I once had an expensive pair of glasses made here. The high price was because I chose a branded frame. But as it was larger than the frames I was accustomed to, the lens had to be thicker at the edges. This was explained to me by the staff, that it will look thicker.

But when I got the glasses it actually felt uncomfortable, due to its weight and thick lens which rub against my face. This wasn't told to me by the staff. I wanted to change it but the staff advised me to make adjustments instead, consequently I had to visit the shop a few times.

In the end, I decided to buy a second pair of glasses from another shop, although they did offer to exchange the frame for me.

This dental clinic changes its dentist from time to time. The instruments used are not the most up- to-date either. Despite this, it still have many patients, so you have to make an appoinment perhaps, weeks in advance.

Besides the normal cleansing service and the likes. It also does braces. I went for a tooth-filling before and the dentist inserted a metal screw between my teeth, it was not exactly painful but it was uncomfortable. I had tooth-filling done in other clinics, and the dentists never use this method.

Still, the dentist is professional and deliver satisfactory results. Price is average.

About $45 onward for cleaning. And $25-$30 upward for tooth-filling

What make me like about Jantzen is its reasonable pricing, qualified stylist and nice decor. A normal perm could cost about $100 over for medium to long hair. As it has quite a number of stylists, perming time could be shorter since there are more pairs of hands to do your hair. And unlike some salons, the stylists do not persuade you to buy their products.

For this outlet, the area is fairly large too, so you don't have could have to wait long for a seat.

So far, my experience is positive. Their skills are satisfactory, and they do your hair as you instruct them to.

Not a very large outlet, with its wide range of goods, you will have limited moving space on crowded days.

But its service isn't bad. There was this time when I was looking for an item, the staff didn't quite understand what I wanted but she listened patiently as I explained, and tried to help find it. Although the store didn''t sell it but still I appreciated the sales girl's effort.

However there is usually only one cashier open so there could be a queue during peak hours. Very inconvience if you are purchasing a few items.

You will get a work-out visiting this restaurant. Located on the second floor of a shophouse, you will have to climb a flight of stairs to reach it.

But apart from this flaw, the interior is well-decorated, service is good and the restaurant serve palatable fare, usually. Because once, I ordered a set-lunch, and the soup tasted real salty due to a generous sprinkle of salt by the cook. But lucky, the staff was kind enough to change it when I remonstrated. I never had any bad experience with the service here.

The restaurant also boost a good view of the surrounding areas if you choose a seat by the window.
