With the Art Festival here, I guess it is a fitting time to review this art icon.

The concert hall seating arrangments consist of 2 or 3 storeys. The more expensive tickets will buy here a place on the ground floor, accessing these seats will not require climbing of stairs or escalators. The 2nd and 3rd expensive seats will need stairs and escalators respectively to reach. This is because these are box seats that overlook the stage. But whichever you choose, from experince and observation, the seats are usually quite close with little leg space for you to stretch, so do arrive early to avoid squeezing through people.

It is also a good idea to bring along a binocular to get a close look at the performers. Take note that for some performance even the drinking of water is prohibited to avoid distraction to the performers, to do so you have to go to the resting areas outside where drinks are sold at exorbitant prices.

I bought a pair of ankle length boots from this store once, but I don't think I will be returning. Note this is not because of poor service or inferior quality shoes, in fact, on the contrary, I find the service to be fairly good. On the occasion when I bought the shoes, the staff was friendly and polite, and they even allowed me to bring it back to exchange for another size, and even offered to have the desired size and design delivered from another outlet. So, on the whole. I have no complaint about the service standard.

As for the shoes, the designs are fashionable and follow the latest trend. Most are made in Hong Kong, I think. The prices are very affordable too, you can find some that cost less than $20. The boots I bought only cost about $30. What I find lacking was the cutting of the shoes, it was not comfortable, and if you are constantly on your feet, you will suffer from aching feet.

But for those who wish to keep up with the trend, and do not wish to break the bank, Mad about Shoes, is probably for you. If you are willing to sacrifice comfort, that is.

Beauty Credit sells Korean skincare and cosmetics products. A cosmetic that is very competitively priced is its nail polish. Prices range from $2.50 to $7.50 depending on the colours preferred. This is more affordable compared to Revlon, Maybelline, where a nail polish could easily cost $10. However the range of colours offered are almost as many as these well-known brands.

But not all its products are as competitively priced. Many of its skincare products cost $40 and above. Its lipstick could set you back by $20. In short, except for its nail polish most of its other products don't come cheap.

In terms of service, the sale staff seem to know their products well, and are able to explain their uses. But you may feel harassed as the moment you step into their store, the sale people seem eager to promote to you their merchandise. However if you tell them you wish to browse on your own, I think they will leave you alone.

Kiddy Palace is a nice place to go to if you are shopping for Maternity wear, and children's toys and clothes. It is fairly large with many brands to choose from, at least for the toys.

The toys offered here seem cheaper than those at Toys R US too. For example, I found quite a few cooking toy sets at below $10. There are also many other toys going for below $20, so you don't have to break a bank to make your young ones happy.

Currently there are having a 15% storewide sale, so it is a good time to visit.

However, the service is not fantastic, there are only 2 cashiers at opposite corners. I queued quite a while as the customer in front was making many purchases, and the cashier didn't bother to inform me that there is another cashier.

I decided to visit Pizza Hut again after not having done so for several years. I am impressed by the changes it has undergone since. This outlet at Jurong Point is not only large but the decor is casual and chic. The tables and chairs used are of dark brown wood with padded seats, the walls are adorned with modern paintings. Overall the ambiance it exudes is that of classy but casual dining.

When it comes to the service, I think they could do with a few more staff during peak hours. I dropped in during the lunch hour and was seated in an obscure corner. As business was humming the waiters did not bother to check on me, so I had to get out of my seat twice to find someone to attend to me.

However, apart from that, the staff are polite, and the food came fairly fast despite the crowds. I went with the $6.90 value meal. For this you get a soup of the day, main course (choice of personal pan pizza, pasta or baked rice), and drink. You also get to top up with a side dish for $1.95. Choice include Garlic Bread, 3 pieces honey chicken wings, and a few others. Spend $1 more and get a scoop of ice cream for dessert.

My order that day was Chicken n ham pizza, topped up with a side dish of honey chicken wings. The wings were really tiny, edible but not fantastic. The soup was cream of mushroom, its serving portion and taste is slightly better than that of Delifrance. The Pizza was delicious. Despite many eatery offering pizza these days, still Pizza Hut offers one of the best, at least in my opinion.

Towards the end of the meal, a fly buzzed at my table. I don't know what it is with the eatery at Jurong Point, but I also had a similar experience at the Delifrance there.
