Yoz.... This place is my childhood night time hang-outs.... Its not crowded, as you see after so long, nobody reviews it, however the place is still there.

Its a pretty nice place, concrete floors and sheltered, so no worries if it rains. Mosquitos, a few, so do bring along your sprays. Its a pretty safe place to hang out until after mid night and there are some snacks you can buy to munch down. Everything is provided for there. You could rent a rod for an hour or two, some dead see hum (cockles) or fresh meat will be given to you as bait with a small knife and plate for you to arrange your baits. Choose a nice spot with a net hanging at the side, be sure to check that the net don't belong to someone and there you are, your very own space for the next few hours.

Prawn catching is exciting... you watch the float go down and feels the nibbling of the line and then with one strong tug backwards, be sure the hook gets caught in the prawn and slowly haul it back while fighting not to loosen the hook. Prawns are usually larger in the head for better catch, some of those can get so huge that they look like baby lobsters with 2 long princers. Remove the hook and place them in the net. There you go... your first prawn catch... When u catch enough of those prawns, you could startup the Barbeque and have them eaten fresh from the stove... Its really pretty exciting and entertaining. When you finish, you could bring back the prawns in a nice bag, the trophy of your expedition.

Grabbing a cab there and back is a must. Theres a bus that goes to jurong bird park, just opposite the place however when its late, do call for a cab... waiting by the road is far and not efficient. Call a cab and you could tell them jurong bird park, they are sure to come by. Its still better then telling them.. i'm at this some place in yishun, bare ground with no road signs or some buildings you could mention...... all in all, a great place to hang for something different as the usual movies and dinner dates.....

Fancy a long weekday lunch with abit of fun... This is the place to go. With lunch served at a good price and a huge drink to go along with it, you get to have an hour or two hours of boardgame fun.

They have all sorts of boardgames there, even those I couldn't buy from takashimaya, they have it. Its really great to have so many choices of games to choose from without having to own any of them. Boardgames are like antiques. You get to show them off, have some fun with them at rare occasions when some friends gathers however antiques have a resale price and board games just grow older, dusty and tattered and torn with usage.

Playing boardgames are fun, in a very different way as computer games or sports. You don't need gym clothes or special sport equipment, you don't get to blame on the slow internet connection speed or PC speed or even a miscommunication. Board games make you come together have some real fun with real people watching each others facial expressions and reactions with each move and smelling their sweat and anxieties.

Though food was just the standard kind; fish and chips, chicken cutlet, some local fare and finger food, yet thats not the main thing.... Its a place for friends and family members to gather around, have some human fun while munching on junk without lossing a tooth or breaking a leg.

Its the place for some real fun.... If you haven't tried it.. you must find some time for it. If you already been there, then you must go there again with your friends. No friends? ask me lor..... Real Fun for REAL PEOPLE....

It really is not a very big place... somewhat tucked in between the many other buildings. One might not even thought that a safra club sits in the vacinity until an foreigner friend asked "what is that?". With no facilities like swimming pool, KTV area, restaurants and other game rooms, no wonder its called a town club. Town club are suppose to offer town stuffs.... But being in town has its perks too.. You could hang there while waiting for your friends or just to rest your legs, do somethings that you fancy while your wife or girlfriends shop nearby.

So, me and a safra member friend went to the club... Its just a place for computer games, pool and billard. Not a bad place to hang and prices are subsidised for safra members. Though there are many pool and billard places around, but its pretty great to have one that you have membership with them. Being a friend of a life safra membership holder, it is my responsibility to help him make good use of the membership and its perks.... So check out if your friend holds a safra membership, most ns man are members.... (that means... you at least got a 50% chance to meet a member)

It used to the best hangout place until i spot some cheap skinny uncles trying to show off their skinny *pride and honor* in their itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow translucent swimming trunks; or whichever pale colours they choose. They would just hang by the main pool suntanning and watching the girls tanning and walking by them, in and out of the pool to wet themselves and swerve by them again :( oh goodness........
I've even seen one with a white swimming trunks with just a tiny patch of black in front... oh for goodness sakes, stop thinking that we women and the vain showy kind.... see... man also the same.... With all that just happening by the main pool, the other parts of the pool is great.
My favourite... the lazy river... one could just rent a inflatable ring to sit on all day while the river brings you through obstacles like rainy water, caves, waterfalls and etc. Except that sometimes the calmness might be disturbed by some crazy teens doing crazy stuffs.... but.... we've all been through that stage, i ought to learn to be more understanding and try not to let them disturb my peace and fun....

