    66. Aussino (Paragon)

I was assigned to a important task during weekend and that is to help my mother to choose some bedsheets from aussino. Well, i guess its more to be a helping hand than a helping eye. hee hee.

This aussino store sells mainly bedsheets (different categories like oriential theme, children theme, luxury theme, etc). Beside the bedsheets, they also sells towels, slipper and sleeping robes. A rather wide range of products related to sleeping can be found here.

My mother started to browse around the shop and finally settled her eyes on a 200 threads bedsheet. Ok, their bedsheets are categoried by the number of threads. Take for an example, if you choose one with the highest number of threads, the bedsheets will be the smoothest and the most comfy one.

This particular set of bedsheets comes in two different colours - One is yellow colour and the other is pink colour. My mother prefers the pink colour one much more than the yellow one, but she did not see any pink colour bedsheets left on the shelves anymore.

Thus, she went to ask one of the sales girl if there are any more pink colour ones left. I was expecting the sales girl to say its all there - those find yourself kind of attitude.

To my surprise, this sales girl offered to help my mother search for the pink one. In the end, they managed to find some pink colour bed sheets but its of a different size.

Perhaps, my mother disappointment is shown greatly on her face, this sales girl even offered to check the other outlets for her. I was really impressed by the helpful service provided by them.

I never like shui jing pau, thats because of their super oily skin and thick chewy skin. I have once eaten a shui jing pau that seems like it had just come out from an oil bath. :S

Well, guess this is the only way that can keep the shui jing pau looked glossy and without sticking with one another together. However, this lien fa shui jing pau has make me changed my impression of shui jing pau totally.

The first thing that interest me is definitely the flavours offered for shui jing pau. Often, we will only see those shui jing pau with turnips as fillings, here in this particular stall, you will find not only turnips but also red bean and yam fillings. Interesting to taste something that is sweet rather than salty in shui jing pau. A different experience i can say.

The next thing is their glossy translucent appearance. Gone were the super oily skin, their skin has the just right amount of oil that keeps each shui jing pau apart. I liked their thickness of the skin which combines very well with the amount of fillngs. Thus, one will not feel overwhemled by the skin nor fillings.

I still prefer the traditional one - turnips as compared to the rest. This is perhaps due to the way that they did their fillings. With the right amount of turnips, dried shirmps and pepper, the fillings taste simply marvellous.

I have a sudden craving for fried fish bee hoon and i remember that there is one rather popular fish bee hoon store in china square. I decided to go just right there although i am unsure if they are still open on a Saturday late noon.

When i reach the China Square food court, there are practically not a single person seen having their meal, perhaps due to the long past lunch time. Since i am already at the food court itself, i decided to just walk over and check out if the store is still open at this time.

Guess what? They are one of the stall that is still open during this hour. Without any delay, i ordered one bowl of fried fish bee hoon.

Their fried fish bee hoon is rather different from the other types of fried fish bee hoon. Take for example, its soup is not white or milky in colour (no milk is added) and tastes good (without fishy taste). Believe that they uses fresh ingredients and long brewing time to produce this tasty soup.

Another special ingredient that they added into this fried fish bee hoon is the fried egg. This fried egg is done without me realizing that is an egg as its does not show the white and yellow part of an egg. Instead, its the golden strips winded together. Rather interesting to me as this is my first time to see such things.

The fish meat that they gave are pretty big chunk in size but it tastes pretty normal to me. Will definitely go back and try their fried fish bee hoon again if im around that area. :)

Actually the traditional teochew way of cooking fish soup entails adding egg into the soup. Its just that people are avoiding it cause of the high cholestral.

My very first laptop is actually from Toshiba. I bought it for the fact that it is one of the most reailable laptop maker found here and of course for it slightly cheaper price fare.

This laptop works pretty fine during my first year usuage. However towards the second year, the screen starts to get faulty where multiples lines are seen appearing on the laptop screen.

Was really very upset as how could a laptop be used for such a short period of time? Oh well, good news is that it is still in warranty so i decided to bring it over to data dynamics.

The place was pretty easy to be located thus not much time is spend in finding the place. There are also sufficient signage for me to locate the place for repair of laptops. The service area has a rather cosy place with nice and comfy sofa seats, which i thing is a thoughtful move for its customers.

There are three counters handling the customer repair thus waiting time was shorten tremendously. I waited about 10mins before my turn. The technician listened to my problems attentively and told me that my laptop will need at least 2 weeks for repair.

In less than one week, the technician actually called and tell me that they will need additional time to repair my laptop as their parts are not available yet. This which i think is a pretty good customer service. At least, they did not wait till i go all the way to their office then tell me that my laptop is not ready for collection.

This is the outlet that i spend more than half an hour searching for it. Well, when i saw that they are named as one of the top 5 curry puff store, i decided that i just have to try them out. And i can definitely say, my search is worth it.

This store sells only one product and in only one flavour, that is curry puffs. One can definitely know that their curry puff is of some standards just by looking at the numerous awards pasted on the wall. Priced at one dollars each, i can say its neither that expensive nor extremely cheap.

When i got my hands on the curry puffs, the first reaction is how come is soo hot and theres even steam coming out from the curry puffs itself. Then did i realise, it is because they are producing the curry puff very regularly so each customer may have just bought the curry puffs thay was just cooked.

I loved the curry puff skin as it is not overly soaked with oil, which make it the first curry puff that i took without feeling sinful.I do not know how they managed to do it but i am very impressed. Perhaps there is something to do with the skin flour batter. I do not know?

Not forgetting their super nice curry fillings. They have the normal kinds of fillings like the chicken meats, egg, and potatoes. What makes the fillings so special is actually the way they cooked it. Chicken meats are not smashed but cut into little cubes instead, so one can actually taste the chicken meat.

One will not feel thirsty while savoring the curry puff, this is because their filling has rather good proportion of curry sauce, chicken meat and potatoes. Just how can they make the fillings to the extend that is wet yet not too wet for the sauce to drip down?

Really impressed by they way they do up their curry puff, must have gone through lots of trial and error in order to achieve the perfect mix. Guess, one will require hard work in order to produce TIP TOP CURRY PUFFS.

I ate them since i was young, as they were directly opposite my uncle's shop. They cost about 60cents then, now it is $1. It is still my favourite compared to other companies...
