1hr 45min of waiting... was it worth it?

Nope, I don't think its worth the long wait. But then again, the wait might also be due to the timing we went. It's the fasting month and everyone wants to break fast as soon as they can, so hence the long long long wait. As you can see from the photo, if you want to get a seat at 7pm, you gotta be there at 4.30pm to get a queue number. We were there at 7pm, and was given a number of 42... which was a 1hr 45min wait.

The chicken was pretty good, better than KFC, but not the yummiest I've eaten. As of all fried chicken, oil was spilling out when you peeled open the meat. But the meat was fresh and tender, and oil stopped at the skin and it didn't affect the meat. The skin was crispy and not too fat. Thin and crunchy.

The sides that came with our combo for 2 includes 2 buns, fries, coslaw and 2 drinks. The fries were my favorite - crunchy and warm. And the coslaw was fine and well mixed. Buns and drinks taste the same as all fried buns and soft drinks.

If you want to give Arnolds a try, go after 13 October. Or go during lunch hour during fasting month. Else expect to wait for long long time.

I think you should just order through the phone. I haven't done my review on yebber yet but my blog reviewed the chicken already. The delivery service got to me in 15minutes! Haha

Was at Compasspoint last week and I was trying to find this place. Then I realised they've changed their name and price! I remembered paying less than $30 for an hour session of full body massage, but now its $40 ! Talking about GST hike!

Well, with the price increased, I'll rather go for a spa and massage package at some spa boutiques...

Btw, they are known as Refresh bodyworksnow.

Whenever I have time on my own, I like to go to Plaza Singapura. And out of 5 times, 3 of these days you'll find me at Secret Recipe having a piece of cheese cake.

From the first day I tasted their cheese cake, I feel head over heels with it! (But now I am having a fling with the White Choc Cake w/Macademias! *winks*)

First let me talk about the cheese cake... yes, it's small in size, but the size doesn't matter for this. If you can't have enough of it, order another one! This cheese cake is not too soft and not hard too. The texture is just nice for me. And the cheese taste is just right. Unlike some of the cheese cakes I had elsewhere, they tasted kinda sour. My favorite part of having Secret Recipe cheesecake is the crust below the cheese cake. It's kinda like biscuit. This cake is best eaten bit by bit. Slowly enjoying the melting of the cheese in your mouth... heavenly!

Now a little about my new fling. Their White Choc Cake w/mac nuts! I'm a white choc die-hard-fan! This is one cake that you cannot miss! My friend who doesn't like sweet stuff enjoyed this cake too! It's sponge is fluffy and the chocolate layered in between is great! This one is about 2.5 times the size of their cheese cake. So its advisable to share it with another friend.

This is one of my favorite holiday resort in Singapore! Started as a resort for civil servant only, now its also open for public booking.

Aloha Loyang is a much better location for gatherings and BBQ as compared to the other resorts at Pasir Ris and East Coast. The location although not that accessible, but its well worth it. The resort is bigger and has plentiful of space for big groups gatherings. And the kitchen in all the resorts is well equipped with all the necessary utensils and cutlery you'll need in a kitchen. You can even cook or fry your food! Just bring the ingredients and food!

If you like to swim, try their pool side resorts. You can almost jump into the pool from your resort. Great for families with kids. You can stay at the chalet to BBQ and cook the food while watching your kids have fun in the pool.

For more privacy and a bigger outdoor BBQ area, the garden terrace is my recommendation. Located at the corner or back of the resort compound, its quieter and more peaceful as you won't be able to hear all the screamings and shoutings at the pool. These terraces also has a big sheltered pavilions around the BBQ area. Ample seats for visitors and great place to host a buffet spread too.

If you've not tried Aloha Loyang, you should go check it out! Especially if you're a civil servant.

Its been awhile since I had the XXL Chicken nor the Tempura. I used to be a fan of Shihlin's snack, everytime I passed by an outlet, I'll want to buy either of my favorite (and many times, both at the same time *sin sin*). Ever since I started dieting, I've stopped eating both of them.

I've to agree that it's oily and unhealthy, and yes, there's slight difference in the taste/texture from different outlets. Guess for me, as long as there's lots and lots of chilli and pepper powder, I don't really care. *LOL*

Shihlin's Tempura is yummy! Although its like chewing on flour or whatever it is, but I like the taste and texture when you chew on them. Just thinking of it now, makes my mouth itch for some hot and spicy Tempura!