The wave pool is great too.... Fancy being swept around by pool water that don't taste too salty and no sea weeds entangling your feet. I love best being on my inflated tube swept away by the waves while feeling the icy cool rain falling on my back on a hot sunny afternoon... That is the most wonderous feeling one could have.

Though the place and the facilities are already a little run down, however the place is still pretty clean and acceptably functional. Most importantly it is affordable and has a KFC for my hunger pangs....

California Fitness is somewhat an interesting place for those who love fitness as well as need a place to hang out now and then. For a good price (as compared to the other mega gyms around), cali (california in short), you get to go for various fitness classes, speed down the hill on a bike with hot music and an instructor pumping down your ears with encouragements that guarantees you walking like ducks later...

Cali do have a good range of gym equipment and the bugis outlet i pretty like it as they do have a boxing ring area for those who like to down the bags once in a while. Cardio area is downstairs and upstairs you get to pump up those muscles and have a great view of muscle marys and skinny joes... If you feel bored, this is a great place to hang out. You really get to see some regular people acting differently as you normally would see. Cranging sounds of weights banging against each other, hmphing sound of raising loads and shouts of victory as well as encouraging comments such as " touch your muscle.. Is it so hard....."

This is indeed a great place to hang out... not only to spend sometime with the body you battle with everyday, i think it somewhat is therapeutic to be invisible for a while, minding your own business and doing some workout soaking in an environment of positivity towards life.

All in all, cali is a wonderful place to hang out though the personal trainers and recruiters can be irritating when they hustle you and the steel stairway up to level 2 can be a pain in the @$$. Otherwise, all is pretty nice there...

Dear Guinea Pig Lovers... If you wonder, if Guinea pigs go to heaven? I think i just walked right into GP heaven on earth...

PetXchange is the Guinea Pig HEAVEN on earth.... You turn right... there are peeking at you from their cages.. Turn left another couple eyeing you curiously and you could hear continuos happy chattering as the piggies commune in their play spaces.

I've never seen so many different breeds, adorable and active guinea pigs for sale at one shop. This is a super must go shop for those who wants to choose and buy a piggy for themself.

I was just searching online for some super affordable guinea pig wares and necessities when i 'bumped' into PetXchange. As i entered the shop i was so super shocked... and what shocked me best was the super friendly owner. While i was 'ooowing' at one of the cute looking creature in the cage, he just walked by and carried him out and put him near my feet while he explained to me his character, breed and age. I was so surprised. Matter of fact, this was the only person that did that for me when i even didn't show interest for being. Eric was so kind to let me play with his piggies and took each out for me to touch and get to know them better and at the end of it... I can't wait to get back to the shop again.

I remembered when i bought my first 2 piggies at the other shops, even after i paid for my piggies, i don't get to hold them. All i get is the box and the poor frightened little pet shivering frantically inside. But this will not happen at PetXchange. They will make sure you get connected to the guinea pig first before deciding to purchase.

After you purchase your piggy, maintainance is an utmost important thing. Food, Hay, Toys and Cat;s Litter is super important for everyday life. Ever since my first visit to PetXchange, I never step into another pet shop to buy anything else. Because, for the same price to pay for one packet of lets say food outside... You could buy at least one and half of the same brand of food here. For the brand i buy its 2 packets of food. Everything sold in this shop is so affordable and i will never buy anything else other then for this shop. Even toys like huts, balls or water bottle is SUPER AFFORDABLE. I mean why pay for the membership to get the meagre 10% or at most 20% discount when here. You get everything at minimum 40% discount without having to beg or scrimp. Cages are the super expensive things though they are one time expenses, but don't forget your pets grow and they breed.. hopefully.... and they will need a bigger playboy mansion :). i have never came across a more economical priced shop selling cage then this.

Expect no frill..... but expect good prices....

Seriously.. If you are a cavy owner or owned some small animals.... This is the SHOP TO GO.... But its mine little secret... Don't start telling everybody.......... just tell your good friends.....

Don't have too many good friends...

We guinea pig owners... buy in style..... *perspire*

    G*Force RULEs............

Here I am sitted by the bright full length glass window, enjoying the warm soothing afternoon sun while still having the indoor air conditioning maintaining my cool and layers of expensive make-up on my flawless face. This outlet is one of my favourite outlets...

