jelly cheesecake. Every mouth of the cheesecake proved to be a surprise for me. Small diced pieces of peach is found in the cheesecake and whats more, a thick slice of peach jelly is hidden in between the cheesecake.

    This peach jelly cheesecake tasted wonderfully nice. Now then i realised that peach can actually go very well with cheese. hee.

    Overall, its a nice ambience cafe with warm staffs always ready to give you recommendation on their food. However, their cheesecakes are priced slightly higher than those normal cafe, but guess the surprise that you find in their cheesecake will worth the price you pay.

      Knew of two MFM locations in Singapore, one is at clarke quay and the other is at plaza singapura. Both offered the same menu but the one at clarke quay has something more.

      Yes and the something is called the ambience!!! ha. Well, MFM at clarke quay has a balcony section whereby you get to view really surperb scenary with river, hills and best of all -- sunset. Sounds like a fanastic place to propose. ha.

      As this is bascially a outdoor concept, you will not get to enjoy any air conditioning there. So, you can get pretty warm during certain part of the day. Good advice is to be there when the sun has set.

      Thumbs up for their food!!! They have been said to serve the best fish and chips, and i guess this is very true. Deep fried golden brown crispy batter wraps the thick piece of dory fish, and the crispiness will actually last you till the last mouth. Their chips are really fanastic too. Really wonder how they can make every single fries to be crispy on the outside and soft on the inside? Does it has something to do with the potato?

      Another must try has to be their mushroom soup!!! Their mushroom soup is not super thicky kind where you actually find them lump together. Whats more, it has a really strong taste of fresh mushrooms which is good.

      Overall, a wonderful place to enjoy your meal. However, be prepared to wait for a while before being served as the servers are mainly located inside the main dining area and they may not be able to see your waving hand.

      ||Prima Deli||
      Prima Deli has quite abit of outlets all over the north, east , west and central zone of singapore. Defintely one of the major contributor to the bakery industry in Singapore. This particular Prima Deli lies in the corner of ang mo kio central. One would have easily missed it with soo many bakery shops available in the amk central.

      Well, you may ask me wat its soo worth mentioning about this bakery. Firstly, their breads are not fanciful at all, be it the appearance of their breads or even the name they called for their breads. This is what i like as you do not need to take time trying to decode the name of the bread in order to know what is the filling inside the bread. ha.

      I particularly like their deluxe vegetable bun. Although this is considered a simple bread which poses some similiarity of soon kueh, i like it cause you can hardly find it at other bakery stores anymore. Will defintely get one whenever i pass by prima deli store.

      Secondly, i need to mentioned is defintely their pandan pancakes. These pancakes has definitely become one of their signatory food. You can choose to have the pancakes plain or with the varieties of fillings that they have. It includes cheese, blueberry, redbean and even chocolate. Yummy.

      Not forgetting, their pancakes are always piping hot and will stay crispy even after sometime. Wonder what did they add in their flour to have these result. ha. Im pretty impressed.

      Thirdly, their have recently added in a new series of bakery stuff, that is their puff pastries and muffins. Looks pretty delicious. And you get a pretty good deal promotion if you get their puff pastries and muffin this month. Guess now its really a perfect time to try out their stuff.
