This is where I go to get my gift wrapping needs! Ya I know, they sell mostly plastic bags, boxes, takeaway packaging and other things. But these are also the best materials for a creative wrapping for presents.
I usually go there to buy those Japanese takeaway boxes and fill them up with different presents/ snacks to give to my friends for their birthday. It's cheap and creative! My friends love it.
So don't think SKP is only for the housewives and aunties ok! Young people like me loves going to SKP too!
I've been to 8Q sam a couple of times and each time I'm there, I experienced new things. Unlike other art museums, there's more interactivity in the exhibits at 8Q. It's surely meant to target the younger generation, like me!
The building used to be a school and so when you walk around 8Q, it seems like you're going for classes. You get to learn and experience new things in every classrooms in this 4 level building.
I enjoy my time at 8Q. And for just $4 (i'm still a student), my friends and I get to spend quality time learning and experiencing different form of arts. Like the current exhibit of Japan Media Arts. We get to play Wii games too!
I'll sure be checking back their website for new events and exhibitions.
Shopping at InQBox is almost like a treasure hunt trip in a small shop. This is a good place for local designers who need a place to host and sell their wares but can't afford a store on their own.
InQBox works in a concept of boxing things up. Each box is for rental to most people who has got things to sell. Products ranges from accessories to stationary, to gifts, aromatherapy stuff and many others. Products on sale varies since the box belongs to individual owners.
If you pass by one, you might want to go in and check it out. You'll never know what you'll find!
This is one of the nearer cinema for me. Like all other "older" GV cinemas, their seats are not spaced out enough, with little leg room, and couple of the seats have a stink to it. Nevertheless, people still go cos of the GV brand and also the many promotions they've planned for credit card holders and now their Movie card holders. (which everyone can apply for free)
The one thing I really hate about this cinema is the stairs. Especially if the cinema you're going is on the upper deck. Going up was easy cos there's the escalator. But going down can be quite a chore especially for those who have problem walking or for those with kids. Perhaps GV Tampines can try to look into the possibilities of changing the direction of the escalator when necessary for those who need it, or maybe try find space to build another down riding one?
But then again, with or without the escalator, it'll still be full house most of the time. So I don't think my concern is going to be solved.

Don't be mistaken by the name of this shop. Pure Milk doesn't sell any milk. This shop sells cool designed T-shirts and causal wear like jeans and skirts. They also have accessories and in house branded bags.
I quite like some of their T-shirt designs (around $25 if I didn't remember wrongly). And the good thing about them is that they've almost got new designs arriving weekly at the shop. The quality of the T-shirt is not bad too.
Great for the young and young at heart, who likes to look hip and cool.