It is quite a chore to try to find a nice hideout in this building... With the bustling crowd of lunching white collars and eager agents with their laptops presenting their products... Few know about this place. Its good because its not crowded, serve decently priced food and drinks as well as few servers to give you the eye. Complimentary on the house, you still get the pretty view of the river, occasionally, some wide-eyed tourist boarding the HIPPO RIVER TAXI and when evening comes, some crazy teens on the Singapore Bungy screaming their heads off.....

I would say.. what is really nice is not the food here.... though they are pretty and yummy, what is excellent here is the unoppressed feeling that it brings... Stretegically placed tables and couches allow one to be able to hideaway in a corner while tall mirrors allow us to amplify our view to see who's coming up behind us. It is extremely eco-friendly too. The bright sun rays brightens up the place and no halogen lights needs to be turned on... Do you know that one halogen bulbs takes up at least 50W of power and emits a harmful UVA, UVB and UVC rays...

So much so for a wonderful experience.. till the next review....

They are located at the corner nearer to the Intercontinental Hotel. If you could not find it... Check out the bunch of school girls exclaiming "So Cute!!! So Cute!!!" at the glass panals... Thats the shop!!!

This outlet I notice... have one of the most live animals besides the flag ship outlet at vivo and holland village. You can find Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, hamsters of various breeds as well as rats if you like.. Not to forget fishes and turtles. The shop though small, can house many things... including colourful cages with rotating balconies and tanks for fishes...

One of the many outlets i patronise frequently, their service is great. Helpful and informative. They even taught me how to get my membership number online so that I can chalk up the points of what little things i buy. Theres this once i called up their hotline and boy... the operator was so gentle, understanding, helpful and informative.

Though i find maybe a little long winded, He offered me great solutions, contact numbers for the outlets and things to look out for and helpful information to beware of. I am very VERY impressed by the extent of service they offer....

Time Flies... My lovely guinea pig is already coming 2 years old... and is still a bachelor. While looking around for a beautiful girlfriend to share his bachelor pad with, I could not but browse at every Pet Lovers Centre. Reason being, they are just everywhere.. Conveniently located at many shopping spots, you can never miss them. Most importantly, they have a good supply of small pets almost at every stall.

I compared the prices of pet supplies and find them priced quite reasonably. On top of that, for a mere $50 of purchase and above, you could get their free delivery.... Thats a super great service they offer... imagine lunging a 35litre of Cats Litter walking around. Its a physical and emotional disaster.

They do have some pretty good promos around sometimes for 20% discount on food and necessity. I am also impressed services they offer. They have a vet like staff in almost every outlet that sells live animals and they are knowledgable as well as helpful. I get most of my know how to take of my GP from them.

If you need a pet... This is a place you can go to... Healthy pets and fresh supply of goods... with free delivery.....

Its been ages since I've KTVed again.. and on this exciting evening, we decided to Sing Till our Eyes pop out again!!! Well this time, we hope we don't dance around like the past.... "the young ones... Oh darling we're the young ones...."

My pals RAVE about this PARTY WORLD chain of KTVs.. and I always wondered why. with the dangerously reducing prices of the growing sizes LCD screen and booming sound systems that can blast your ears out of your head.. I cannot imagine how much more exciting can a KTV get... But i was sorely wrong.... and at the end of the night.. I swear.. I will come back again, bringing my huge family and external families along.

When we reached the lobby, I was pretty surprised at the comfort level of the place. There were nice comfy leather couches as well as a massage chair... I really don't mind waiting.....

We were issued a room shortly.. Well, Its friday night and peak hour, but we still get a room and the prices of the rooms are great.. We managed to block 4 hours at $57 which i think is a great price for 3.... While being led to our room prepared.... I could feel the excitement of this places.. Many waitresses and waiters providing ample attention and the place was clean, no sticky or soggy carpets on the floor...

The room was beautiful.. Deco fantastically fun to be in with LED and Disco lights everywhere creating excitement and fun. The selection of songs were great and there are other stuffs to place as well as instead of just singing.. There are dices, a cheese boards and some party stuffs for us to clown around with.

We ordered a bottle of red wine.. but to our dismay, the wine totally sucks and is very pricey.. So a word of warning... stick to the nomalities... if you want to drink... drink at the drinking places..... However, its a KTV, and alcohol hurts your throat, so if you don't want to squeal and shreek while singing your favourite song, stick to the non-alc drinks.

The toilet is great too... at least there are toilet paper... they refill them frequent enough.. and that is important for me. While walking to the toilet, i actually saw a smoking room... Like a fish tank.... its cute, innovative and friendly... All in all, this a wonderful place to PARTY.. not just for singing only:)
